his_o name_n and_o he_o consider_v that_o he_o can_v not_o have_v the_o ark_n with_o he_o but_o god_n name_v shall_v be_v dishonour_v and_o the_o church_n of_o god_n will_v find_v much_o prejudice_n with_o the_o loss_n of_o god_n ark_n and_o therefore_o rather_o than_o god_n shall_v be_v dishonour_v and_o the_o people_n discourage_v and_o prejudice_v by_o the_o want_n of_o it_o he_o will_v send_v it_o back_o again_o and_o be_v content_a to_o loose_v outward_a blessing_n his_o care_n be_v not_o so_o much_o about_o outward_a thing_n his_o chief_a care_n be_v if_o he_o may_v have_v have_v his_o wish_n that_o he_o may_v all_o his_o time_n dwell_v in_o the_o house_n of_o the_o lord_n psal_n 23.4_o and_o oh_o that_o he_o may_v be_v but_o a_o doorkeeper_n in_o this_o house_n rather_o than_o to_o rest_v in_o the_o tabernacle_n of_o wickedness_n but_o yet_o when_o he_o can_v not_o have_v this_o great_a blessing_n but_o with_o dishonour_n to_o god_n and_o prejudice_n to_o the_o church_n of_o god_n he_o rather_o lay_v down_o the_o comfort_n that_o he_o may_v have_v from_o god_n ordinance_n and_o the_o help_n he_o may_v have_v from_o they_o and_o those_o help_n be_v very_o great_a as_o pardon_v of_o sin_n and_o peace_n of_o conscience_n growth_n in_o grace_n subdue_a of_o lust_n and_o establishment_n of_o his_o heart_n in_o assurance_n of_o his_o election_n and_o vocation_n yet_o he_o be_v content_a to_o let_v they_o all_o go_v that_o he_o may_v have_v what_o he_o have_v without_o sin_n to_o himself_o and_o dishonour_n to_o god_n or_o wrong_v to_o the_o church_n and_o this_o be_v a_o notable_a sign_n of_o a_o man_n integrity_n and_o uprightness_n of_o heart_n he_o will_v not_o have_v any_o thing_n whereby_o god_n may_v have_v dishonour_n he_o will_v not_o have_v the_o ordinance_n with_o the_o church_n loss_n but_o rather_o sit_v out_o and_o shift_v for_o himself_o as_o well_o as_o he_o can_v and_o will_v adventure_v the_o loss_n of_o they_o all_o rather_o than_o he_o will_v stand_v to_o contend_v for_o they_o with_o the_o loss_n of_o christ_n himself_o and_o this_o kind_n of_o frame_n of_o spirit_n be_v in_o moses_n he_o entreat_v god_n that_o he_o will_v not_o destroy_v the_o israelite_n in_o the_o wilderness_n lest_o his_o name_n shall_v be_v dishonour_v but_o rather_o blot_v his_o name_n out_o of_o the_o book_n of_o life_n than_o cut_v they_o all_o off_o exod._n 32.32_o such_o be_v the_o uprightness_n of_o the_o frame_n of_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o child_n of_o god_n that_o he_o desire_v not_o spiritual_a blessing_n single_o for_o himself_o not_o for_o the_o peace_n of_o his_o own_o conscience_n nor_o for_o the_o subdue_a of_o his_o lust_n nor_o for_o the_o strengthen_n of_o his_o grace_n further_o than_o may_v stand_v with_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o above_o all_o thing_n else_o he_o seek_v the_o honour_n of_o god_n the_o come_n of_o his_o kingdom_n and_o the_o do_v of_o his_o will_n and_o if_o these_o concur_v not_o in_o his_o way_n he_o will_v rather_o loose_v they_o than_o dishonour_n christ_n by_o have_v of_o they_o he_o have_v a_o singleness_n of_o heart_n in_o seek_v spiritual_a blessing_n he_o seek_v they_o not_o she_o towards_o he_o she_o be_v content_a to_o have_v he_o though_o she_o have_v nothing_o else_o