because_o there_o be_v now_o a_o change_n and_o alteration_n in_o the_o law_n the_o whole_a ceremonial_a law_n be_v abrogate_a and_o lay_v aside_o and_o for_o they_o to_o put_v themselves_o under_o a_o obligation_n to_o keep_v a_o law_n that_o be_v now_o abrogate_a be_v sinful_a and_o will_v have_v deprive_v they_o of_o any_o benefit_n by_o christ_n though_o they_o oblige_v themselves_o to_o keep_v it_o in_o that_o sense_n in_o which_o the_o jew_n under_o the_o first_o testament_n be_v bind_v to_o keep_v it_o and_o their_o keep_n of_o it_o be_v acceptable_a to_o god_n and_o profitable_a the_o law_n they_o have_v imbibe_v from_o their_o false_a teacher_n and_o tell_v they_o that_o in_o case_n they_o be_v circumcise_v that_o be_v as_o oblige_v themselves_o to_o the_o law_n in_o the_o sense_n now_o mention_v they_o will_v be_v debtor_n to_o do_v the_o whole_a law_n not_o only_o upright_o and_o sincere_o but_o to_o do_v absolute_o all_o thing_n write_v therein_o see_v neither_o those_o to_o who_o it_o be_v apply_v of_o those_o great_a gospel-blessing_n righteousness_n interest_n in_o god_n and_o sanctification_n than_o it_o be_v a_o gospel-ordinance_n but_o the_o former_a be_v true_a therefore_o the_o latter_a i_o be_o aware_a mr._n g._n will_v deny_v the_o assumption_n but_o i_o prove_v it_o thus_o if_o that_o covenant_n gen._n 17.7_o be_v the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o circumcision_n be_v the_o token_n of_o that_o covenant_n and_o as_o such_o a_o representation_n and_o seal_n to_o those_o to_o who_o it_o be_v apply_v of_o those_o forementioned_a be_v to_o i_o unimaginable_a but_o this_o be_v all_o that_o mr._n g._n can_v find_v in_o the_o covenant_n itself_o as_o a_o reason_n induce_v he_o to_o think_v it_o be_v not_o a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n but_o must_v needs_o be_v the_o old_a covenant_n whereas_o the_o reason_n why_o he_o can_v find_v what_o he_o look_v after_o be_v because_o he_o will_v not_o see_v it_o and_o indeed_o none_o so_o blind_a as_o they_o that_o will_v not_o see_v 2._o he_o argue_v from_o the_o subject_n of_o this_o covenant_n and_o he_o argue_v thus_o if_o the_o covenant_n of_o circumcision_n have_v be_v the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o circumcision_n the_o sign_n of_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n than_o have_v all_o true_a subject_n of_o it_o as_o such_o be_v new_a creature_n in_o christ_n jesus_n but_o the_o true_a or_o right_a subject_n of_o the_o covenant_n i_o suppose_v he_o mean_v this_o covenant_n and_o sign_n as_o such_o be_v not_o new_a creature_n in_o christ_n jesus_n before_o i_o jesus_n be_v indispensable_o necessary_a to_o the_o salvation_n of_o man_n under_o the_o first_o testament_n if_o he_o say_v it_o be_v than_o i_o deny_v his_o minor_a proposition_n and_o affirm_v on_o the_o other_o hand_n that_o all_o the_o true_a and_o right_a subject_n of_o this_o covenant_n i_o mean_v of_o such_o as_o be_v of_o ripe_a year_n ought_v to_o have_v be_v new_a creature_n and_o then_o moses_n but_o for_o further_a satisfaction_n to_o this_o see_v my_o answer_n to_o mr._n cox_n p._n 117._o but_o 4._o there_o be_v yet_o one_o thing_n more_o that_o mr._n g._n seem_v to_o lay_v great_a weight_n upon_o and_o that_o be_v this_o that_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n be_v not_o peculiar_a to_o abraham_n and_o his_o but_o common_a to_o other_o though_o they_o be_v not_o circumcise_a which_o after_o he_o express_v thus_o the_o obligation_n to_o be_v circumcise_v be_v peculiar_a to_o abraham_n and_o to_o his_o seed_n or_o family_n in_o such_o a_o sense_n as_o none_o but_o they_o circumcision_n a_o gospel-ordinance_n be_v impossible_a to_o imagine_v but_o that_o which_o i_o suppose_v
that_o the_o covenant_n he_o be_v receive_v into_o and_o of_o which_o baptism_n be_v a_o sign_n or_o seal_n neither_o be_v nor_o can_v be_v the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n because_o he_o have_v his_o faith_n reckon_v to_o he_o for_o righteousness_n before_o his_o baptism_n or_o while_n in_o a_o unbaptised_a condition_n how_o absurd_a will_v that_o be_v so_o that_o this_o argument_n be_v so_o far_o good_a promise_v in_o it_o and_o for_o the_o more_o clear_a understanding_n the_o true_a tenor_n of_o this_o covenant_n these_o three_o thing_n must_v be_v observe_v 1._o that_o the_o covenant_n be_v
