and_o repentance_n bring_v we_o to_o the_o assurance_n of_o our_o election_n the_o conscience_n of_o our_o election_n or_o of_o the_o assurance_n thereof_o bring_v we_o not_o unto_o faith_n and_o repentance_n but_o it_o seem_v you_o desire_v to_o shape_v the_o promise_n of_o god_n in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o in_o the_o covenant_n of_o work_n in_o so_o different_a a_o manner_n that_o the_o one_o may_v seem_v to_o be_v absolute_a the_o other_o conditional_a whereas_o they_o be_v of_o the_o same_o nature_n in_o both_o and_o as_o god_n do_v withal_o intend_v to_o give_v the_o grace_n of_o obedience_n to_o the_o elect_n so_o do_v he_o as_o absolute_o intend_v to_o deny_v it_o to_o the_o other_o and_o i_o wonder_v you_o make_v not_o mention_v of_o the_o reprobate_n in_o the_o latter_a as_o of_o the_o elect_a in_o the_o former_a undoubted_o the_o covenant_n of_o work_n concern_v all_o to_o who_o it_o be_v preach_v as_o well_o the_o elect_n as_o the_o reprobate_n and_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n likewise_o concern_v all_o to_o who_o it_o be_v preach_v as_o well_o the_o reprobate_n as_o the_o elect._n to_o all_o it_o be_v preach_v whosoever_o believe_v shall_v be_v save_v as_o well_o to_o the_o reprobate_n as_o to_o the_o elect_a to_o all_o it_o be_v preach_v indifferent_o whosoever_o believe_v not_o shall_v be_v damn_v as_o well_o to_o the_o elect_n as_o to_o the_o reprobate_n only_o god_n show_v mercy_n on_o who_o he_o will_v in_o give_v the_o grace_n of_o faith_n and_o harden_v who_o he_o will_v in_o deny_v it_o god_n do_v covenant_n you_o say_v to_o give_v life_n to_o adam_n and_o all_o his_o posterity_n if_o they_o continue_v in_o obedience_n to_o his_o law_n this_o then_o undoubted_o concern_v the_o elect_n as_o well_o as_o the_o purpose_n in_o join_v adam_n and_o his_o posterity_n together_o as_o person_n covenant_v with_o by_o god_n and_o i_o imagine_v the_o reason_n of_o it_o to_o be_v this_o lest_o otherwise_o there_o can_v be_v no_o place_n for_o continuance_n in_o obedience_n require_v of_o all_o adam_n posterity_n for_o that_o presuppose_v they_o to_o be_v in_o the_o estate_n of_o obedience_n which_o be_v never_o verify_v of_o they_o all_o but_o as_o they_o be_v in_o adam_n and_o that_o in_o his_o state_n of_o innocency_n but_o why_o shall_v we_o please_v ourselves_o with_o such_o confusion_n let_v we_o consider_v they_o apart_o and_o say_v that_o god_n do_v covenant_n with_o adam_n that_o if_o he_o continue_v in_o obedience_n to_o his_o law_n or_o if_o break_v his_o law_n he_o do_v return_v again_o to_o he_o by_o repentance_n he_o shall_v have_v life_n but_o what_o evidence_n i_o pray_v have_v you_o for_o this_o namely_o that_o god_n make_v any_o such_o covenant_n with_o adam_n in_o the_o state_n of_o innocency_n who_o ever_o be_v find_v to_o entertain_v any_o such_o conceit_n before_o you_o why_o may_v not_o you_o as_o well_o devise_v the_o like_a covenant_n to_o be_v make_v though_o it_o hold_v of_o adam_n posterity_n as_o touch_v this_o part_n of_o turn_v unto_o god_n by_o repentance_n after_o sin_n commit_v yet_o of_o they_o it_o hold_v not_o as_o touch_v the_o other_o part_n of_o the_o condition_n to_o wit_n of_o continuance_n in_o obedience_n for_o the_o posterity_n of_o adam_n through_o his_o fall_n be_v quite_o out_o of_o the_o estate_n of_o obedience_n till_o god_n restore_v they_o nay_o god_n in_o this_o life_n never_o restore_v any_o to_o the_o estate_n of_o obedience_n which_o be_v find_v in_o adam_n before_o his_o fall_n out_o of_o this_o confusion_n you_o infer_v that_o sure_o the_o purpose_n of_o god_n just_a retribution_n be_v to_o give_v life_n to_o the_o world_n of_o mankind_n upon_o condition_n of_o their_o obedience_n or_o of_o their_o repentance_n as_o before_o we_o be_v trouble_v with_o confusion_n so_o here_o we_o be_v again_o trouble_v with_o a_o unhappy_a distinction_n for_o what_o do_v you_o mean_v to_o distinguish_v obedience_n from_o repentance_n as_o if_o repentance_n be_v not_o obedience_n do_v not_o god_n say_v as_o well_o unto_o we_o repent_v and_o believe_v the_o gospel_n as_o if_o you_o consent_v and_o obey_v you_o shall_v eat_v the_o 1._o good_a thing_n of_o the_o land_n be_v it_o fit_a to_o distinguish_v the_o genus_fw-la from_o the_o species_n so_o as_o to_o set_v one_o in_o opposition_n to_o
