excellent_a example_n and_o practice_n the_o rule_n of_o our_o life_n strive_v to_o imitate_v and_o follow_v the_o same_o in_o all_o the_o course_n and_o carriage_n of_o our_o life_n set_a his_o our_o saviour_n for_o confirmation_n of_o his_o doctrine_n and_o this_o they_o mention_v as_o another_o special_a cause_n of_o their_o astonishment_n and_o admiration_n that_o so_o mean_v a_o person_n shall_v be_v able_a not_o only_o to_o preach_v such_o doctrine_n and_o in_o so_o excellent_a manner_n but_o also_o to_o seal_v the_o truth_n of_o that_o doctrine_n by_o such_o powerful_a miracle_n so_o much_o of_o the_o meaning_n of_o the_o word_n observe_v 1_o observe_v 1._o in_o that_o these_o nazarite_n the_o countryman_n of_o christ_n do_v acknowledge_v and_o wonder_v at_o the_o excellent_a testimony_n of_o the_o spirit_n be_v the_o only_a mean_n able_a undoubted_o to_o persuade_v the_o conscience_n that_o the_o scripture_n be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n if_o no_o man_n can_v say_v that_o private_a teach_n he_o use_v the_o same_o gesture_n and_o preparation_n when_o he_o wâ—s_v in_o any_o special_a manner_n to_o teach_v and_o instruct_v his_o disciple_n in_o some_o very_a weighty_a matter_n or_o point_n of_o doctrine_n such_o as_o this_o be_v touch_v the_o practice_n of_o true_a humility_n which_o he_o be_v now_o mind_v to_o instruct_v his_o disciple_n in_o and_o therefore_o he_o sit_v down_o before_o he_o begin_v to_o teach_v they_o show_v thereby_o that_o he_o be_v now_o mind_v to_o instruct_v they_o in_o this_o matter_n not_o slight_o or_o negligent_o but_o careful_o diligent_o and_o thorough_o as_o be_v a_o matter_n of_o great_a use_n and_o necessity_n for_o they_o to_o learn_v where_o by_o the_o way_n also_o it_o seem_v very_o probable_a that_o â—eeing_v our_o be_v a_o very_a serious_a and_o weighty_a matter_n and_o of_o great_a necessity_n for_o his_o disciple_n to_o learn_v reason_n reas_n humility_n be_v the_o very_a ground_n and_o foundation_n of_o true_a religion_n and_o christianity_n without_o which_o we_o can_v be_v christ_n true_a disciple_n the_o first_o lesson_n to_o be_v learn_v in_o his_o school_n be_v this_o to_o deny_v ourselves_o as_o we_o hear_v before_o chap._n 8._o which_o can_v be_v without_o true_a humility_n yea_o this_o be_v such_o a_o grace_n without_o which_o we_o be_v unfit_a for_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n matth._n 18._o 3._o very_o i_o say_v unto_o you_o except_o you_o be_v convert_v and_o become_v as_o little_a child_n you_o shall_v not_o enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n a_o grace_n answerable_a to_o the_o mean_n they_o enjoy_v and_o have_v perhaps_o enjoy_v for_o long_a time_n for_o many_o year_n etc._n etc._n some_o bring_v forth_o no_o fruit_n at_o all_o but_o remain_v as_o barren_a and_o fruitless_a as_o those_o that_o never_o have_v the_o mean_n as_o far_o from_o faith_n repentance_n etc._n etc._n as_o if_o they_o have_v never_o have_v the_o ministry_n of_o the_o word_n among_o they_o other_o bring_v forth_o perhaps_o some_o fruit_n at_o least_o in_o show_n but_o nothing_o answerable_a to_o the_o plenty_n of_o mean_n which_o they_o have_v have_v and_o do_v still_o enjoy_v etc._n etc._n fearful_a be_v the_o estate_n of_o such_o barren_a and_o fruitless_a christian_n be_v under_o the_o wrath_n and_o curse_n of_o god_n so_o long_o as_o they_o so_o continue_v like_o barren_a tree_n good_a for_o nothing_o but_o to_o be_v cut_v down_o and_o make_v fuel_n for_o the_o fire_n or_o like_o barren_a earth_n which_o bear_v nothing_o but_o brier_n and_o thorn_n which_o be_v nigh_o unto_o the_o curse_n and_o who_o end_n be_v to_o be_v burn_v see_v then_o that_o it_o be_v no_o small_a sin_n to_o live_v unprofitable_o under_o the_o mean_n of_o grace_n
