of_o redemption_n the_o condition_n run_v thus_o make_v thy_o soul_n a_o offer_n for_o sin_n and_o thou_o shall_v see_v thy_o seed_n answ._n i_o wonder_v at_o the_o learned_a author_n who_o make_v these_o distinction_n i_o can_v be_v of_o his_o mind_n i_o rather_o judge_v the_o difference_n in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n or_o covenant_n of_o redemption_n lie_v here_o viz._n christ_n have_v free_o give_v to_o we_o through_o the_o redemption_n of_o his_o blood_n etc._n etc._n 1._o christ_n work_v for_o life_n but_o we_o work_v not_o but_o believe_v on_o he_o that_o justify_v the_o ungodly_a 2._o christ_n have_v not_o what_o he_o have_v by_o grace_n but_o by_o desert_n but_o though_o our_o saviour_n have_v his_o reward_n in_o the_o covenant_n on_o merit_a condition_n viz._n pray_v what_o be_v his_o reward_n be_v he_o sure_a or_o certain_a of_o any_o one_o soul_n as_o the_o reward_n of_o all_o this_o hard_a work_n and_o suffering_n etc._n etc._n why_o this_o author_n tell_v we_o he_o shall_v see_v his_o seed_n or_o have_v a_o seed_n that_o be_v he_o shall_v have_v all_o the_o elect_v bring_v in_o and_o unite_v to_o he_o viz._n be_v sure_a of_o they_o or_o have_v this_o certain_a reward_n and_o not_o leave_v on_o uncertain_a condition_n of_o faith_n and_o obedience_n to_o be_v perform_v by_o the_o miserable_a deprave_a and_o wretched_a creature_n which_o if_o so_o how_o can_v they_o be_v two_o distinct_a covenant_n certain_o in_o it_o there_o be_v infinite_a grace_n show_v towards_o we_o 3._o as_o to_o the_o other_o condition_n in_o the_o covenant_n of_o redemption_n it_o be_v large_a to_o christ_n than_o that_o in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n i_o answer_v as_o the_o covenant_n be_v primary_o make_v with_o christ_n it_o be_v make_v with_o he_o body_n shall_v be_v eternal_o save_v who_o be_v unite_v to_o he_o as_o the_o reward_n of_o his_o work_n the_o condition_n therefore_o be_v make_v to_o he_o as_o the_o head_n of_o the_o whole_a body_n it_o must_v needs_o be_v so_o large_a and_o extensive_a but_o as_o to_o the_o particular_a member_n that_o can_v comprehend_v more_o than_o he_o or_o she_o that_o believe_v as_o a_o part_n of_o the_o seed_n which_o he_o be_v to_o see_v it_o be_v enough_o therefore_o that_o we_o be_v the_o save_v the_o redeem_a and_o not_o the_o saviour_n or_o redemer_n of_o other_o but_o if_o by_o virtue_n of_o why_o be_v not_o the_o purport_n of_o it_o this_o i._o e._n christ_n as_o mediator_n have_v so_o far_o satisfy_v for_o the_o breach_n of_o the_o law_n of_o perfect_a obedience_n or_o give_v to_o god_n such_o a_o valuable_a recompense_n that_o he_o may_v just_o wave_v and_o not_o exact_a or_o execute_v the_o law_n of_o work_n or_o have_v relax_v the_o severity_n thereof_o and_o take_v it_o away_o or_o faith_n and_o gospel_n holiness_n they_o shall_v be_v justify_v and_o save_v so_o that_o our_o right_n to_o life_n and_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n peace_n of_o conscience_n and_o hope_v of_o
