enter_v into_o a_o place_n of_o so_o great_a glory_n and_o happiness_n as_o heaven_n be_v shall_v be_v raise_v to_o a_o high_a and_o eminent_a degree_n of_o power_n and_o strength_n that_o they_o understand_v but_o little_a what_o that_o happiness_n be_v that_o they_o shall_v attain_v to_o hereafter_o the_o scripture_n call_v it_o a_o glory_n that_o shall_v be_v reveal_v rom._n 8.18_o the_o suffering_n of_o this_o present_a life_n be_v not_o to_o be_v compare_v to_o the_o glory_n that_o shall_v be_v reveal_v in_o we_o that_o be_v in_o the_o soul_n a_o glory_n and_o happiness_n there_o that_o be_v satisfactory_a and_o delightful_a there_o be_v nothing_o of_o sin_n there_o and_o therefore_o nothing_o of_o sorrow_n saint_n in_o heaven_n enjoy_v the_o best_a company_n there_o be_v the_o great_a and_o glorious_a god_n see_v and_o know_v in_o all_o his_o glorious_a excellency_n and_o perfection_n there_o be_v the_o bless_a lord_n jesus_n christ_n the_o lord_n of_o life_n
arise_v again_o for_o their_o justification_n and_o glorification_n that_o this_o be_v he_o that_o with_o the_o price_n of_o his_o own_o blood_n not_o only_o buy_v their_o pardon_n but_o purchase_v to_o be_v obtain_v for_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v if_o when_o we_o be_v enemy_n we_o be_v reconcile_v by_o his_o death_n much_o more_o be_v reconcile_v shall_v we_o be_v save_v by_o his_o life_n and_o because_o he_o live_v glorify_v in_o heaven_n therefore_o shall_v believer_n live_v with_o he_o there_o and_o therefore_o also_o shall_v they_o be_v the_o more_o desirous_a to_o be_v there_o then_o say_v we_o see_v now_o there_o be_v the_o great_a reason_n in_o the_o world_n why_o the_o saint_n and_o people_n of_o god_n have_v such_o vehement_a desire_n after_o he_o be_v so_o covetous_a of_o be_v in_o his_o presence_n and_o behold_v of_o his_o glory_n for_o what_o soul_n that_o know_v he_o that_o have_v taste_v of_o his_o love_n and_o experience_v the_o manifestation_n of_o his_o grace_n and_o favour_n towards_o it_o but_o do_v most_o earnest_o wish_v not_o only_o to_o see_v he_o but_o to_o live_v for_o ever_o with_o he_o o_o my_o soul_n whence_o be_v it_o then_o that_o thou_o ravish_a transcendent_a beauty_n and_o excellency_n that_o be_v in_o thou_o and_o let_v we_o every_o day_n have_v more_o and_o far_a insight_n into_o those_o never_o to_o be_v full_o know_v perfection_n of_o glory_n and_o loveliness_n that_o be_v in_o thyself_o that_o thereby_o we_o may_v be_v enable_v not_o only_o to_o commend_v thou_o a_o thousand_o time_n more_o feel_o and_o affectionate_o unto_o other_o but_o may_v thereby_o also_o win_v upon_o yea_o command_v the_o affection_n and_o desire_v of_o all_o that_o hear_v of_o thou_o unto_o thou_o that_o nothing_o short_a of_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o thyself_o and_o the_o manifestation_n of_o thy_o love_n and_o favour_n in_o eternal_a glory_n may_v satisfy_v and_o content_v we_o or_o they_o but_o that_o we_o may_v continual_o be_v cry_v out_o in_o that_o know_a language_n of_o thy_o church_n come_v lord_n jesus_n come_v quick_o four_o and_o last_o the_o saint_n happiness_n in_o heaven_n consist_v in_o this_o that_o there_o they_o shall_v have_v the_o vision_n and_o enjoyment_n of_o god_n himself_o be_v always_o where_o he_o be_v see_v his_o face_n and_o behold_v his_o glory_n now_o in_o speak_v to_o this_o great_a happiness_n of_o the_o saint_n the_o beatifical_a vision_n of_o god_n i_o shall_v content_v myself_o with_o those_o thing_n that_o be_v most_o plain_a and_o will_v be_v most_o beneficial_a now_o the_o sacred_a scripture_n give_v we_o a_o account_n of_o this_o great_a and_o mysterious_a part_n of_o the_o saint_n happiness_n in_o many_o high_a and_o lofty_a expression_n call_v it_o sometime_o a_o see_v of_o the_o face_n of_o god_n rev._n 22.4_o they_o shall_v see_v his_o face_n sometime_o it_o be_v set_v forth_o by_o our_o become_a like_a unto_o god_n and_o see_v he_o as_o he_o be_v so_o in_o 1_o john_n 3.2_o now_o say_v the_o apostle_n we_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n but_o it_o do_v not_o no_o nor_o can_v it_o yet_o appear_v what_o we_o shall_v be_v but_o most_o beautiful_a person_n or_o object_n in_o the_o world_n yet_o be_v there_o no_o transform_a power_n come_v from_o they_o to_o work_v any_o alteration_n in_o the_o complexion_n of_o the_o beholder_n render_v he_o the_o more_o beautiful_a by_o the_o sight_n of_o those_o person_n or_o object_n he_o may_v carry_v away_o a_o idea_n of_o the_o beauty_n and_o comeliness_n of_o those_o person_n or_o object_n that_o he_o have_v behold_v in_o his_o mind_n which_o may_v delight_v his_o fancy_n in_o the_o thought_n of_o they_o but_o there_o be_v no_o alteration_n make_v in_o he_o but_o the_o same_o deformity_n and_o blemish_n remain_v still_o notwithstanding_o but_o it_o be_v otherwise_o in_o heaven_n the_o sight_n of_o the_o glorious_a and_o holy_a god_n make_v the_o saint_n that_o behold_v he_o to_o become_v like_a unto_o he_o in_o holiness_n and_o glory_n for_o so_o be_v the_o word_n of_o the_o belove_a apostle_n who_o lie_v in_o the_o bosom_n of_o christ_n 1_o john_n 3.2_o we_o shall_v be_v like_a unto_o he_o that_o be_v unto_o god_n and_o the_o ground_n or_o reason_n of_o it_o follow_v in_o the_o next_o word_n for_o we_o shall_v see_v he_o as_o he_o be_v it_o be_v true_a the_o people_n of_o god_n be_v like_a unto_o he_o while_o they_o be_v in_o this_o world_n but_o their_o likeness_n to_o god_n here_o and_o their_o likeness_n to_o he_o in_o heaven_n great_o differ_v the_o likeness_n that_o the_o people_n of_o god_n have_v unto_o god_n in_o this_o life_n be_v both_o a_o imperfect_a likeness_n and_o a_o grow_a likeness_n neither_o of_o which_o be_v the_o people_n of_o god_n capable_a of_o in_o heaven_n first_o the_o likeness_n they_o