to_o be_v rest_v upon_o see_v they_o may_v be_v true_a or_o false_a answ_n i_o answer_v spiritual_a exprience_n for_o such_o he_o especial_o instance_v in_o as_o true_a and_o false_o in_o his_o sense_n here_o must_v of_o necessity_n be_v mean_v not_o to_o be_v so_o in_o themselves_o but_o with_o respect_n to_o our_o knowledge_n and_o judgement_n of_o they_o for_o as_o in_o themselves_o they_o must_v be_v and_o can_v be_v but_o one_o either_o true_a or_o false_a so_o in_o his_o argument_n be_v they_o suppose_v to_o be_v of_o god_n or_o not_o of_o god_n viz._n of_o man_n or_o satan_n his_o meaning_n be_v when_o he_o urge_v that_o our_o deliverance_n may_v be_v either_o true_a or_o false_a that_o for_o any_o thing_n we_o can_v know_v they_o may_v be_v either_o or_o as_o well_o false_a as_o true_a and_o therefore_o we_o can_v build_v no_o infallible_a assurance_n of_o god_n love_n thereupon_o since_o the_o knowledge_n with_o respect_n to_o the_o evidence_n thereof_o be_v fallible_a again_o hence_o then_o there_o will_v arise_v a_o double_a question_n 1._o with_o respect_n to_o the_o matter_n of_o deliverance_n be_v whether_o we_o can_v know_v whether_o we_o be_v true_o deliver_v or_o no_o whether_o our_o deliverance_n be_v real_a 2._o to_o the_o author_n of_o deliverance_n and_o be_v whether_o we_o can_v possible_o know_v whether_o our_o deliverance_n be_v wrought_v by_o god_n or_o no_o i._n by_o satan_n or_o ourselves_o 1._o first_o then_o let_v we_o examine_v whether_o we_o may_v know_v the_o truth_n and_o reality_n of_o our_o deliverance_n and_o to_o this_o i_o answer_v what_o shall_v hinder_v we_o if_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n assist_v we_o can_v any_o thing_n be_v more_o knowable_a to_o the_o soul_n then_o its_o own_o action_n and_o passion_n if_o i_o know_v any_o thing_n do_v not_o i_o know_v that_o i_o know_v it_o if_o i_o love_v any_o thing_n do_v not_o i_o know_v that_o i_o love_v it_o if_o i_o hate_v any_o thing_n do_v not_o i_o know_v that_o i_o hate_v it_o can_v there_o be_v any_o real_a change_n within_o i_o especial_o more_o than_o ordinary_a any_o motion_n alteration_n conversion_n more_o than_o ordinary_a and_o i_o know_v it_o not_o but_o what_o be_v more_o sensible_a than_o the_o deliverance_n from_o under_o the_o bondage_n of_o the_o lordly_a power_n of_o corruption_n to_o use_v one_o of_o his_o own_o instance_n for_o this_o same_o purpose_n than_o the_o cut_n off_o a_o right_a hand_n pluck_v out_o of_o a_o right_a eye_n the_o mortification_n of_o a_o belove_a lust_n what_o be_v more_o knowable_a than_o the_o peace_n of_o god_n pass_v all_o understanding_n when_o deliver_v from_o a_o trouble_a vex_a and_o torment_a conscience_n what_o more_o perceivable_a then_o then_o joy_v unspeakable_a their_o deliverance_n as_o true_a and_o firm_a as_o the_o best_a answ_n i_o answer_v this_o be_v not_o deny_v and_o yet_o this_o as_o i_o have_v show_v before_o can_v a_o jot_n make_v a_o true_a christian_n evidence_n fallible_a or_o the_o knowledge_n of_o his_o true_a deliverance_n weak_a and_o deceivable_a the_o reason_n be_v plain_a for_o though_o a_o man_n in_o the_o dark_a or_o blind_a may_v easy_o be_v deceive_v yet_o a_o man_n that_o have_v his_o eye_n in_o his_o head_n indubitable_o know_v what_o he_o see_v or_o feel_v a_o man_n a_o sleep_n may_v dream_v and_o fancy_n to_o himself_o that_o he_o have_v full_a barn_n full_a chest_n full_a table_n all_o the_o ground_n and_o matter_n and_o occasion_n of_o joy_n imaginable_a but_o though_o this_o man_n do_v but_o dream_n and_o be_v deceive_v can_v another_o that_o have_v these_o thing_n indeed_o be_v assure_v thereof_o shall_v another_o man_n lie_n make_v my_o truth_n of_o none_o effect_v because_o some_o menare_n dead_a be_v there_o none_o that_o know_v themselves_o alive_a some_o blind_a do_v none_o see_v and_o know_v they_o see_v because_o the_o half_n recover_v blind_a man_n in_o the_o gospel_n see_v man_n as_o tree_n shall_v this_o make_v the_o stander_n by_o question_n whether_o they_o do_v indeed_o see_v man_n or_o no_o yea_o can_v they_o not_o be_v assure_v thereof_o because_o of_o his_o doubt_n we_o that_o be_v deliver_v out_o of_o the_o power_n of_o darkness_n we_o have_v our_o eye_n open_v and_o be_v in_o marvellous_a light_n beside_o and_o can_v we_o see_v no_o more_o than_o such_o as_o be_v blind_a and_o in_o the_o dark_a then_o hypocrite_n our_o eye_n be_v open_v and_o we_o see_v in_o god_n light_n have_v receive_v the_o spirit_n to_o this_o end_n that_o we_o know_v the_o thing_n
