danger_n for_o the_o testimony_n of_o jesus_n profess_v himself_o notwithstanding_o so_o abundant_o satisfy_v with_o the_o ministry_n he_o have_v undertake_v that_o he_o do_v not_o faint_a at_o all_o nor_o grow_v weary_a of_o it_o as_o you_o read_v in_o the_o first_o verse_n of_o the_o forego_n chapter_n that_o which_o make_v he_o so_o courageous_a as_o to_o preach_v under_o so_o many_o discouragement_n which_o he_o mention_n v._o 8_o 9_o be_v the_o same_o spirit_n of_o faith_n which_o have_v ever_o be_v in_o the_o people_n of_o god_n but_o be_v now_o more_o lively_a and_o strong_a in_o he_o through_o the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n from_o the_o dead_a as_o he_o tell_v we_o v._o 13_o 14._o for_o this_o cause_n say_v he_o we_o faint_v not_o etc._n etc._n v._o 16._o it_o be_v no_o fool-hardiness_n that_o make_v they_o expose_v themselves_o to_o so_o many_o calamity_n but_o the_o belief_n of_o some_o better_a thing_n which_o will_v reward_v their_o suffering_n for_o our_o light_a affliction_n say_v he_o v._o 17_o 18._o which_o be_v but_o for_o a_o moment_n work_v for_o we_o a_o far_o more_o exceed_a and_o eternal_a weight_n of_o glory_n while_o we_o look_v not_o at_o the_o thing_n which_o be_v see_v but_o at_o the_o thing_n which_o be_v not_o see_v etc._n etc._n and_o if_o any_o one_o shall_v think_v that_o these_o suffering_n may_v end_v at_o last_o in_o death_n and_o bring_v they_o down_o to_o their_o grave_n he_o will_v have_v they_o think_v withal_o that_o it_o be_v no_o great_a matter_n let_v these_o misery_n proceed_v so_o far_o as_o to_o take_v away_o our_o life_n this_o be_v the_o worst_a of_o it_o the_o best_a be_v we_o know_v that_o if_o our_o earthly_a house_n of_o this_o tabernacle_n be_v dissolve_v we_o have_v a_o build_n of_o god_n a_o house_n not_o make_v with_o hand_n eternal_a in_o the_o heaven_n these_o suffering_n it_o be_v true_a may_v pull_v down_o our_o present_a habitation_n but_o that_o be_v all_o they_o can_v do_v there_o be_v a_o better_a building_n which_o they_o can_v touch_v beside_o we_o shall_v be_v no_o great_a loser_n by_o the_o demolish_n of_o this_o dwell_n for_o it_o be_v but_o a_o earthly_a house_n nay_o we_o shall_v be_v great_a gainer_n for_o we_o shall_v the_o soon_o enter_v into_o the_o celestial_a and_o eternal_a mansion_n this_o be_v the_o sense_n of_o the_o word_n in_o which_o we_o may_v consider_v these_o three_o thing_n 1._o the_o description_n which_o the_o apostle_n make_v of_o the_o present_a state_n in_o which_o we_o now_o be_v it_o be_v in_o our_o earthly_a house_n of_o this_o tabernacle_n which_o must_v be_v dissolve_v 2._o his_o description_n of_o the_o future_a state_n in_o which_o the_o faithful_a shall_v be_v hereafter_o they_o have_v a_o build_n of_o god_n a_o house_n not_o make_v with_o hand_n eternal_a in_o the_o heaven_n 3._o the_o certainty_n of_o that_o happy_a state_n it_o be_v a_o thing_n as_o evident_a in_o its_o kind_n as_o the_o other_o be_v as_o we_o know_v that_o this_o house_n of_o we_o be_v to_o be_v dissolve_v so_o we_o know_v there_o be_v a_o build_n of_o god_n when_o it_o be_v throw_v down_o which_o stand_v for_o ever_o the_o one_o be_v certain_a as_o well_o as_o the_o other_o of_o the_o two_o first_o i_o have_v discourse_v elsewhere_o upon_o the_o like_a occasion_n with_o this_o that_o have_v now_o bring_v we_o together_o show_v how_o poor_a and_o mean_a the_o dwelling_n be_v in_o which_o our_o soul_n lodge_v while_o they_o remain_v in_o this_o world_n and_o what_o goodly_a preparation_n our_o lord_n have_v make_v for_o they_o in_o the_o next_o there_o seem_v to_o be_v a_o opposition_n here_o of_o the_o one_o state_n to_o the_o other_o in_o five_o respect_n 1._o we_o be_v here_o only_o in_o a_o house_n but_o there_o be_v a_o build_n for_o we_o 2._o this_o be_v a_o house_n of_o we_o but_o that_o be_v a_o build_n of_o god_n 3._o we_o be_v now_o but_o a_o house_n of_o a_o tabernacle_n then_o we_o shall_v have_v a_o house_n not_o make_v with_o band_n 4._o and_o this_o be_v a_o earthly_a house_n whereas_o that_o be_v in_o the_o heaven_n 5._o this_o be_v to_o be_v dissolve_v but_o that_o be_v eternal_a in_o the_o heaven_n as_o much_o as_o to_o say_v we_o be_v here_o