have_v to_o god_n here_o be_v a_o imperfect_a likeness_n in_o some_o thing_n they_o be_v like_a unto_o god_n and_o in_o other_o thing_n they_o be_v not_o wherein_o they_o be_v like_a unto_o god_n they_o be_v comely_a but_o wherein_o they_o be_v like_a unto_o the_o world_n they_o be_v deform_v and_o therefore_o give_v they_o a_o likeness_n unto_o god_n but_o with_o the_o moon_n they_o have_v their_o spot_n sin_n and_o corruption_n still_o remain_v in_o they_o while_o they_o be_v in_o this_o world_n but_o now_o the_o saint_n likeness_n to_o god_n in_o heaven_n by_o the_o vision_n they_o have_v of_o he_o there_o it_o be_v such_o a_o likeness_n as_o exclude_v all_o sin_n and_o all_o imperfection_n they_o be_v so_o like_a unto_o god_n that_o they_o be_v nothing_o but_o what_o he_o be_v not_o as_o to_o his_o be_v and_o essence_n for_o that_o be_v incommunicable_a but_o in_o grace_n and_o holiness_n and_o so_o according_a to_o their_o capacity_n they_o partake_v of_o the_o divine_a nature_n itself_o and_o oh_o what_o a_o bless_a state_n will_v this_o be_v when_o we_o shall_v have_v nothing_o in_o we_o but_o what_o we_o partake_v of_o from_o god_n and_o wherein_o we_o shall_v be_v in_o every_o thing_n like_o unto_o he_o second_o that_o likeness_n the_o people_n of_o god_n have_v unto_o god_n here_o be_v a_o grow_a likeness_n that_o grace_n and_o holiness_n believer_n have_v in_o this_o life_n wherein_o consist_v their_o likeness_n unto_o god_n it_o be_v always_o grow_v and_o increase_v in_o they_o hence_o the_o apostle_n tell_v we_o that_o the_o state_n of_o christian_n here_o be_v like_a unto_o newborn_a babe_n who_o be_v always_o desirous_a of_o the_o breast_n for_o their_o nourishment_n and_o growth_n 1_o pet._n 2.2_o as_o newborn_a babe_n that_o desire_v the_o sincere_a milk_n of_o the_o word_n that_o we_o may_v grow_v thereby_o no_o saint_n or_o servant_n of_o god_n ever_o attain_v to_o that_o degree_n of_o grace_n and_o holiness_n here_o but_o still_o there_o be_v something_o lack_v in_o his_o faith_n something_o defective_a in_o his_o love_n something_o want_v in_o his_o patience_n something_o that_o may_v be_v add_v to_o his_o heavenly-mindedness_a to_o his_o meekness_n to_o his_o humility_n and_o to_o all_o his_o other_o grace_n hence_o therefore_o it_o be_v that_o the_o people_n of_o god_n be_v so_o often_o command_v to_o add_v to_o their_o spiritual_a stature_n to_o increase_v with_o the_o increase_v of_o god_n to_o grow_v in_o grace_n and_o in_o the_o save_a knowledge_n of_o our_o lord_n and_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n and_o to_o explain_v this_o truth_n no_o far_o that_o of_o the_o apostle_n be_v full_a to_o this_o purpose_n 2_o cor._n upon_o he_o in_o holy_a duty_n secret_o whisper_v to_o their_o soul_n that_o they_o be_v accept_v in_o the_o belove_a vouchsafe_v to_o they_o some_o discovery_n of_o the_o invisible_a and_o unseen_a but_o yet_o real_a glory_n and_o happiness_n of_o heaven_n and_o of_o their_o interest_n in_o it_o whereby_o their_o soul_n be_v even_o ravish_v with_o a_o excess_n of_o strange_a and_o unusual_a joy_n and_o delight_n beyond_o what_o they_o be_v able_a to_o express_v and_o yet_o all_o this_o be_v whilst_o as_o the_o apostle_n speak_v believer_n walk_v by_o faith_n and_o not_o by_o sight_n now_o if_o this_o little_a sight_n and_o these_o small_a enjoyment_n that_o the_o saint_n have_v of_o god_n here_o which_o in_o comparison_n of_o what_o they_o shall_v see_v and_o enjoy_v of_o god_n hereafter_o may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v no_o sight_n for_o so_o the_o apostle_n call_v it_o 1_o pet._n 1.8_o who_o as_o yet_o have_v not_o see_v if_o this_o sight_n of_o god_n which_o as_o it_o follow_v in_o the_o next_o word_n be_v only_o our_o believe_v in_o god_n if_o this_o fill_v the_o soul_n of_o a_o believer_n with_o so_o great_a joy_n and_o delight_n what_o then_o shall_v the_o beatifical_a vision_n of_o god_n in_o heaven_n do_v if_o faith_n and_o hope_n do_v so_o ravish_v the_o soul_n of_o believer_n with_o joy_n and_o delight_n even_o then_o whilst_o we_o be_v absent_a from_o the_o lord_n for_o as_o the_o apostle_n speak_v whilst_o we_o be_v at_o home_n in_o the_o body_n we_o be_v absent_a from_o the_o lord_n if_o yet_o the_o joy_n of_o faith_n and_o hope_n be_v so_o great_a o_o what_o then_o shall_v the_o joy_n of_o vision_n be_v when_o believer_n shall_v not_o only_o be_v absent_a from_o the_o body_n and_o present_a with_o the_o lord_n but_o shall_v be_v ever_o present_a with_o the_o lord_n both_o in_o soul_n and_o body_n see_v he_o face_n to_o face_n and_o enjoy_v he_o as_o he_o be_v sure_o this_o joy_n must_v needs_o be_v unspeakable_o great_a and_o glorious_a indeed_o this_o sight_n of_o god_n be_v that_o which_o will_v not_o only_o amaze_v the_o eye_n with_o wonder_n but_o ravish_v the_o heart_n with_o eternal_a ecstasy_n of_o joy_n and_o delight_n four_o the_o saint_n sight_n and_o vision_n of_o god_n in_o heaven_n shall_v be_v permanent_a and_o perpetual_a in_o this_o life_n the_o people_n of_o god_n have_v not_o always_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n with_o they_o nor_o the_o manifestation_n of_o his_o love_n and_o favour_n towards_o they_o but_o be_v often_o in_o the_o dark_a for_o either_o they_o sin_v away_o god_n presence_n from_o they_o which_o be_v most_o frequent_a or_o else_o god_n for_o wise_a and_o holy_a end_n see_v good_a to_o withdraw_v himself_o from_o they_o for_o a_o time_n and_o when_o either_o of_o these_o happen_v it_o be_v a_o sad_a time_n with_o such_o soul_n especial_o if_o sin_n have_v be_v the_o cause_n of_o it_o such_o therefore_o walk_v very_o deject_o and_o the_o truth_n be_v their_o case_n be_v very_o sad_a but_o yet_o it_o be_v that_o which_o many_o of_o the_o people_n of_o god_n have_v experience_v see_v how_o the_o