feel_v how_o joyful_a this_o day_n be_v but_o we_o the_o child_n of_o eve_n stranger_n and_o exile_n here_o on_o earth_n do_v lament_v and_o bewail_v the_o bitter_a tediousness_n of_o this_o present_a life_n short_a and_o evil_a full_a of_o sorrow_n and_o anguish_n where_o man_n be_v oftentimes_o defile_v with_o sin_n disquiet_v with_o trouble_n oppress_v with_o care_n busy_v with_o vanity_n blind_v with_o error_n overcharge_v with_o labour_n vex_v with_o tentation_n overcome_v with_o vain_a delight_n and_o pleasure_n of_o the_o world_n &_o miserable_o wrap_v in_o many_o kind_n of_o calamity_n wherefore_o oh_o lord_n arise_v and_o help_v i_o comfort_v my_o exile_n assuage_v my_o sorrow_n destroy_v the_o power_n of_o my_o enemy_n the_o kingdom_n of_o sin_n satan_n the_o world_n and_o my_o wicked_a flesh_n which_o always_o make_v battle_n against_o i_o and_o bring_v these_o conflict_a day_n to_o a_o end_n so_o shall_v i_o sing_v praise_n unto_o thou_o oh_o god_n of_o my_o his_o word_n and_o a_o life_n agreeable_a to_o the_o same_o grant_v unto_o we_o oh_o merciful_a god_n we_o most_o hearty_o beseech_v thou_o knowledge_n and_o true_a understanding_n of_o thy_o bless_a will_n and_o word_n that_o all_o ignorance_n be_v expel_v we_o may_v know_v what_o thy_o will_n and_o pleasure_n be_v in_o all_o thing_n and_o how_o to_o do_v our_o duty_n and_o true_o to_o walk_v astonish_v and_o flee_v from_o god_n if_o we_o doubt_v whether_o god_n have_v respect_n to_o our_o prayer_n groan_n and_o tear_n we_o must_v set_v before_o our_o eye_n how_o that_o we_o be_v command_v though_o we_o be_v never_o so_o unworthy_a and_o our_o sin_n never_o so_o many_o and_o great_a to_o pray_v for_o reconciliation_n god_n favour_n and_o forgiveness_n of_o our_o sin_n for_o else_o whereas_o god_n command_v we_o to_o abstain_v from_o theft_n murder_n whoredom_n etc_n etc_n we_o may_v in_o like_a sort_n excuse_v ourselves_o and_o say_v that_o we_o be_v unworthy_a to_o obey_v god_n commandment_n great_a be_v our_o iniquity_n and_o manifest_a be_v our_o contempt_n and_o despise_v of_o god_n when_o we_o neglect_v &_o delay_n to_o call_v for_o his_o help_n such_o as_o flee_v unto_o god_n therefore_o &_o call_v upon_o he_o in_o their_o necessity_n obey_v his_o will_n &_o find_v therein_o no_o small_a consolation_n know_v that_o thereby_o they_o do_v unto_o he_o most_o sufficient_a to_o provoke_v we_o to_o fervent_a and_o hearty_a prayer_n yet_o there_o be_v certain_a other_o notable_a and_o most_o comfortable_a promise_n which_o we_o shall_v special_o have_v in_o remembrance_n 11._o as_o these_o if_o you_o which_o be_v evil_a can_v give_v good_a gift_n to_o your_o child_n how_o much_o more_o shall_v your_o heavenly_a father_n give_v the_o holy_a ghost_n to_o they_o that_o desire_v he_o 2_o consider_v the_o old_a generation_n â–ª_o and_o mark_v they_o well_o be_v there_o ever_o any_o confound_v that_o put_v his_o trust_n in_o the_o lord_n or_o who_o have_v continue_v in_o his_o fear_n and_o be_v forsake_v or_o who_o do_v he_o ever_o despise_v that_o call_v upon_o he_o and_o of_o all_o other_o that_o be_v the_o most_o notable_a which_o by_o the_o prophet_n joel_n be_v add_v immediate_o after_o the_o prophecy_n of_o that_o horrible_a destruction_n that_o be_v at_o hand_n say_v whosoever_o shall_v call_v upon_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n shall_v be_v save_v here_o let_v we_o consider_v the_o order_n of_o the_o promise_n which_o pertain_v either_o outward_o to_o the_o body_n or_o inward_o to_o the_o soul._n which_o part_n the_o soul_n
