only_o in_o the_o face_n of_o jesus_n christ_n for_o take_v any_o other_o sight_n of_o god_n take_v the_o corporeal_a sight_n the_o see_v of_o the_o man_n christ_n that_o the_o wicked_a may_v do_v as_o well_o as_o the_o saint_n or_o take_v the_o sight_n of_o god_n in_o the_o creature_n in_o his_o providence_n or_o the_o like_a carnal_a man_n so_o see_v the_o thing_n of_o god_n as_o the_o saint_n do_v though_o not_o altogether_o so_o well_o yet_o that_o be_v no_o peculiar_a thing_n but_o this_o sight_n of_o god_n that_o i_o speak_v of_o it_o be_v only_o in_o the_o face_n of_o jesus_n christ_n as_o it_o be_v in_o 2_o cor._n 4._o 4._o 6._o in_o who_o the_o god_n of_o this_o world_n have_v blind_v the_o mind_n of_o they_o that_o believe_v not_o lest_o the_o light_n of_o the_o glorious_a gospel_n of_o christ_n who_o be_v the_o image_n of_o god_n shall_v shine_v unto_o they_o for_o god_n who_o command_v light_a to_o shine_v out_o of_o god_n christ_n the_o face_n of_o god_n darkness_n have_v shine_v in_o our_o heart_n to_o give_v we_o the_o light_n of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n in_o the_o face_n of_o jesus_n christ_n jesus_n christ_n be_v the_o face_n of_o god_n god_n show_v himself_o various_o then_o three_o god_n do_v show_v himself_o to_o his_o child_n by_o various_a manifestation_n my_o meaning_n be_v this_o god_n do_v not_o always_o show_v himself_o in_o the_o same_o manner_n and_o fashion_n to_o his_o child_n god_n as_o it_o be_v come_v in_o a_o new_a dress_n every_o day_n to_o the_o soul_n of_o his_o child_n all_o the_o day_n of_o his_o life_n in_o this_o world_n and_o for_o aught_o he_o know_v for_o ever_o in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v as_o it_o be_v unspeakable_a to_o say_v how_o god_n appear_v to_o the_o soul_n of_o a_o saint_n so_o the_o manifestation_n be_v innumerable_a the_o strange_a way_n that_o god_n come_v to_o the_o soul_n he_o show_v himself_o to_o day_n this_o way_n to_o morrow_n after_o another_o and_o the_o three_o day_n other_o doctrine_n so_o much_o concern_v the_o manner_n how_o god_n reveal_v himself_o to_o his_o child_n i_o shall_v now_o come_v to_o the_o use_v of_o this_o and_o then_o way_n will_v be_v make_v for_o the_o other_o point_n to_o show_v how_o this_o sight_n of_o god_n do_v true_o &_o kind_o and_o save_o humble_v we_o for_o the_o use_n of_o this_o first_o this_o show_v the_o happy_a estate_n world_n use_v 1._o the_o happy_a estate_n of_o a_o saint_n in_o this_o world_n of_o a_o saint_n in_o this_o world_n that_o he_o have_v as_o it_o be_v a_o heaven_n upon_o earth_n because_o he_o see_v god_n if_o thou_o will_v consider_v serious_o that_o there_o be_v such_o a_o glorious_a privilege_n as_o this_o thou_o will_v say_v bless_a be_v the_o man_n that_o have_v it_o and_o curse_a and_o unhappy_a be_v the_o man_n that_o have_v it_o not_o it_o be_v our_o saviour_n word_n in_o the_o begin_n of_o his_o sermon_n math._n 5._o bless_a be_v the_o pure_a in_o heart_n for_o they_o shall_v see_v god_n now_o purity_n of_o heart_n be_v not_o the_o blessing_n proper_o but_o the_o see_v of_o god_n he_o that_o be_v pure_a in_o heart_n be_v a_o bless_a man_n say_v christ_n for_o he_o shall_v poor_a man_n a_o