church_n complain_v esa_n 49.14_o but_o zion_n say_v the_o lord_n have_v forsake_v i_o my_o god_n have_v forget_v i_o so_o the_o spouse_n cant._n 5.6_o i_o open_v to_o my_o belove_a but_o my_o beloved_n have_v withdraw_v himself_o my_o soul_n fail_v when_o he_o speak_v i_o seek_v he_o but_o i_o can_v not_o find_v he_o i_o call_v he_o but_o he_o give_v i_o no_o answer_n and_o as_o it_o have_v be_v thus_o with_o the_o people_n of_o god_n former_o so_o sad_a experience_n tell_v we_o it_o be_v so_o with_o many_o of_o they_o still_o sometime_o they_o enjoy_v something_o of_o god_n his_o presence_n and_o the_o manifestation_n of_o his_o love_n towards_o they_o in_o a_o duty_n and_o o_o how_o sweet_a and_o delightful_a be_v it_o to_o their_o soul_n when_o they_o thus_o meet_v with_o god_n it_o be_v heaven_n upon_o earth_n but_o these_o thing_n do_v not_o last_v for_o when_o duty_n be_v end_v the_o people_n of_o god_n grow_v careless_a and_o remiss_a yield_v to_o temptation_n give_v way_n to_o sin_n become_v vain_a and_o worldly_a and_o so_o lose_v the_o presence_n of_o god_n by_o reason_n whereof_o they_o walk_v in_o darkness_n have_v no_o manifestation_n of_o his_o love_n and_o favour_n towards_o they_o insomuch_o that_o their_o soul_n be_v even_o ready_a to_o faint_v and_o sink_v within_o they_o under_o a_o despair_n of_o mercy_n this_o now_o be_v the_o case_n of_o many_o a_o child_n of_o god_n in_o this_o world_n sometime_o he_o have_v the_o benign_a instuence_n of_o the_o divine_a favour_n dart_v into_o his_o soul_n which_o make_v he_o great_o to_o rejoice_v but_o what_o god_n thus_o gracious_o give_v he_o do_v not_o wise_o and_o holy_o retain_v these_o joyful_a season_n abide_v not_o always_o with_o the_o people_n of_o god_n but_o they_o soon_o lose_v they_o the_o light_n of_o god_n countenance_n be_v eclipse_v and_o his_o face_n hide_v from_o they_o by_o reason_n of_o their_o foolishness_n but_o it_o be_v not_o thus_o in_o heaven_n no_o sin_n come_v there_o to_o intercept_v between_o the_o face_n of_o god_n and_o those_o holy_a soul_n for_o ever_o there_o be_v no_o complain_v of_o any_o saint_n in_o heaven_n that_o god_n have_v forsake_v he_o or_o hide_v his_o face_n from_o he_o but_o it_o shall_v ever_o be_v with_o those_o holy_a one_o as_o our_o lord_n tell_v we_o it_o be_v now_o with_o their_o angel_n matth._n 18.10_o they_o shall_v always_o behold_v the_o face_n of_o god_n in_o god_n bestow_v upon_o they_o the_o glory_n of_o all_o the_o creature_n either_o in_o heaven_n or_o in_o earth_n shall_v he_o confer_v upon_o they_o the_o glory_n of_o all_o the_o king_n and_o emperor_n in_o the_o world_n yea_o shall_v he_o add_v to_o that_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o sun_n moon_n and_o star_n nay_o shall_v he_o add_v to_o they_o the_o glory_n of_o all_o the_o angel_n and_o cherubim_n in_o heaven_n yet_o still_o they_o will_v say_v they_o have_v not_o enough_o to_o make_v they_o happy_a for_o all_o these_o be_v not_o god_n when_o therefore_o god_n have_v give_v heaven_n to_o the_o saint_n he_o must_v there_o give_v they_o the_o vision_n and_o enjoyment_n of_o himself_o or_o else_o they_o will_v not_o account_v themselves_o happy_a nay_o i_o will_v go_v a_o little_a happy_a and_o now_o and_o never_o till_o now_o do_v they_o say_v they_o have_v enough_o and_o o_o how_o sweet_a be_v this_o word_n ever_o unto_o the_o saint_n in_o heaven_n in_o the_o sense_n i_o be_o speak_v of_o ever_o to_o be_v with_o the_o lord_n ever_o to_o have_v he_o smile_v upon_o the_o soul_n ever_o to_o behold_v his_o face_n ever_o to_o have_v his_o presence_n with_o it_o and_o ever_o to_o be_v under_o the_o manifestation_n of_o his_o love_n and_o favour_n here_o here_o be_v heaven_n and_o happiness_n indeed_o thus_o to_o see_v and_o enjoy_v god_n for_o ever_o and_o so_o much_o for_o the_o first_o thing_n what_o kind_n of_o sight_n or_o vision_n of_o god_n the_o saint_n shall_v have_v in_o heaven_n second_o wherein_o do_v it_o appear_v that_o this_o vision_n of_o god_n
you_o have_v continue_v wait_v but_o a_o few_o day_n long_v god_n will_v grant_v your_o desire_n for_o when_o you_o come_v to_o heaven_n whither_o death_n will_v certain_o and_o sudden_o bring_v you_o sin_n a_o unholy_a heart_n and_o nature_n shall_v never_o more_o afflict_v or_o trouble_v you_o for_o sin_n that_o be_v here_o your_o burden_n to_o feel_v shall_v there_o be_v your_o delight_n to_o be_v for_o ever_o without_o that_o impenitent_a unbelieving_a heart_n those_o vain_a yea_o sinful_a thought_n which_o be_v wont_a to_o lie_v down_o and_o rise_v up_o with_o you_o which_o do_v use_v to_o follow_v you_o to_o every_o duty_n and_o accompany_v you_o in_o every_o place_n and_o service_n and_o which_o you_o can_v no_o more_o leave_v behind_o you_o when_o you_o go_v to_o pray_v to_o hear_v to_o read_v or_o to_o meditate_v than_o you_o can_v leave_v yourselves_o behind_o you_o shall_v all_o be_v leave_v behind_o you_o when_o you_o come_v to_o die_v they_o do_v and_o will_v keep_v you_o company_n while_o you_o live_v but_o they_o shall_v not_o go_v one_o step_n with_o you_o beyond_o death_n than_o you_o take_v your_o leave_n of_o they_o bid_v a_o eternal_a farewell_n to_o all_o death_n do_v for_o a_o believer_n at_o one_o blow_n perfect_o free_v he_o from_o the_o burden_n and_o be_v of_o sin_n for_o ever_o four_o in_o heaven_n the_o people_n of_o god_n shall_v arrive_v unto_o a_o perfection_n of_o grace_n and_o holiness_n as_o all_o that_o the_o saint_n have_v here_o be_v but_o mean_a compare_v to_o what_o they_o shall_v attain_v to_o hereafter_o so_o all_o that_o the_o saint_n do_v here_o be_v but_o mean_a compare_v to_o what_o they_o shall_v be_v enable_v to_o do_v hereafter_o grace_n in_o a_o godly_a man_n in_o this_o life_n be_v in_o its_o minority_n and_o therefore_o the_o act_n of_o grace_n