a_o resoluteness_n to_o undergo_v all_o those_o hardship_n he_o may_v meet_v with_o in_o the_o performance_n of_o his_o duty_n so_o that_o not_o only_a chastity_n and_o temperance_n but_o also_o christian_a courage_n and_o magnanimity_n may_v come_v under_o this_o head_n humility_n import_v a_o deep_a sense_n of_o our_o own_o meanness_n with_o a_o hearty_a and_o affectionate_a heart_n if_o they_o do_v not_o represent_v some_o vital_a perfection_n we_o either_o see_v or_o apprehend_v some_o greatness_n of_o mind_n or_o vigour_n of_o spirit_n or_o sweetness_n of_o disposition_n some_o sprightliness_n or_o wisdom_n or_o goodness_n which_o charm_v our_o spirit_n and_o command_n our_o love_n now_o these_o perfection_n be_v not_o obvious_a to_o the_o sight_n the_o eye_n can_v only_o discern_v the_o sign_n and_o effect_n of_o they_o and_o if_o it_o be_v the_o understanding_n that_o direct_v the_o affection_n and_o vital_a perfection_n prevail_v with_o it_o certain_o the_o excellency_n of_o the_o divine_a nature_n the_o trace_n whereof_o we_o can_v but_o discover_v in_o every_o thing_n we_o behold_v will_v not_o fail_v to_o engage_v our_o heart_n if_o
