and_o efficacy_n of_o his_o bless_a word_n let_v some_o show_v we_o the_o person_n who_o only_o by_o read_v the_o new_a testament_n be_v convince_v of_o infant-baptism_n though_o it_o be_v true_a divers_a by_o read_v of_o the_o write_n of_o learned_a man_n and_o their_o subtle_a and_o sophistical_a argument_n for_o so_o i_o must_v call_v they_o have_v be_v persuade_v to_o believe_v it_o to_o be_v of_o god._n yet_o after_o all_o some_o of_o they_o have_v plain_o signify_v the_o great_a ground_n and_o argument_n they_o build_v upon_o be_v this_o viz._n because_o such_o and_o such_o learned_a godly_a and_o wise_a man_n assert_v it_o to_o be_v a_o truth_n of_o christ_n so_o that_o it_o appear_v very_o clear_a they_o build_v their_o faith_n herein_o not_o upon_o the_o authority_n of_o god_n word_n but_o upon_o the_o credit_n and_o authority_n of_o men._n but_o certain_o it_o must_v needs_o as_o i_o say_v reflect_v upon_o the_o honour_n and_o faithfulness_n of_o christ_n to_o conclude_v infant-baptism_n to_o be_v of_o god_n for_o can_v any_o think_v the_o lord_n jesus_n will_v leave_v so_o great_a a_o ordinance_n or_o sacrament_n of_o the_o new_a testament_n so_o obscure_a and_o dark_a in_o his_o sacred_a word_n have_v it_o be_v his_o mind_n that_o believer_n shall_v baptize_v their_o child_n since_o the_o apostle_n magnify_v christ_n faithfulness_n who_o be_v the_o son_n above_o that_o of_o moses_n who_o be_v but_o the_o servant_n and_o moses_n very_o be_v faithful_a in_o all_o his_o house_n as_o a_o servant_n for_o a_o testimony_n of_o those_o thing_n which_o of_o believer_n 5._o one_o say_v if_o either_o of_o their_o parent_n be_v believer_n they_o may_v be_v baptize_v some_o say_v both_o father_n and_o mother_n both_o must_v be_v godly_a person_n and_o in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n or_o else_o the_o child_n have_v no_o right_a to_o be_v baptize_v no_o marvel_n when_o man_n have_v lose_v their_o way_n they_o be_v thus_o lose_v in_o a_o wilderness_n that_o ordinancé_n god_n have_v make_v no_o promise_n to_o person_n in_o their_o obedience_n thereto_o viii_o nor_o denounce_v any_o threaten_v or_o punishment_n on_o such_o who_o