must_v needs_o be_v according_o the_o excellency_n and_o beauty_n of_o a_o saint_n lie_v inward_a in_o the_o hide_a man_n of_o the_o heart_n or_o as_o the_o psalmist_n speak_v he_o be_v one_o that_o be_v all_o glorious_a within_o and_o because_o grace_n in_o he_o be_v inward_a therefore_o its_o excellency_n be_v not_o so_o visible_a and_o apparent_a grace_n in_o a_o godly_a man_n neither_o do_v nor_o can_v shine_v forth_o in_o its_o glory_n and_o beauty_n here_o because_o sin_n in_o he_o eclipse_n the_o splendour_n of_o its_o appearance_n the_o imperfection_n of_o grace_n be_v discernible_a here_o but_o the_o perfection_n and_o beauty_n of_o grace_n be_v neither_o know_v nor_o attainable_a here_o the_o high_a degree_n of_o grace_n and_o holiness_n that_o the_o best_a of_o god_n people_n reach_v unto_o here_o come_v infinite_o short_a to_o what_o they_o shall_v attain_v to_o in_o heaven_n it_o be_v true_a a_o little_a grace_n in_o a_o saint_n now_o make_v he_o glorious_a in_o the_o eye_n of_o those_o who_o have_v a_o spirit_n of_o discern_v to_o behold_v it_o in_o respect_n whereof_o the_o saint_n be_v call_v the_o excellent_a one_o of_o the_o earth_n psal_n 16.3_o now_o if_o the_o weakness_n and_o imperfection_n of_o grace_n for_o that_o which_o the_o people_n of_o god_n attain_v to_o of_o grace_n here_o it_o no_o more_o compare_v with_o what_o they_o shall_v attain_v to_o in_o heaven_n if_o this_o weakness_n and_o imperfection_n of_o grace_n be_v so_o excellent_a and_o glorious_a o_o how_o exceed_v glorious_a will_v self-denial_n nehemiah_n for_o his_o zeal_n for_o god_n and_o his_o glory_n david_n for_o his_o love_n to_o god_n and_o his_o ordinance_n job_n for_o his_o patience_n s._n paul_n for_o his_o unwearied_a industry_n and_o laboriousness_n in_o the_o work_n of_o god_n and_o the_o service_n of_o soul_n o_o how_o eminent_o glorious_a have_v the_o particular_a act_n of_o these_o particular_a grace_n in_o these_o servant_n of_o god_n make_v they_o in_o all_o age_n insomuch_o that_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n have_v think_v good_a to_o record_v their_o excellency_n in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n and_o their_o praise_n shall_v be_v in_o all_o the_o church_n of_o god_n to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n now_o if_o the_o saint_n eminency_n in_o some_o particular_a grace_n have_v for_o it_o that_o he_o may_v sanctify_v and_o cleanse_v it_o with_o the_o wash_n of_o water_n by_o the_o word_n as_o the_o apostle_n speak_v but_o he_o never_o present_v it_o to_o himself_o a_o glorious_a church_n not_o have_v spot_n or_o wrinkle_n till_o he_o bring_v it_o to_o heaven_n by_o a_o work_n of_o sanctification_n he_o be_v now_o daily_o cleanse_v and_o purify_n of_o it_o but_o the_o full_a perfection_n and_o beauty_n of_o holiness_n be_v not_o put_v upon_o it_o till_o the_o marriage_n between_o he_o and_o his_o church_n be_v consummate_v in_o glory_n here_o in_o this_o life_n there_o be_v much_o imperfection_n in_o the_o righteousness_n and_o holiness_n of_o the_o saint_n many_o fault_n and_o infirmity_n they_o have_v that_o other_o may_v censure_v and_o condemn_v and_o themselves_o ought_v to_o bewail_v and_o mourn_v for_o but_o in_o heaven_n they_o shall_v be_v faultless_a so_o say_v the_o apostle_n judas_n 24._o whilst_o the_o church_n be_v militant_a upon_o earth_n though_o she_o be_v black_a and_o have_v her_o spot_n yet_o be_v she_o comely_a but_o when_o she_o come_v to_o be_v triumphant_a in_o heaven_n then_o will_v she_o be_v as_o a_o beautiful_a bride_n adorn_v with_o fullness_n and_o perfection_n of_o grace_n and_o holiness_n fit_v and_o prepare_v for_o her_o lord_n and_o husband_n company_n rev._n 22.2_o where_o every_o saint_n shall_v behold_v and_o love_v the_o bless_a and_o holy_a god_n and_o their_o dear_a lord_n jesus_n with_o a_o love_n equal_a to_o angel_n and_o cherubim_n satiate_v and_o delight_v their_o soul_n in_o he_o with_o a_o joy_n far_o exceed_v the_o high_a joy_n that_o any_o of_o the_o people_n of_o god_n ever_o be_v
perfect_a lineament_n of_o christ_n will_v then_o be_v draw_v upon_o it_o a_o weak_a and_o small_a measure_n of_o grace_n which_o be_v the_o high_a attainment_n that_o any_o saint_n reach_v to_o here_o compare_v with_o what_o we_o shall_v do_v hereafter_o and_o be_v also_o the_o image_n of_o christ_n upon_o the_o soul_n of_o a_o believer_n yet_o even_o this_o imperfect_a grace_n and_o holiness_n make_v the_o soul_n to_o shine_v glorious_o here_o how_o much_o more_o than_o shall_v glory_n that_o be_v the_o perfection_n of_o grace_n and_o the_o perfect_a of_o the_o image_n of_o christ_n upon_o the_o soul_n make_v the_o soul_n of_o a_o believer_n to_o exceed_v in_o glory_n not_o that_o the_o saint_n in_o heaven_n shall_v be_v continual_o receive_v new_a addition_n to_o their_o grace_n or_o glory_n and_o so_o be_v make_v more_o and_o more_o like_a unto_o christ_n by_o the_o vision_n they_o shall_v there_o have_v of_o he_o no_o this_o be_v a_o saint_n work_v and_o employment_n here_o on_o earth_n whilst_o he_o behold_v christ_n only_o by_o a_o eye_n of_o faith_n in_o the_o glass_n of_o duty_n and_o ordinance_n thus_o to_o be_v change_v into_o his_o image_n from_o glory_n to_o glory_n but_o this_o sight_n of_o christ_n shall_v vanish_v away_o in_o heaven_n and_o the_o saint_n shall_v have_v a_o immediate_a vision_n of_o god_n and_o christ_n and_o their_o mystery_n of_o divine_a providence_n this_o be_v a_o knowledge_n wherein_o angel_n may_v delightful_o busy_v themselves_o in_o the_o contemplation_n of_o and_o not_o stoop_v below_o the_o excellency_n and_o dignity_n of_o their_o nature_n something_o of_o light_n and_o knowledge_n they_o have_v into_o these_o object_n now_o but_o alas_o it_o be_v little_a we_o know_v of_o god_n of_o christ_n of_o the_o