expiate_v for_o the_o sin_n of_o man_n there_o be_v more_o internal_a virtue_n and_o efficacy_n in_o the_o death_n of_o a_o innocent_a beast_n than_o of_o a_o sinful_a man_n because_o the_o latter_a can_v expiate_v only_o for_o his_o own_o sin_n whereas_o the_o former_a can_v have_v no_o sin_n but_o that_o of_o other_o to_o expiate_v since_o therefore_o man_n be_v all_o spot_a and_o blemish_v with_o sin_n there_o be_v no_o life_n so_o fit_a for_o they_o to_o offer_v to_o god_n in_o commutation_n for_o their_o forfeit_a life_n as_o that_o of_o innocent_a brute_n so_o that_o the_o best_a commutation_n they_o can_v make_v be_v infinite_o short_a of_o their_o demerit_n and_o suppose_v that_o the_o man_n which_o the_o heathen_a offer_v have_v be_v all_o pure_a and_o innocent_a yet_o their_o life_n will_v have_v be_v only_o a_o equivalent_a commutation_n for_o the_o forfeit_a life_n of_o a_o equal_a number_n of_o sinner_n unless_o therefore_o one_o half_a of_o mankind_n have_v be_v innocent_a and_o they_o have_v be_v sacrifice_v for_o the_o other_o half_o that_o be_v guilty_a it_o have_v not_o be_v a_o equal_a commutation_n so_o much_o as_o for_o the_o temporal_a
