those_o to_o who_o it_o be_v apply_v of_o those_o great_a gospel-blessing_n righteousness_n interest_n in_o god_n and_o sanctification_n than_o it_o be_v a_o gospel-ordinance_n but_o the_o former_a be_v true_a therefore_o the_o latter_a i_o be_o aware_a mr._n g._n will_v deny_v the_o assumption_n but_o i_o prove_v it_o thus_o if_o that_o covenant_n gen._n 17.7_o be_v the_o covenant_n of_o be_v all_o mere_a mistake_v and_o scare-crow_n the_o effect_n of_o a_o cloud_a fancy_n as_o 1._o that_o we_o go_v to_o moses_n for_o a_o institution_n of_o baptism_n when_o as_o we_o go_v not_o to_o moses_n but_o to_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n establish_v with_o our_o father_n abraham_n and_o his_o seed_n in_o their_o generation_n and_o confirm_v of_o god_n in_o christ_n 430_o year_n before_o the_o law_n be_v give_v by_o moses_n for_o his_o second_o viz._n 2._o that_o our_o practice_n lay_v a_o foundation_n for_o a_o national_a church_n it_o be_v still_o a_o gross_a mistake_n it_o be_v believer_n be_v by_o virtue_n of_o their_o parent_n faith_n in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n unite_v or_o ingraft_v into_o christ_n contrary_a to_o eph._n 2._o but_o that_o our_o practice_n shall_v contradict_v the_o apostle_n in_o that_o eph._n 2._o where_o all_o be_v say_v to_o be_v child_n of_o wrath_n which_o be_v the_o word_n i_o suppose_v he_o have_v reference_n to_o suppose_v our_o principle_n right_o understand_v be_v unimaginable_a yea_o it_o be_v because_o we_o believe_v they_o to_o be_v child_n of_o wrath_n as_o well_o as_o other_o that_o we_o so_o earnest_o contend_v for_o their_o covenant-interest_n and_o the_o dueness_n of_o their_o baptism_n up_o on_o the_o account_n thereof_o they_o may_v be_v and_o be_v child_n of_o wrath_n by_o nature_n as_o have_v sin_v in_o adam_n and_o be_v shape_v in_o iniquity_n and_o conceive_v in_o sin_n and_o yet_o upon_o their_o birth_n into_o the_o world_n be_v as_o the_o seed_n of_o believe_a parent_n take_v with_o their_o not_o the_o child_n of_o wrath_n and_o in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n at_o one_o and_o the_o same_o instant_n of_o time_n their_o state_n as_o child_n of_o wrath_n precede_v their_o state_n as_o in_o covenant_n with_o god_n 4._o as_o for_o the_o four_o absurdity_n it_o be_v deceive_v of_o soul_n i_o shall_v only_o say_v that_o if_o any_o such_o thing_n do_v happen_v it_o be_v from_o the_o and_o proper_a subject_n of_o the_o token_n of_o that_o covenant_n which_o now_o be_v baptism_n but_o the_o former_a be_v true_a therefore_o the_o latter_a now_o let_v we_o see_v what_o our_o author_n have_v say_v to_o this_o argument_n and_o it_o may_v be_v observe_v that_o he_o do_v not_o at_o least_o express_o deny_v that_o covenant_n to_o be_v the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n yea_o implicit_o he_o grant_v it_o so_o to_o be_v wherein_o he_o leave_v if_o not_o the_o most_o of_o those_o who_o especial_o of_o late_a have_v plead_v the_o same_o cause_n with_o himself_o i_o suppose_v he_o have_v affirm_v that_o that_o covenant_n be_v actual_o enter_v only_o with_o abraham_n and_o his_o natural_a seed_n immediate_o proceed_v from_o his_o own_o loin_n and_o that_o all_o his_o natural_a seed_n mediate_o descend_v from_o he_o hold_v their_o interest_n in_o the_o covenant_n either_o as_o his_o spiritual_a seed_n or_o as_o their_o infant-seed_n and_o that_o abraham_n natural_a seed_n immediate_o descend_v from_o his_o own_o loin_n be_v take_v into_o this_o covenant_n with_o abraham_n himself_o be_v make_v evident_a past_o all_o rational_a contradiction_n see_v my_o as_o for_o that_o in_o rom._n 9.7_o 8._o see_v my_o infant-baptism_n part_n 1_o chap._n 7._o throughout_o where_o i_o have_v prove_v that_o the_o apostle_n be_v so_o far_o from_o exclude_v abraham_n or_o any_o believer_n natural_a seed_n from_o this_o covenant_n or_o any_o promise_n of_o it_o that_o as_o to_o abraham_n immediate_a natural_a seed_n he_o necessary_o suppose_v their_o interest_n