mystery_n of_o redemption_n and_o providence_n to_o what_o shall_v be_v know_v in_o heaven_n some_o of_o these_o bless_a object_n be_v far_o above_o out_o of_o our_o sight_n other_o be_v far_o above_o the_o reach_n of_o our_o understanding_n to_o comprehend_v the_o depth_n of_o those_o mystery_n of_o wisdom_n grace_n and_o love_n that_o be_v contain_v in_o they_o but_o in_o heaven_n our_o capacity_n shall_v be_v enlarge_v to_o take_v in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o these_o high_a and_o glorious_a object_n in_o heaven_n god_n will_v take_v off_o the_o veil_n from_o his_o face_n that_o we_o may_v see_v he_o face_n to_o face_n and_o not_o only_o so_o but_o will_v strengthen_v we_o that_o we_o may_v be_v able_a to_o look_v upon_o and_o behold_v his_o glory_n and_o excellency_n which_o otherwise_o will_v astonish_v and_o confound_v we_o there_o shall_v we_o see_v the_o bless_a lord_n jesus_n who_o for_o our_o sake_n be_v for_o a_o little_a while_n make_v a_o little_a low_o than_o the_o angel_n crown_v with_o glory_n and_o honour_n all_o the_o wonderful_a and_o astonish_a mystery_n of_o our_o redemption_n shall_v be_v there_o unfold_v to_o we_o there_o it_o be_v that_o we_o shall_v see_v all_o the_o glorious_a attribute_n of_o god_n wisdom_n justice_n mercy_n holiness_n faithfulness_n and_o truth_n sweet_o reconcile_v and_o full_o satisfy_v and_o content_v in_o the_o contrivance_n of_o our_o redemption_n by_o jesus_n christ_n there_o we_o shall_v with_o great_a satisfaction_n understand_v the_o deep_a and_o obscure_a mystery_n of_o religion_n which_o here_o the_o most_o profound_a scholar_n be_v never_o able_a full_o to_o comprehend_v there_o shall_v the_o most_o dark_a and_o difficult_a passage_n of_o that_o divine_a and_o heavenly_a book_n the_o scripture_n be_v make_v clear_a and_o plain_a to_o our_o understanding_n there_o it_o shall_v be_v give_v we_o to_o discern_v how_o exquisite_o the_o several_a part_n of_o holy_a writ_n be_v by_o the_o all_o wise_a and_o before_o see_v author_n of_o they_o god_n fit_v and_o adapt_v unto_o the_o several_a time_n place_n person_n and_o occurrence_n for_o which_o they_o be_v intend_v chief_o to_o be_v use_v we_o shall_v then_o plain_o see_v not_o only_o a_o reconcileableness_n but_o a_o friendship_n and_o perfect_a harmony_n between_o those_o sacred_a text_n in_o holy_a writ_n that_o seem_v most_o to_o jar_n and_o be_v at_o great_a variance_n yea_o there_o shall_v we_o discover_v not_o only_o the_o meaning_n of_o the_o most_o dark_a and_o obscure_a passage_n of_o that_o sacred_a book_n but_o how_o fit_a it_o be_v that_o they_o shall_v be_v so_o together_o with_o the_o infinite_a wisdom_n of_o the_o great_a god_n that_o cause_v they_o to_o be_v write_v so_o obscure_o there_o it_o be_v that_o those_o riddle_n of_o divine_a providence_n shall_v be_v expound_v and_o lay_v open_a before_o we_o which_o have_v make_v not_o only_o wicked_a man_n to_o deny_v but_o tempt_v even_o good_a man_n themselves_o sometime_o to_o call_v in_o question_n the_o infinite_a and_o unerring_a wisdom_n of_o the_o great_a god_n in_o his_o government_n of_o the_o world_n when_o they_o behold_v wicked_a and_o ungodly_a man_n to_o prosper_v grow_v rich_a and_o great_a have_v all_o their_o heart_n can_v wish_v whilst_o upright_a and_o righteous_a one_o be_v continual_o expose_v to_o poverty_n reproach_n and_o contempt_n there_o shall_v we_o be_v full_o convince_v that_o all_o these_o seem_a irregularity_n be_v not_o only_o consistent_a with_o god_n justice_n and_o goodness_n but_o be_v the_o wise_a production_n of_o they_o and_o though_o the_o belief_n hereof_o do_v to_o wise_a and_o understand_a person_n seem_v to_o be_v a_o piece_n of_o great_a self-denial_n yet_o when_o we_o come_v to_o heaven_n it_o will_v appear_v to_o be_v as_o high_o rational_a as_o now_o we_o find_v it_o to_o be_v hard_a and_o difficult_a man_n of_o himself_o be_v no_o fit_a judge_n of_o the_o providence_n of_o god_n at_o any_o time_n but_o especial_o not_o in_o this_o world_n because_o he_o can_v see_v the_o whole_a of_o his_o providential_a working_n at_o once_o his_o day_n as_o job_n speak_v be_v but_o as_o a_o shadow_n upon_o earth_n and_o they_o fly_v away_o so_o that_o he_o can_v see_v but_o little_a of_o what_o god_n be_v do_v but_o when_o we_o come_v to_o heaven_n the_o whole_a conduct_n of_o god_n providence_n in_o the_o administration_n of_o affair_n in_o the_o world_n shall_v be_v lay_v open_a to_o our_o view_n then_o shall_v all_o the_o revolution_n and_o occurrence_n of_o empire_n state_n
heaven_n and_o happiness_n not_o upon_o any_o good_a work_n he_o have_v do_v but_o upon_o what_o christ_n have_v do_v and_o suffer_v for_o he_o though_o he_o have_v whereof_o to_o glory_n as_o himself_o say_v yet_o he_o look_v upon_o all_o as_o nothing_o and_o desire_v only_o to_o be_v find_v in_o christ_n and_o whatever_o conceit_n or_o opinion_n sinner_n may_v have_v of_o themselves_o and_o of_o the_o merit_n of_o their_o duty_n and_o service_n in_o their_o health_n and_o prosperity_n when_o death_n and_o judgement_n according_a to_o their_o apprehension_n seem_v to_o be_v many_o another_o mind_n when_o death_n lay_v hold_v of_o they_o with_o its_o cold_a hand_n and_o when_o a_o awaken_v conscience_n be_v hurry_v they_o on_o to_o make_v their_o appearance_n before_o the_o tribunal_n of_o the_o great_a god_n the_o righteous_a judge_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n there_o be_v few_o if_o any_o that_o be_v so_o bold_a and_o presumptuous_a as_o to_o boast_v of_o their_o merit_n upon_o a_o deathbed_n no_o death_n and_o judgement_n convince_v and_o alter_v man_n mind_n make_v they_o speak_v quite_o another_o language_n than_o what_o they_o do_v former_o it_o be_v not_o great_a unsuitableness_n between_o heaven_n and_o a_o unholy_a soul_n first_o there_o be_v a_o agreeableness_n yea_o a_o sameness_n between_o holiness_n and_o heaven_n the_o glory_n of_o heaven_n lie_v not_o in_o this_o that_o a_o saint_n shall_v there_o outshine_v the_o brightness_n of_o the_o sun_n that_o there_o he_o shall_v not_o be_v expose_v to_o heat_n to_o cold_a to_o nakedness_n or_o want_n that_o there_o he_o shall_v be_v free_a from_o disease_n sickness_n and_o death_n itself_o that_o he_o shall_v not_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o meat_n drink_v and_o clothing_n no_o nor_o that_o he_o shall_v always_o be_v in_o the_o hear_n of_o melodious_a song_n and_o hallilujah_n of_o saint_n and_o angel_n these_o thing_n indeed_o be_v in_o heaven_n
