efficacy_n to_o change_v our_o nature_n as_o if_o in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n god_n do_v not_o write_v his_o law_n in_o our_o heart_n but_o only_o forgive_v our_o sin_n he_o do_v both_o in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o where_o god_n make_v a_o combination_n we_o must_v not_o break_v it_o efficacy_n and_o merit_n justification_n and_o sanctification_n water_n and_o blood_n go_v together_o there_o must_v be_v a_o change_n but_o to_o follow_v the_o point_n a_o little_a further_o there_o must_v be_v change_n because_o no_o holy_a action_n can_v come_v from_o a_o unchanged_a power_n and_o faculty_n else_o action_n spring_v from_o power_n and_o faculty_n they_o be_v suitable_a to_o they_o therefore_o there_o must_v be_v a_o change_n in_o the_o power_n and_o faculty_n of_o the_o soul_n before_o there_o be_v a_o change_n in_o the_o life_n and_o conversation_n these_o three_o follow_v in_o nature_n the_o form_n and_o live_v and_o be_v of_o thing_n and_o power_n and_o action_n issue_v from_o the_o power_n so_o in_o the_o life_n of_o grace_n and_o sanctification_n there_o be_v a_o power_n and_o ability_n to_o believe_v in_o god_n and_o to_o be_v holy_a and_o to_o love_n god_n and_o then_o the_o action_n of_o love_n spring_n from_o that_o power_n we_o live_v and_o then_o we_o have_v a_o power_n to_o move_v in_o nature_n be_v and_o life_n and_o move_v go_v together_o so_o if_o we_o have_v a_o be_v in_o grace_n we_o have_v a_o power_n to_o move_v i_o beseech_v you_o therefore_o consider_v the_o necessity_n of_o a_o change_n of_o the_o inward_a man_n of_o the_o power_n &_o faculty_n of_o the_o soul_n can_v the_o eye_n see_v without_o a_o power_n of_o see_v or_o the_o ear_n hear_v without_o a_o faculty_n of_o hear_v can_v the_o soul_n perform_v sanctify_v action_n without_o a_o sanctify_a power_n it_o be_v impossible_a and_o especial_o the_o alteration_n and_o change_n be_v in_o the_o will_n will_n which_o some_o will_v have_v untouched_a they_o will_v have_v it_o free_a those_o that_o will_v have_v no_o more_o give_v to_o grace_n than_o needs_o must_v but_o grace_n work_v upon_o the_o will_v most_o of_o all_o divinity_n rule_v the_o nature_n turn_v the_o soul_n downward_o to_o thing_n below_o when_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n enter_v into_o the_o soul_n it_o be_v not_o only_o by_o mere_a outward_a persuasion_n to_o leave_v it_o to_o the_o liberty_n of_o will_n but_o it_o alter_v the_o taste_n of_o the_o will_n the_o soul_n be_v carry_v up_o and_o be_v shut_v to_o thing_n below_o it_o use_v the_o world_n as_o though_o it_o live_v in_o this_o world_n of_o nature_n and_o grace_n therefore_o there_o will_v be_v conflict_n in_o every_o holy_a duty_n the_o flesh_n will_v draw_v back_o when_o the_o spirit_n will_v be_v liberal_a the_o flesh_n will_v say_v oh_o but_o i_o may_v want_v when_o the_o spirit_n will_v be_v most_o courageous_a the_o flesh_n will_v say_v but_o there_o be_v danger_n in_o it_o so_o that_o there_o be_v nothing_o that_o we_o can_v do_v but_o it_o must_v be_v get_v out_o of_o the_o fire_n we_o must_v resist_v yet_o notwithstanding_o here_o be_v liberty_n to_o do_v good_a because_o here_o disciple_n when_o they_o be_v dead_a heart_a and_o drowsy_a when_o they_o shall_v have_v comfort_v he_o in_o the_o garden_n oh_o say_v he_o the_o spirit_n be_v willing_a but_o the_o flesh_n be_v weak_a indeed_o there_o be_v a_o double_a hindrance_n in_o god_n people_n duty_n when_o they_o be_v about_o holy_a duty_n sometime_o from_o their_o very_a mould_n &_o nature_n consider_v not_o as_o there_o be_v invincible_a infirmity_n and_o weakness_n in_o nature_n sometime_o deadness_n after_o labour_n and_o expense_n of_o spirit_n creep_v in_o invincible_o that_o a_o man_n can_v overcome_v those_o necessity_n of_o nature_n so_o that_o the_o spirit_n may_v be_v willing_a and_o the_o flesh_n weak_a the_o flesh_n without_o any_o great_a corruption_n god_n look_v upon_o our_o necessity_n as_o the_o father_n say_v free_v i_o from_o my_o necessity_n as_o we_o see_v christ_n make_v a_o excuse_n for_o they_o it_o be_v not_o so_o much_o corruption_n though_o that_o be_v a_o ingredient_n strive_v christ_n be_v ready_a to_o make_v excuse_n for_o we_o if_o our_o heart_n be_v right_a the_o spirit_n be_v willing_a but_o the_o flesh_n be_v weak_a i_o speak_v this_o for_o the_o comfort_n of_o the_o best_a sort_n of_o christian_n that_o think_v they_o be_v not_o set_v at_o liberty_n by_o the_o spirit_n be-because_a they_o find_v some_o heaviness_n and_o dulness_n in_o good_a duty_n as_o i_o say_v there_o be_v sin_n in_o we_o while_o we_o live_v here_o but_o it_o reign_v not_o after_o a_o man_n have_v the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n maintain_v a_o law_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o life_n in_o christ_n jesus_n have_v free_v i_o from_o the_o law_n of_o sin_n and_o of_o death_n the_o law_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o life_n that_o be_v the_o command_a liberty_n to_o fight_v and_o in_o fight_v to_o overcome_v at_o last_o when_o the_o israelite_n have_v a_o promise_n that_o god_n will_v give_v their_o enemy_n into_o their_o hand_n the_o meaning_n where_o these_o outward_a liberty_n be_v it_o be_v a_o sign_n that_o god_n have_v a_o intendment_n to_o set_v man_n at_o spiritual_a liberty_n those_o therefore_o that_o be_v enemy_n of_o the_o of_o god_n answ._n we_o must_v fix_v the_o eye_n of_o the_o soul_n fix_v our_o mediation_n upon_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n clear_a and_o the_o excellency_n of_o christ_n a_o move_a object_n roll_a of_o god_n shine_v in_o the_o gospel_n with_o the_o dust_n of_o the_o world_n as_o the_o apostle_n say_v in_o the_o next_o chapter_n the_o god_n of_o this_o world_n blind_v the_o eye_n of_o man_n
