CIII O Thou my Soul most thankfully go to and blesse the LORD All that 's in me his holy Name now blesse with one accord verse 2 Blesse GOD my Soul and not forget his benefits not small verse 3 Who all thy sins forgives who al 's heals thy diseases all verse 4 Who from destruction doth redeem thy life sore pressed down Who doth with loving kindnesse thee and tender mercies crown verse 5 Who fully with good things also doth satisfie thy mouth So that ev'n like the Eagles still renewed is thy youth verse 6 The mighty Lord doth execute ev'n righteousnesse most rare And judgement also for all those that heer oppressed are verse 7 He to his servant Moses made his wayes most clearly known And unto Israels children al 's his valiant acts were shown verse 8 Both mercifull and gracious still the Lord delights to be To anger slow most plenteous al 's in mercy still is he verse 9 He though for sin he whiles us check yet will not alwayes chide Nor yet will he his anger keep for ever to abide verse 10 He not according to our sins hath dealt with us in wrath Nor after our iniquities he us rewarded hath verse 11 For as the heaven very high above the earth is set So toward them that doe him fear his mercy still is great verse 12 As far as th' East is from the West so far by his great love From us he our transgressions all in mercy doth remove verse 13 Like as a father tenderly his children pities heer So likewise the Lord pities them that truely do him fear verse 14 For he that made us all doth know our frame most perfectly He also doth remember well that but frail dust we be verse 15 As for man heer his dayes are as the grasse in ev'ry case As of the field a flower ev'n so he flourisheth a space verse 16 For over it the winde doth passe and it is gone therefore And after that the place thereof shall know it then no more verse 17 But GODS mercy for ever lasts upon them that him fear His righteousnesse doth also reach to childrens children heer verse 18 To such as still his cov'nant keep and also those unto That his commandments every one remember well to do verse 19 The Lord up in the heav'ns above prepared hath his throne And his most glorious kingdome still rules over all alone verse 20 Ye angels that excell in strength most gladly blesse the Lord Who do his precepts hearkning well to the voice of his word verse 21 Blesse chearfully the Lord all ye his hosts that do excell Ye Ministers of all his coasts that do his pleasure well verse 22 Now blesse the Lord all yee he his works and that with one accord Of his dominion in each place O my soul blesse the Lord PSAL. CXXXVIII WIth my whole heart most thankfully thee always praise I wil Before the gods I will also sing praise unto thee still verse 2 Thy holy Temple towards I to worship now will go And for thy kindnes praise thy Name and for thy truth also For thou who ever art most true and stedfast in thy love Hast highly magnifi'd thy word even all thy Name above verse 3 When in the day of troubles I did cry thou answer'dst me And also with strength in my soul thou didst well strengthen me verse 4 The kings all of the earth below shall then of thee praise O LORD When they of thy most blessed mouth shall hear the lively word verse 5 Yea in the wayes they of the Lord shall alwayes surely sing For great indeed the glory is of the Lord GOD our King verse 6 Though God by high yet stil he hath to humble men and low A great respect as for the proud a farre he them doth know verse 7 Though I in midst of trouble walk I from thee life shall have Gainst my foes wrath thou'lt stretch thâ— hand thy right hand shall me save verse 8 GOD will perfite what me concerns for ay thy mercy stands O LORD in wrath forsake not now the works of thine own hands PSAL. CXXXIX O Lord by thy alsearching sprit thou hast now searched me And thou to whom nothing is hid hast known me perfectlie verse 2 My sitting down and rising up thou knows well what they are Thou also well dost understand my secret thoughts a farre verse 3 My path and al 's my lying down thou compassest alwayes And perfectly acquainted art with all my works and wayes verse 4 For in my tongue while I do speak ther 's surely not a word But lo it altogether is well known to thee O LORD verse 5 Thou in great wrath hast me beset behinde and al 's before And thou hast laid thy heavy hand upon me troubled sore verse 6 Such knowledge is too wonderfull to me where I remaine It surely is so high that I to it cannot attaine verse 7 O whether from thy sprit shall I go there hid for to be Or whether for to save me from thy presence shall I flie verse 8 If I ascend up into heaven thou there art as elsewhere If I do make my bed in hell behold thou al 's art there verse 9 If of the morning I the wings take for my self to hide And dwell even in the utmost parts that lie the sea beside verse 10 Even notwithstanding shal thy haâ—â— there lead me at the last And thy right hand that 's ful of streÌ„gtâ— shall hold me ever fast verse 11 If I thus say the darknesse black shall surely cover me The night that seems to be most darâ— shall light about me be verse 12 Yea darknes hideth not from theâ— but night doth shine as day The darknesse and the light are both alike to thee alway verse 13 For surely thou possessed hast my reins most secretlie Thou likewise in my mothers womb hast safely cov'red me verse 14 I will thee praise for fearfully and strangely made I am Thy works are marv'lous and my â— right well doth know the same verse 15 My substance when in secret I was made was known to thee And in the lowest parts of earth was wrought most curiouslie verse 16 Thine eyes did see my substance all while it was unperfite And in thy sacred book thou didst even all my members write Which in continuance by thine hand were fashion'd great and small When as yet there was none of them that being had at all verse 17 How precious also are O GOD to me thy thoughts so rare I How great is the most numbrous sum of them who can declare verse 18 If I should count then the sand they moe in number be And whensoever I awake lo I am still with thee verse 19 O GOD thou wilt them surely slay that wicked be in heart Therefore ye bloody men away now far from me depart verse 20 For they against thee wickedly do speak as men profane Thy foes al 's with blasphemous mouthâ— do take thy Name in vain verse 21 O LORD do I not hate them all that thee hate and despise And am I not al 's griev'd with those that up against thee rise verse 22 With perfect hatred I them hate and count them still my foes verse 23 Search me know my heart me 〈◊〉 my thoughts know and disclose verse 24 And see if any wicked way at all there in me be And in the everlasting way for ever lead thou me PSAL.