plundered_a man_n a_o persecute_a man_n or_o a_o sick_a man_n or_o woman_n be_v it_o what_o it_o will_v if_o thou_o can_v see_v god_n in_o the_o face_n of_o jesus_n christ_n if_o thou_o will_v believe_v christ_n who_o be_v the_o truth_n thou_o be_v a_o bless_a man_n a_o bless_a woman_n suppose_v a_o man_n be_v sick_a and_o shall_v never_o see_v health_n suppose_v he_o be_v weak_a and_o shall_v never_o see_v strength_n suppose_v he_o be_v poor_a and_o shall_v never_o see_v wealth_n suppose_v he_o be_v banish_v and_o shall_v never_o see_v his_o country_n or_o his_o friend_n nay_o suppose_v a_o man_n be_v stark_o blind_a and_o shall_v never_o see_v the_o natural_a sun_n yet_o if_o he_o have_v a_o pure_a heart_n he_o shall_v see_v god_n and_o if_o thou_o will_v believe_v christ_n jesus_n thou_o be_v a_o bless_a man_n or_o woman_n all_o the_o blessedness_n in_o this_o world_n put_v together_o all_o that_o mankind_n ever_o enjoy_v from_o the_o creation_n be_v not_o worthy_a to_o be_v compare_v with_o one_o glance_n of_o that_o sight_n that_o a_o saint_n have_v thousand_o of_o in_o his_o life_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n in_o jesus_n christ_n we_o be_v wont_v to_o say_v that_o there_o be_v this_o difference_n life_n the_o beatifical_a vision_n in_o this_o life_n and_o only_o this_o difference_n between_o heaven_n and_o earth_n that_o glory_n differ_v from_o grace_n but_o only_o in_o degree_n that_o glory_n and_o grace_n be_v the_o same_o and_o that_o glory_n be_v the_o perfection_n of_o grace_n that_o be_v very_o true_a i_o deny_v it_o not_o for_o we_o shall_v be_v clothe_v upon_o with_o glory_n but_o some_o conceive_v that_o the_o beatifical_a vision_n that_o bless_a sight_n be_v not_o in_o this_o world_n we_o shall_v not_o have_v it_o till_o we_o come_v to_o heaven_n it_o be_v true_a we_o shall_v not_o full_o and_o perfect_o but_o it_o be_v not_o true_a any_o otherwise_o then_o as_o the_o part_n differ_v from_o the_o whole_a for_o here_o even_o in_o this_o world_n a_o saint_n in_o some_o measure_n have_v it_o he_o see_v god_n as_o true_o and_o right_o as_o ever_o he_o shall_v hereafter_o in_o heaven_n therefore_o you_o may_v see_v what_o it_o be_v to_o be_v a_o saint_n if_o god_n shall_v take_v a_o poor_a drunkard_n or_o swearer_n and_o but_o show_v his_o soul_n as_o it_o be_v through_o his_o finger_n or_o through_o a_o gold_n ring_n one_o glance_n of_o this_o sight_n he_o will_v never_o be_v a_o drunkard_n or_o swearer_n he_o will_v never_o be_v a_o railer_n and_o live_v as_o a_o sot_n again_o all_o the_o day_n of_o his_o life_n no_o it_o be_v a_o glorious_a condition_n that_o a_o saint_n be_v in_o therefore_o meet_v god_n and_o labour_n to_o know_v his_o glory_n in_o christ_n and_o for_o shame_n be_v not_o discourage_v for_o every_o trifle_n in_o the_o world_n when_o you_o hear_v that_o wicked_a man_n prosper_v that_o they_o have_v wealth_n and_o they_o see_v their_o child_n before_o their_o eye_n and_o their_o bull_n gender_v and_o their_o cow_n calve_v as_o it_o be_v in_o job_n envy_v not_o their_o quality_n one_o glance_n of_o this_o bless_a sight_n be_v worth_a more_o than_o all_o that_o ever_o world_n without_o end_n and_o if_o this_o be_v