but_o the_o fullness_n and_o perfection_n of_o that_o grace_n and_o holiness_n the_o initial_o and_o beginning_n whereof_o make_v the_o knowledge_n and_o society_n of_o they_o so_o desirable_a here_o on_o earth_n now_o certain_o if_o this_o be_v a_o thing_n desirable_a in_o heaven_n as_o i_o humble_o conceive_v it_o be_v a_o thing_n very_o probable_a why_o then_o it_o will_v follow_v that_o satisfaction_n and_o contentment_n herein_o shall_v not_o be_v want_v in_o heaven_n for_o in_o heaven_n there_o shall_v be_v no_o desire_n in_o holy_a soul_n that_o be_v holy_a and_o regular_n and_o may_v be_v know_v to_o one_o another_o in_o heaven_n when_o god_n have_v create_v adam_n he_o throw_v he_o into_o a_o deep_a sleep_n and_o of_o one_o of_o his_o rib_n which_o he_o then_o take_v out_o of_o he_o he_o form_v eve_n and_o bring_v she_o unto_o adam_n who_o as_o soon_o as_o he_o see_v she_o present_o know_v she_o and_o what_o manner_n of_o creature_n she_o be_v and_o therefore_o say_v and_o comely_a through_o god_n comeliness_n put_v upon_o he_o as_o the_o prophet_n speak_v ezek._n 16.14_o thou_o be_v comely_a through_o my_o comeliness_n that_o i_o put_v upon_o thou_o and_o though_o the_o great_a god_n have_v many_o various_a title_n and_o attribute_n by_o which_o he_o have_v be_v please_v to_o make_v discovery_n of_o himself_o unto_o his_o people_n yet_o that_o wherein_o he_o chief_o glory_n be_v his_o holiness_n hence_o therefore_o it_o be_v that_o though_o the_o power_n of_o god_n be_v call_v his_o arm_n and_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n his_o eye_n and_o the_o love_n of_o god_n his_o heart_n yet_o be_v it_o the_o holiness_n of_o god_n only_o that_o be_v his_o face_n his_o beauty_n his_o glory_n and_o as_o the_o face_n of_o a_o man_n be_v the_o beauty_n of_o a_o man_n so_o be_v holiness_n the_o beauty_n of_o god_n himself_o upon_o this_o account_n therefore_o we_o read_v more_o than_o once_o of_o the_o beauty_n of_o holiness_n and_o of_o god_n be_v glorious_a in_o holiness_n expression_n which_o serve_v great_o to_o illustrate_v to_o we_o the_o excellency_n of_o holiness_n and_o may_v very_o well_o enamour_v the_o creature_n to_o be_v in_o love_n with_o it_o for_o that_o which_o be_v the_o glory_n of_o the_o infinite_o wise_a god_n namely_o his_o holiness_n can_v but_o be_v the_o high_a excellency_n and_o glory_n of_o man._n as_o and_o exaltation_n the_o high_a dignity_n and_o promotion_n the_o humane_a nature_n be_v capable_a of_o for_o it_o be_v participation_n of_o the_o supreme_a excellency_n of_o the_o divine_a nature_n itself_o and_o that_o indeed_o in_o which_o as_o we_o ought_v to_o be_v like_o god_n so_o be_v it_o that_o in_o which_o we_o can_v only_o be_v say_v true_o and_o proper_o to_o imitate_v he_o and_o therefore_o we_o never_o meet_v with_o any_o command_n in_o scripture_n require_v we_o to_o be_v as_o great_a as_o wise_a or_o as_o powerful_a as_o god_n be_v but_o to_o be_v holy_a as_o god_n be_v holy_a to_o be_v perfect_a as_o our_o heavenly_a father_n be_v perfect_a and_o to_o purify_v ourselves_o as_o god_n be_v pure_a these_o we_o do_v yea_o all_o the_o command_n threaten_n and_o promise_n both_o of_o the_o law_n and_o of_o the_o gospel_n have_v a_o tendency_n unto_o this_o to_o engage_v we_o unto_o purity_n of_o heart_n and_o unto_o holiness_n of_o life_n will_v thou_o therefore_o know_v o_fw-fr christian_n whether_o thy_o right_n and_o title_n unto_o heaven_n be_v true_a examine_v thyself_o what_o influence_n and_o operation_n the_o word_n of_o god_n the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n the_o providence_n of_o god_n have_v have_v upon_o thy_o heart_n and_o life_n to_o sanctify_v and_o make_v thou_o holy_a in_o both_o and_o know_v for_o certain_a if_o they_o have_v have_v such_o a_o effect_n upon_o thou_o this_o be_v as_o sure_a a_o evidence_n of_o heaven_n as_o any_o thou_o can_v have_v and_o that_o which_o can_v deceive_v thou_o for_o it_o be_v a_o earnest_n thereof_o give_v into_o thy_o soul_n before_o hand_n it_o be_v heaven_n begin_v in_o thou_o on_o earth_n for_o holiness_n and_o happiness_n grace_n and_o glory_n be_v but_o one_o and_o the_o same_o thing_n differ_v only_o in_o their_o measure_n and_o degree_n and_o wherever_o there_o be_v a_o work_n of_o grace_n begin_v in_o any_o soul_n god_n will_v carry_v it_o on_o unto_o perfection_n in_o heaven_n but_o now_o on_o the_o contrary_a if_o thou_o be_v one_o that_o wallow_a in_o the_o pollution_n and_o defilement_n of_o sin_n know_v o_o sinner_n while_o thou_o continue_v in_o thy_o uncleanness_n and_o filthiness_n thou_o have_v no_o right_a and_o title_n unto_o heaven_n neither_o as_o continue_v such_o shall_v thou_o ever_o have_v admission_n into_o it_o for_o into_o that_o holy_a place_n no_o unclean_a thing_n shall_v ever_o enter_v again_o second_o will_v thou_o know_v whether_o thou_o can_v just_o lay_v any_o claim_n unto_o heaven_n examine_v what_o thy_o thought_n and_o apprehension_n of_o heaven_n be_v when_o thou_o have_v read_v or_o hear_v a_o discourse_n concern_v heaven_n and_o the_o glory_n and_o happiness_n that_o