so_o far_o as_o shall_v be_v for_o the_o soul_n own_o good_a and_o advantage_n so_o that_o from_o these_o consideration_n even_o those_o limit_a promise_n prove_v as_o absolute_a as_o all_o the_o other_o promise_n of_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n so_o that_o you_o see_v there_o be_v no_o promise_n belong_v to_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n but_o what_o be_v mere_o grace_n no_o condition_n may_v come_v in_o to_o challenge_v any_o thing_n in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n prem_n 3._o three_o i_o must_v premise_v that_o all_o those_o promise_n that_o seem_v to_o be_v make_v to_o condition_n in_o soul_n they_o be_v include_v under_o one_o of_o these_o five_o head_n 1._o they_o be_v make_v to_o person_n have_v such_o condition_n in_o they_o as_o put_v they_o into_o a_o case_n promise_n shall_v be_v make_v to_o that_o precious_a grace_n of_o love_n methinks_v this_o shall_v it_o run_v every_o way_n in_o the_o nature_n of_o a_o promise_n but_o yet_o hence_o it_o appear_v it_o be_v no_o promise_n make_v to_o love_a christ_n as_o a_o condition_n upon_o which_o the_o promise_n shall_v be_v fulfil_v in_o regard_n that_o disposition_n

to_o pray_v which_o be_v a_o humble_a frame_n a_o turn_a frame_n from_o their_o sin_n neither_o do_v god_n make_v the_o promise_n in_o either_o of_o both_o those_o place_n to_o depend_v upon_o any_o of_o these_o duty_n name_v not_o so_o much_o as_o prayer_n itself_o therefore_o for_o the_o clear_n these_o text_n i_o pray_v consider_v these_o thing_n which_o may_v be_v useful_a for_o we_o for_o the_o right_a understanding_n the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o the_o nature_n of_o it_o i._o that_o the_o duty_n here_o require_v by_o god_n from_o his_o people_n be_v the_o way_n wherein_o it_o be_v his_o will_n his_o people_n shall_v walk_v in_o receive_v mercy_n they_o be_v not_o precedent_n in_o order_n of_o time_n before_o the_o lord_n intitul_a the_o soul_n to_o the_o whole_a covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o every_o promise_v contain_v in_o it_o no_o nor_o so_o much_o as_o in_o order_n of_o nature_n that_o be_v that_o it_o must_v be_v presuppose_v that_o the_o soul_n have_v perform_v in_o these_o two_o thing_n first_o that_o the_o act_n of_o the_o lord_n will_v alone_o before_o and_o without_o any_o act_n of_o the_o will_n of_o man_n concur_v do_v full_o entitle_v the_o soul_n to_o every_o promise_n of_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n otherwise_o it_o shall_v be_v conceive_v that_o there_o shall_v be_v some_o good_a will_n in_o man_n towards_o god_n before_o there_o be_v any_o good_a will_n in_o god_n towards_o man_n and_o so_o some_o act_n of_o good_a will_n from_o man_n to_o god_n shall_v not_o flow_v from_o the_o act_n of_o god_n good_a will_n to_o the_o soul_n second_o in_o regard_n the_o

least_o degree_n but_o these_o relative_a mercy_n be_v only_o include_v in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n with_o limitation_n so_o as_o they_o be_v mercy_n consider_v with_o such_o circumstance_n consider_v as_o be_v communicate_v to_o such_o person_n in_o such_o order_n in_o such_o manner_n in_o such_o degree_n now_o it_o be_v of_o these_o mercy_n only_o that_o these_o duty_n require_v by_o god_n may_v go_v before_o in_o order_n of_o nature_n to_o the_o lord_n intitle_v the_o soul_n to_o the_o mercy_n 2._o observe_v though_o these_o duty_n may_v go_v before_o and_o ordinary_o must_v go_v before_o the_o lord_n intitle_v the_o soul_n to_o such_o mercy_n yet_o it_o be_v not_o the_o duty_n that_o give_v the_o soul_n the_o right_a to_o those_o mercy_n thus_o to_o be_v enjoy_v suppose_v they_o be_v mercy_n and_o then_o all_o these_o mercy_n be_v as_o absolute_o promise_v in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n as_o those_o absolute_a eternal_a mercy_n that_o can_v but_o be_v mercy_n however_o they_o be_v communicate_v 3._o it_o be_v not_o the_o duty_n nor_o the_o performance_n of_o it_o that_o give_v the_o soul_n the_o right_a and_o title_n to_o the_o promise_n so_o that_o the_o