the_o privilege_n and_o blessedness_n of_o a_o st._n man_n the_o misery_n of_o wicked_a man_n to_o see_v god_n then_o see_v also_o what_o a_o miserable_a condition_n thou_o be_v in_o that_o be_v a_o poor_a carnal_a man_n that_o though_o it_o may_v be_v thou_o see_v thy_o wealth_n increase_v and_o thy_o child_n play_v in_o the_o street_n yet_o thou_o never_o see_v god_n thou_o never_o have_v one_o glimpse_n of_o this_o glorious_a privilege_n that_o i_o now_o speak_v of_o therefore_o as_o it_o be_v the_o chief_a thing_n in_o heaven_n to_o see_v god_n so_o doubtless_o it_o must_v be_v the_o chief_a thing_n in_o hell_n to_o be_v throw_v away_o from_o god_n presence_n not_o to_o see_v god_n therefore_o in_o 2_o thess_n 1._o it_o be_v say_v that_o wicked_a people_n shall_v be_v punish_v from_o his_o presence_n that_o be_v the_o main_a thing_n in_o hell_n to_o be_v throw_v from_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n never_o to_o see_v his_o face_n more_o so_o a_o carnal_a man_n have_v a_o hell_n upon_o earth_n thou_o that_o be_v not_o a_o new_a creature_n thou_o be_v in_o hell_n as_o it_o be_v already_o because_o the_o main_a thing_n to_o be_v have_v in_o this_o world_n and_o in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v thou_o do_v whole_o want_v that_o be_v the_o first_o thing_n second_o if_o this_o be_v so_o that_o there_o be_v such_o a_o glorious_a saint_n use_v 2._o the_o fight_n of_o god_n shall_v humble_v saint_n prerogative_n of_o the_o saint_n to_o see_v god_n then_o this_o above_o all_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n shall_v most_o humble_v thy_o soul_n for_o thy_o sin_n as_o hereafter_o i_o shall_v show_v more_o full_o this_o shall_v move_v thou_o to_o mourn_v for_o thy_o sin_n why_o so_o you_o all_o know_v it_o be_v not_o proper_o at_o of_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n and_o then_o to_o think_v that_o i_o shall_v be_v such_o a_o wretch_n as_o to_o abuse_v his_o goodness_n to_o grieve_v and_o provoke_v he_o that_o be_v my_o father_n and_o to_o crucify_v he_o again_o and_o again_o that_o be_v my_o saviour_n mercy_n even_o common_a mercy_n saint_n common_a mercy_n abuse_v humble_a a_o saint_n melt_v the_o heart_n when_o a_o man_n consider_v i_o be_v the_o other_o day_n sick_a and_o god_n restore_v i_o and_o that_o i_o shall_v be_v such_o a_o wretch_n since_o this_o grate_v upon_o the_o heart_n as_o in_o 2_o sam._n 12._o 7_o a_o hour_n if_o it_o be_v but_o in_o a_o bush_n or_o in_o a_o garret_n i_o be_o satisfy_v i_o desire_v no_o more_o if_o this_o may_v but_o continue_v as_o a_o man_n prize_v this_o more_o than_o any_o thing_n in_o this_o world_n so_o if_o a_o man_n do_v but_o consider_v that_o i_o shall_v be_v so_o base_a as_o to_o anger_v that_o god_n that_o bestow_v this_o as_o i_o do_v when_o i_o sin_n and_o have_v knowledge_n enough_o to_o know_v it_o to_o be_v sin_n when_o i_o look_v through_o the_o door_n and_o know_v it_o be_v a_o thief_n and_o may_v keep_v he_o out_o yet_o that_o i_o shall_v be_v so_o proud_a and_o so_o vain_a and_o so_o idle_a that_o i_o shall_v let_v go_v so_o many_o glorious_a opportunity_n in_o such_o and_o such_o place_n and_o time_n o_o this_o be_v that_o that_o