there_o be_v to_o be_v enjoy_v what_o kind_n of_o thought_n have_v thou_o then_o of_o that_o state_n and_o place_n seem_v it_o unto_o thou_o to_o be_v a_o place_n only_o of_o freedom_n from_o pain_n and_o sickness_n from_o trouble_n and_o sorrow_n a_o place_n of_o ease_n and_o rest_v where_o thou_o shall_v enjoy_v thy_o fill_n of_o what_o be_v pleasurable_a and_o delightful_a to_o thou_o and_o all_o this_o in_o a_o infinite_a duration_n that_o shall_v never_o know_v a_o end_n now_o though_o in_o heaven_n there_o be_v the_o enjoyment_n of_o all_o these_o thing_n for_o there_o be_v no_o sickness_n nor_o disease_n no_o pain_n nor_o sorrow_n but_o a_o perfect_a freedom_n from_o all_o that_o be_v evil_a and_o a_o eternal_a enjoyment_n of_o what_o be_v pleasant_a and_o delightful_a yet_o these_o thing_n be_v the_o least_o and_o mean_a part_n of_o the_o happiness_n of_o heaven_n it_o be_v true_a be_v there_o nothing_o more_o nothing_o great_a nor_o better_o to_o be_v enjoy_v than_o what_o these_o thing_n amount_v unto_o a_o eternity_n of_o health_n without_o sickness_n of_o pleasure_n without_o pain_n of_o delight_n without_o sorrow_n be_v a_o very_a great_a happiness_n but_o when_o all_o these_o thing_n be_v compare_v with_o the_o infinite_o great_a and_o bless_a god_n with_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o his_o love_n and_o presence_n the_o see_v of_o his_o face_n perfection_n of_o grace_n and_o holiness_n freedom_n from_o sin_n a_o heart_n mind_n will_n and_o affection_n in_o all_o the_o desire_n and_o inclination_n of_o they_o bend_v towards_o god_n and_o all_o of_o they_o not_o only_o delight_v in_o but_o abundant_o satisfy_v and_o fill_v with_o the_o communication_n of_o the_o divine_a goodness_n they_o be_v then_o but_o a_o small_a and_o inconsiderable_a part_n of_o heaven_n happiness_n and_o not_o worthy_a to_o be_v compare_v with_o what_o a_o gracious_a soul_n both_o desire_n and_o shall_v enjoy_v for_o its_o happiness_n wherefore_o o_o christian_n if_o thou_o will_v know_v whether_o thou_o can_v upon_o good_a ground_n put_v in_o thy_o claim_n unto_o heaven_n call_v thyself_o to_o a_o account_n what_o thy_o thought_n and_o apprehension_n of_o heaven_n be_v if_o thou_o be_v doubtful_a in_o thy_o mind_n whether_o there_o be_v such_o a_o place_n and_o state_n of_o happiness_n or_o no_o or_o at_o best_a the_o high_a notion_n and_o apprehension_n thou_o have_v of_o that_o glorious_a place_n and_o state_n be_v that_o there_o thou_o shall_v live_v at_o thy_o ease_n enjoy_v nothing_o but_o carnal_a and_o sensual_a object_n and_o delight_n but_o find_v no_o spiritual_a joy_n and_o delight_n in_o thy_o soul_n in_o the_o believe_a thought_n and_o apprehension_n of_o thy_o enjoyment_n of_o god_n and_o christ_n and_o the_o hope_n and_o expectation_n that_o thy_o soul_n shall_v there_o not_o only_o be_v free_a from_o all_o sin_n and_o pollution_n but_o be_v make_v a_o partaker_n of_o the_o fullness_n and_o perfection_n of_o all_o
make_v up_o a_o satisfactory_a bliss_n and_o happiness_n for_o a_o immortal_a soul_n but_o what_o be_v supreme_o superlative_o perfective_o and_o eternal_o good_a and_o that_o be_v the_o bless_a god_n himself_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o who_o in_o heaven_n can_v only_o make_v the_o soul_n perfect_o and_o complete_o happy_a be_v i_o to_o persuade_v wicked_a man_n i_o will_v not_o say_v long_o for_o death_n but_o only_o to_o be_v willing_a to_o die_v my_o task_n be_v not_o only_o difficult_a but_o impossible_a for_o who_o can_v by_o any_o argument_n prevail_v upon_o a_o rational_a creature_n willing_o to_o run_v himself_o into_o misery_n and_o torment_n though_o but_o of_o a_o short_a continuance_n much_o more_o to_o rush_v upon_o those_o misery_n and_o torment_n that_o shall_v be_v everlasting_a into_o which_o every_o wicked_a man_n when_o he_o come_v to_o die_v shall_v fall_v and_o this_o sinner_n know_v not_o only_o from_o scripture_n revelation_n but_o from_o the_o terror_n and_o accusation_n of_o their_o own_o conscience_n before_o hand_n unto_o such_o therefore_o all_o persuasion_n of_o this_o nature_n be_v vain_a and_o to_o no_o purpose_n such_o stand_n in_o need_n of_o the_o most_o powerful_a exhortation_n back_v with_o the_o strong_a argument_n that_o can_v be_v to_o stir_v they_o up_o to_o a_o speedy_a preparation_n for_o their_o approach_a dissolution_n lest_o thereby_o they_o fall_v into_o a_o state_n of_o misery_n that_o be_v unalterable_a for_o ever_o but_o when_o i_o be_o speak_v to_o the_o people_n of_o god_n unto_o who_o death_n will_v be_v of_o such_o infinite_a gain_n and_o advantage_n methinks_v my_o work_n shall_v be_v easy_a though_o my_o exhortation_n run_v much_o high_o for_o unto_o such_o i_o be_o not_o now_o speak_v by_o way_n of_o persuasion_n unto_o a_o fitness_n for_o death_n because_o i_o take_v it_o for_o grant_v that_o this_o work_n in_o the_o main_a of_o it_o be_v already_o do_v with_o they_o nor_o yet_o be_o i_o stir_v up_o in_o such_o a_o bare_a willingness_n to_o die_v but_o i_o will_v press_v they_o unto_o something_o further_a still_o and_o that_o be_v that_o they_o will_v entertain_v the_o thought_n of_o death_n in_o their_o meditation_n with_o holy_a long_n and_o desire_n of_o soul_n after_o it_o and_o certain_o there_o be_v no_o need_n of_o any_o other_o argument_n to_o urge_v this_o duty_n upon_o such_o than_o bare_o to_o tell_v they_o that_o heaven_n stand_v open_a ready_a to_o receive_v they_o and_o all_o the_o hurt_n death_n will_v do_v unto_o such_o be_v to_o give_v they_o admission_n into_o such_o a_o state_n of_o bliss_n and_o happiness_n as_o shall_v extend_v itself_o unto_o the_o satisfaction_n of_o all_o their_o desire_n unto_o the_o utmost_a both_o as_o to_o the_o nature_n and_o quality_n of_o they_o and_o also_o as_o to_o the_o duration_n