conscience_n witness_v unto_o we_o that_o from_o henceforth_o be_v lay_v up_o for_o i_o the_o crown_n of_o righteousness_n and_o if_o our_o conscience_n and_o the_o good_a spirit_n of_o god_n can_v foul_a and_o after_o a_o calm_a a_o tempest_n and_o so_o misery_n in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v shall_v follow_v earthly_a delight_n and_o this_o our_o transitory_a worldly_a happiness_n if_o so_o great_a hire_n as_o be_v god_n own_o glory_n can_v allure_v we_o brutish_a and_o senseless_a must_v then_o our_o nature_n needs_o be_v what_o a_o great_a argument_n and_o proof_n can_v we_o have_v of_o our_o blockishness_n then_o that_o so_o great_a thing_n can_v get_v no_o more_o attendance_n of_o we_o the_o truth_n be_v that_o we_o be_v too_o much_o persuade_v of_o the_o excellency_n of_o these_o worldly_a matter_n as_o pleasure_n honour_n riches_n and_o such_o like_a and_o therefore_o in_o all_o place_n that_o be_v allege_v and_o which_o speak_v of_o the_o wait_a for_o of_o christ_n his_o come_n there_o the_o benefit_n be_v set_v forth_o with_o it_o and_o the_o greatness_n thereof_o remember_v which_o point_v at_o our_o darkness_n and_o unbelief_n herein_o and_o tell_v we_o and_o become_v studious_a of_o such_o a_o estate_n of_o life_n and_o such_o be_v they_o which_o declare_v themselves_o to_o be_v the_o peculiar_a people_n for_o who_o the_o lord_n lay_v out_o his_o life_n as_o for_o those_o who_o walk_v so_o indifferent_o between_o true_a religion_n and_o false_a that_o a_o man_n can_v discern_v whether_o they_o be_v more_o incline_v unto_o as_o also_o those_o that_o walk_v so_o even_o between_o a_o evil_a life_n and_o a_o christian-like_a behaviour_n that_o the_o difference_n be_v not_o easy_o perceive_v they_o do_v declare_v themselves_o as_o yet_o not_o to_o be_v affect_v in_o desire_n towards_o those_o duty_n which_o the_o lord_n have_v lay_v upon_o his_o people_n to_o perform_v now_o where_o this_o purchase_n of_o he_o have_v take_v place_n and_o effect_n they_o be_v become_v a_o peculiar_a people_n zealous_a of_o good_a work_n and_o if_o cold_a and_o lukewarm_a christian_n may_v have_v but_o little_a comfort_n from_o the_o death_n of_o in_o favour_n and_o credit_n among_o man_n spend_v as_o much_o time_n as_o remain_v in_o this_o life_n not_o after_o the_o lust_n of_o the_o flesh_n or_o the_o vanity_n of_o the_o world_n or_o after_o the_o temptation_n of_o the_o devil_n but_o after_o the_o will_n of_o god_n know_v this_o that_o if_o we_o live_v after_o the_o flesh_n we_o shall_v die_v but_o if_o we_o mortify_v the_o deed_n of_o the_o body_n by_o the_o spirit_n we_o shall_v live_v and_o what_o though_o some_o shall_v mock_v at_o we_o for_o our_o reform_a life_n and_o godly_a and_o holy_a conversation_n for_o the_o devil_n whereof_o may_v appear_v by_o the_o contrary_a in_o the_o wicked_a for_o where_o the_o want_n of_o a_o good_a conscience_n be_v there_o be_v neither_o joy_n nor_o comfort_n but_o fear_v and_o sorrow_n as_o we_o read_v prou._n 15._o 13._o a_o joyful_a heart_n make_v a_o cheerful_a countenance_n but_o by_o the_o sorrow_n of_o the_o heart_n the_o mind_n be_v heavy_a and_o job._n 11._o 20._o the_o uncertain_a how_o long_o he_o shall_v play_v the_o tyrant_n the_o sound_n of_o terror_n and_o fear_n be_v always_o in_o his_o ear_n and_o although_o it_o be_v in_o time_n of_o peace_n yet_o he_o always_o suspect_v some_o treason_n against_o he_o expect_v on_o every_o side_n the_o sword_n to_o come_v upon_o he_o when_o he_o sit_v down_o to_o eat_v he_o remember_v that_o the_o day_n of_o darkness_n be_v ready_a at_o hand_n for_o he_o tribulation_n terrifi_v he_o and_o anguish_n enuiron_v he_o even_o as_o a_o king_n be_v environ_v with_o soldier_n when_o he_o go_v to_o war_n what_o can_v be_v more_o miserable_a than_o that_o man_n that_o have_v such_o a_o butchery_n and_o slaughter-house_n within_o his_o own_o heart_n what_o be_v his_o fearee_o how_o great_a be_v his_o anguish_n the_o dead_a be_v judge_v of_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v write_v in_o those_o book_n according_a to_o their_o work_n now_o therefore_o it_o appear_v that_o one_o of_o the_o chief_a joy_n of_o the_o godly_a be_v the_o testimony_n of_o a_o good_a conscience_n which_o be_v only_o proper_a to_o the_o godly_a and_o unto_o the_o which_o the_o wicked_a can_v in_o no_o sort_n attain_v without_o the_o which_o there_o be_v nothing_o but_o the_o fear_n of_o death_n and_o damnation_n wherefore_o let_v every_o one_o have_v care_n to_o make_v a_o good_a conscience_n his_o only_a joy_n and_o let_v all_o