but_o his_o person_n so_o if_o our_o heart_n be_v true_o set_v upon_o christ_n we_o be_v content_a we_o do_v not_o so_o much_o as_o desire_v the_o very_a benefit_n of_o christ_n which_o yet_o a_o man_n may_v desire_v and_o loose_v all_o too_o and_o when_o a_o man_n have_v not_o so_o much_o as_o a_o affection_n to_o the_o thing_n of_o christ_n it_o be_v very_o dangerous_a but_o second_o when_o a_o man_n be_v in_o this_o case_n that_o there_o be_v a_o desire_n in_o a_o man_n after_o the_o benefit_n of_o christ_n more_o than_o after_o christ_n himself_o all_o this_o while_o you_o want_v that_o sincerity_n upon_o which_o christ_n will_v give_v we_o a_o comfortable_a meeting_n and_o speak_v peace_n to_o our_o soul_n we_o be_v not_o yet_o come_v to_o that_o condition_n as_o in_o which_o he_o will_v say_v my_o well-beloved_n thou_o be_v all_o fair_a and_o there_o be_v no_o spot_n in_o thou_o he_o yet_o see_v not_o a_o true_a conjugal_a affection_n in_o we_o towards_o he_o so_o as_o that_o though_o we_o shall_v never_o find_v grace_n nor_o glory_n by_o he_o yet_o he_o be_v the_o chief_a desire_n of_o our_o soul_n suppose_v a_o woman_n shall_v see_v a_o man_n that_o have_v a_o desire_n after_o she_o but_o he_o chief_o aim_v at_o her_o estate_n to_o provide_v for_o we_o have_v oh_o pardon_v of_o sin_n and_o peace_n of_o conscience_n and_o power_n of_o grace_n to_o be_v but_o as_o other_o christian_n be_v that_o we_o can_v pray_v and_o believe_v as_o they_o do_v and_o find_v such_o comfort_n as_o they_o have_v and_o this_o be_v the_o thing_n that_o the_o soul_n be_v chief_o set_v upon_o now_o all_o this_o while_n that_o we_o come_v thus_o to_o christ_n we_o must_v not_o think_v that_o christ_n be_v to_o blame_v if_o he_o tarry_v a_o little_a long_o than_o we_o expect_v for_o we_o may_v seek_v he_o and_o not_o find_v he_o because_o we_o seek_v not_o so_o much_o he_o as_o his_o benefit_n and_o the_o rich_a treasure_n of_o grace_n and_o mercy_n and_o peace_n that_o be_v lay_v up_o in_o he_o without_o measure_n the_o great_a part_n of_o the_o world_n do_v not_o love_v their_o soul_n nor_o the_o lord_n jesus_n so_o well_o as_o to_o love_v he_o for_o his_o grace_n and_o goodness_n sake_n but_o yet_o among_o better_a man_n there_o be_v a_o world_n affection_n may_v spring_v from_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n yet_o you_o shall_v ever_o find_v such_o soul_n to_o detain_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n in_o unrighteousness_n and_o out_o of_o self_n love_n use_v they_o all_o to_o their_o own_o end_n and_o look_v not_o that_o god_n may_v be_v glorify_v in_o and_o by_o they_o nor_o that_o his_o will_v be_v do_v but_o oh_o that_o the_o soul_n may_v have_v judgement_n or_o discern_v a_o man_n have_v of_o a_o certain_a thing_n if_o a_o man_n ask_v you_o whether_o he_o know_v if_o such_o a_o man_n have_v possession_n of_o such_o a_o place_n and_o he_o say_v first_o yes_o and_o afterward_o say_v he_o conjecture_n so_o his_o knowledge_n be_v no_o knowledge_n it_o be_v a_o false_a intelligence_n if_o you_o ask_v a_o man_n if_o he_o know_v whether_o such_o a_o man_n have_v such_o a_o portion_n of_o such_o a_o value_n and_o he_o say_v he_o have_v he_o conjecture_n so_o it_o be_v no_o knowledge_n but_o if_o he_o know_v it_o than_o he_o speak_v of_o