and_o continuance_n of_o they_o the_o happiness_n of_o heaven_n be_v so_o great_a that_o it_o require_v the_o capacity_n of_o the_o soul_n shall_v be_v enlarge_v to_o take_v in_o the_o fullness_n thereof_o it_o be_v impossible_a the_o soul_n of_o man_n shall_v now_o receive_v or_o bear_v up_o under_o the_o oppress_a weight_n of_o so_o great_a a_o happiness_n as_o be_v there_o to_o be_v enjoy_v rest_v not_o thyself_o therefore_o satisfy_v o_o believe_a soul_n with_o a_o bare_a contentment_n of_o mind_n that_o when_o thou_o die_v thou_o shall_v certain_o go_v to_o heaven_n but_o let_v thy_o frequent_a thought_n hereof_o fill_v thou_o with_o holy_a long_n and_o pant_n of_o soul_n after_o that_o bless_a state_n the_o misery_n of_o this_o life_n and_o the_o uncomfortableness_n of_o a_o christian_n manner_n of_o live_v while_o he_o be_v here_o in_o respect_n of_o sin_n sorrow_n doubt_n fear_n ignorance_n and_o temptation_n which_o be_v in_o a_o great_a measure_n the_o daily_a and_o afflictive_a companion_n of_o his_o life_n be_v argument_n strong_a enough_o to_o make_v such_o a_o one_o willing_a to_o die_v but_o in_o conjunction_n with_o these_o a_o believer_n have_v a_o prospect_n of_o the_o glory_n and_o happiness_n of_o heaven_n in_o the_o eye_n of_o his_o faith_n unto_o which_o he_o know_v death_n will_v carry_v he_o this_o shall_v fill_v the_o desire_n of_o his_o soul_n with_o holy_a long_n after_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o it_o open_v therefore_o o_o believe_v soul_n the_o eye_n of_o thy_o faith_n and_o look_v upward_o and_o see_v if_o thou_o can_v not_o espy_v a_o glory_n and_o happiness_n in_o the_o high_a heaven_n that_o be_v worthy_a of_o the_o most_o earnest_a breathe_n and_o desire_n of_o thy_o soul_n after_o it_o can_v thou_o in_o the_o whole_a universe_n find_v out_o better_a society_n in_o converse_v with_o who_o thou_o can_v enjoy_v such_o soul-satisfying_a pleasure_n yea_o such_o ravish_a joy_n and_o delight_n as_o be_v there_o to_o be_v find_v there_o be_v holy_a angel_n that_o never_o sin_v who_o nature_n as_o well_o as_o who_o happiness_n in_o this_o state_n of_o mortality_n be_v beyond_o the_o reach_n of_o thy_o understanding_n to_o fathom_n there_o be_v glorify_v saint_n advance_v to_o that_o perfection_n of_o grace_n and_o holiness_n that_o they_o shall_v never_o sin_v more_o there_o be_v the_o bless_a and_o never_o to_o be_v sufficient_o admire_v saviour_n and_o redeemer_n of_o sinner_n the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n who_o as_o he_o once_o in_o our_o nature_n shed_v his_o blood_n here_o on_o earth_n to_o purchase_v heaven_n for_o believer_n so_o be_v he_o now_o reside_v in_o the_o same_o nature_n there_o prepare_v place_n for_o they_o ready_a to_o receive_v they_o into_o the_o embrace_n of_o his_o love_n and_o favour_n yea_o in_o that_o glorious_a place_n there_o be_v that_o which_o shall_v much_o more_o excite_v the_o desire_n of_o believer_n after_o it_o for_o there_o be_v the_o infinite_o great_a and_o glorious_a god_n who_o excellency_n and_o perfection_n be_v such_o that_o as_o none_o can_v understand_v none_o can_v make_v know_v so_o none_o can_v bear_v the_o discovery_n of_o they_o such_o dazzle_a excellency_n of_o glory_n and_o beauty_n be_v there_o in_o the_o face_n of_o god_n that_o angel_n themselves_o be_v not_o able_a to_o behold_v they_o and_o yet_o so_o lovely_a and_o desirable_a a_o object_n be_v he_o that_o angel_n can_v refrain_v from_o look_v on_o he_o and_o certain_o if_o the_o great_a and_o holy_a god_n shall_v display_v but_o a_o little_a of_o himself_o in_o his_o glory_n and_o beauty_n unto_o the_o soul_n of_o a_o believer_n shall_v he_o open_v though_o but_o a_o little_a of_o the_o infinite_a treasure_n of_o his_o goodness_n unto_o the_o view_n of_o the_o soul_n o_o with_o what_o ravishment_n of_o joy_n will_v that_o soul_n press_v into_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n and_o with_o what_o a_o holy_a kind_n of_o impatience_n will_v it_o throw_v itself_o into_o his_o arm_n what_o need_n will_v there_o be_v of_o set_v bound_n to_o the_o mount_n to_o keep_v such_o a_o soul_n from_o break_v through_o unto_o the_o lord_n the_o happiness_n of_o heaven_n be_v so_o great_a that_o have_v not_o god_n merciful_o conceal_v from_o we_o the_o infinite_a excellency_n and_o glory_n thereof_o in_o a_o great_a measure_n our_o desire_n will_v be_v so_o vehement_o bend_v upon_o it_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v under_o such_o a_o impatiency_n of_o spirit_n after_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o it_o as_o will_v render_v we_o unfit_a for_o any_o employment_n that_o god_n call_v we_o to_o in_o this_o world_n some_o therefore_o upon_o this_o account_n have_v take_v notice_n of_o the_o infinite_a wisdom_n of_o god_n in_o engage_v the_o soul_n in_o so_o near_o and_o dear_a a_o union_n with_o the_o body_n that_o it_o may_v have_v such_o a_o care_n for_o and_o love_n towards_o it_o as_o may_v tend_v to_o its_o preservation_n and_o not_o be_v desirous_a of_o quit_v its_o habitation_n with_o it_o yea_o some_o of_o the_o heathen_n themselves_o have_v observe_v the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n in_o conceal_v the_o happiness_n of_o separate_a soul_n that_o man_n may_v be_v content_v to_o live_v out_o that_o time_n god_n have_v allot_v to_o they_o in_o this_o world_n alas_o the_o most_o and_o the_o best_a of_o we_o see_v and_o know_v but_o little_a of_o these_o thing_n and_o what_o we_o do_v see_v be_v but_o through_o a_o glass_n dark_o and_o that_o be_v the_o reason_n our_o affection_n go_v not_o out_o more_o earnest_o after_o they_o do_v we_o know_v and_o understand_v more_o of_o heaven_n and_o the_o glory_n and_o happiness_n thereof_o we_o shall_v with_o a_o holy_a impatiency_n of_o desire_n
