union_n there_o can_v be_v no_o communication_n of_o the_o love_n of_o god_n unto_o their_o soul_n there_o may_v be_v influence_n of_o god_n into_o soul_n without_o union_n but_o no_o influence_n of_o love_n without_o union_n and_o that_o in_o two_o respect_n 1._o in_o regard_v the_o displeasure_n of_o justice_n be_v only_o remove_v through_o the_o union_n of_o soul_n with_o christ_n and_o before_o offend_v justice_n be_v appease_v there_o can_v be_v nothing_o but_o wrath_n in_o the_o bosom_n of_o god_n against_o soul_n 2._o in_o regard_v the_o adoption_n be_v only_o purchase_v by_o the_o lord_n be_v convey_v into_o the_o soul_n 4._o without_o this_o union_n there_o can_v be_v no_o full_a communication_n of_o the_o lord_n unto_o soul_n though_o indeed_o the_o lord_n may_v glorify_v himself_o in_o communicate_v some_o degree_n of_o his_o excellency_n in_o some_o way_n as_o make_v himself_o glorious_a in_o justice_n and_o though_o outward_a mercy_n be_v communicate_v by_o the_o influence_n that_o which_o be_v to_o come_v and_o though_o he_o have_v tie_v his_o own_o sufficiency_n to_o supply_v they_o yet_o not_o so_o as_o it_o admit_v of_o no_o limitation_n but_o these_o two_o come_v in_o the_o lord_n glory_n and_o his_o people_n own_o good_a and_o likewise_o in_o dispense_n all_o blessing_n privative_o that_o be_v the_o free_v the_o soul_n from_o all_o temporal_a evil_n from_o affliction_n distress_n and_o burden_n this_o freedom_n be_v promise_v in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n yet_o it_o admit_v of_o this_o limitation_n so_o far_o as_o it_o may_v concern_v the_o lord_n glory_n so_o that_o so_o far_o as_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n be_v advance_v in_o his_o people_n groan_v under_o burden_n and_o suffering_n for_o a_o time_n the_o covenant_n be_v nevertheless_o fulfil_v 2._o the_o promise_n of_o god_n give_v the_o common_a gift_n of_o the_o spirit_n god_n be_v not_o bind_v to_o they_o in_o the_o covenant_n without_o limitation_n therefore_o in_o 1_o cor._n the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n but_o it_o be_v in_o this_o sense_n but_o a_o conditional_a promise_n a_o limit_a promise_n so_o far_o as_o may_v be_v for_o the_o lord_n own_o honour_n the_o soul_n shall_v be_v free_a from_o temptation_n yet_o now_o though_o in_o this_o sense_n under_o all_o these_o three_o head_n there_o be_v continual_a promise_n yet_o that_o which_o be_v absolute_o necessary_a for_o the_o soul_n can_v be_v say_v to_o come_v under_o any_o of_o these_o limitation_n life_n and_o salvation_n and_o everlasting_a communion_n with_o the_o glorious_a trinity_n and_o with_o the_o glorious_a saint_n and_o angel_n be_v so_o absolute_o promise_v as_o they_o come_v not_o under_o these_o limitation_n but_o that_o which_o be_v absolute_o necessary_a for_o the_o soul_n the_o lord_n have_v bind_v himself_o absolute_o to_o convey_v to_o the_o soul_n yet_o these_o limit_a promise_n can_v proper_o be_v call_v conditional_a but_o be_v absolute_a in_o themselves_o as_o will_v appear_v in_o three_o particular_n 1._o these_o limit_a promise_n thus_o bound_v be_v not_o leave_v in_o the_o limitation_n of_o they_o unto_o the_o person_n to_o who_o they_o be_v make_v so_o other_o promise_n of_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n so_o that_o you_o see_v there_o be_v no_o promise_n belong_v to_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n but_o what_o be_v mere_o grace_n no_o condition_n may_v come_v in_o to_o challenge_v any_o thing_n in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n prem_n 3._o three_o i_o must_v premise_v that_o all_o those_o promise_n that_o seem_v to_o be_v make_v to_o