confine_v to_o a_o very_a strait_a and_o narrow_a room_n in_o which_o the_o noble_a thought_n and_o affection_n of_o our_o soul_n be_v apt_a to_o be_v choke_v and_o stifle_v and_o no_o wonder_n consider_v the_o meaneness_n of_o its_o original_n and_o the_o poorness_n of_o its_o beginning_n our_o body_n be_v once_o a_o very_a small_a pile_n so_o small_a that_o it_o can_v be_v enclose_v in_o our_o mother_n womb._n then_o and_o a_o long_a time_n after_o our_o soul_n be_v so_o pen_v up_o that_o they_o can_v not_o find_v themselves_o they_o be_v force_v to_o stay_v many_o year_n before_o they_o can_v gain_v so_o much_o liberty_n as_o to_o turn_v about_o reflect_v on_o themselves_o and_o know_v that_o they_o have_v a_o be_v nay_o so_o pitiful_o be_v they_o coop_v up_o that_o the_o rational_a spirit_n can_v not_o breathe_v or_o give_v any_o sign_n at_o all_o of_o life_n and_o though_o now_o
which_o he_o appeal_v for_o a_o proof_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o all_o his_o promise_n they_o perceive_v a_o manifest_a difference_n in_o his_o condition_n now_o from_o what_o it_o be_v before_o and_o that_o his_o body_n be_v become_v more_o subtle_a and_o airy_a than_o it_o be_v when_o he_o dwell_v among_o they_o for_o on_o a_o sudden_a he_o appear_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o they_o and_o again_o in_o a_o moment_n he_o vanish_v out_o of_o their_o fight_n his_o body_n be_v now_o in_o a_o preparation_n to_o a_o high_a state_n and_o therefore_o though_o they_o feel_v real_o flesh_n and_o bone_n yet_o he_o show_v they_o by_o the_o hasty_a disappearance_n of_o it_o into_o what_o a_o pure_a substance_n it_o be_v short_o to_o be_v turn_v they_o see_v it_o be_v to_o be_v so_o thin_a and_o rarify_v that_o it_o will_v be_v a_o spirit_n rather_o than_o a_o body_n and_o be_v to_o suffer_v such_o a_o change_n that_o now_o it_o be_v not_o fit_a for_o they_o to_o converse_v withal_o while_o they_o be_v in_o this_o earthly_a tabernacle_n this_o be_v the_o reason_n that_o he_o come_v to_o they_o only_o at_o certain_a season_n and_o continue_v not_o always_o with_o they_o and_o that_o he_o charge_v mary_n not_o to_o touch_v he_o john_n 20._o 17._o as_o if_o she_o mean_v to_o hold_v he_o fast_o and_o keep_v he_o with_o she_o for_o though_o he_o intend_v to_o afford_v they_o some_o of_o his_o company_n be_v not_o yet_o ascend_v to_o the_o father_n yet_o he_o will_v have_v she_o know_v they_o must_v not_o expect_v his_o stay_n with_o they_o after_o his_o wont_a manner_n but_o go_v to_o his_o brethren_n the_o disciple_n and_o say_v to_o they_o i_o ascend_v to_o my_o father_n and_o your_o father_n and_o to_o my_o god_n and_o your_o god_n iu._n according_o they_o know_v that_o be_v catch_v and_o lift_v up_o above_o we_o shall_v be_v in_o continual_a dread_n of_o fall_v down_o to_o this_o earth_n whether_o the_o heaviness_n of_o they_o do_v incline_v we_o and_o therefore_o they_o must_v be_v change_v if_o we_o go_v to_o meet_v the_o lord_n in_o the_o air_n as_o he_o have_v promise_v we_o shall_v for_o the_o apostle_n say_v he_o speak_v this_o by_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n v._o 15._o 5_o and_o he_o promise_v by_o the_o same_o word_n that_o so_o we_o shall_v be_v ever_o with_o he_o ib._n v._n 17._o which_o we_o can_v conceive_v how_o this_o earthly_a body_n shall_v endure_v it_o will_v soon_o be_v weary_a of_o that_o strange_a place_n and_o groan_n and_o sigh_v there_o as_o much_o as_o the_o soul_n do_v here_o it_o will_v be_v pine_v for_o want_v of_o meat_n and_o drink_n as_o the_o spirit_n now_o be_v often_o too_o much_o stifle_v with_o they_o and_o therefore_o in_o pursuance_n of_o his_o promise_n they_o must_v be_v make_v another_o kind_n of_o body_n fit_v to_o that_o country_n to_o which_o they_o shall_v be_v transport_v where_o there_o be_v no_o earth_n nor_o water_n nor_o such_o creature_n as_o live_v in_o they_o but_o pure_a light_n of_o unconceivable_a brightness_n last_o they_o know_v that_o the_o member_n must_v needs_o be_v make_v conformable_a to_o the_o head_n and_o therefore_o his_o body_n be_v glorious_a so_o must_v this_o vile_a body_n of_o we_o be_v make_v too_o as_o the_o apostle_n tell_v we_o phil._n 3._o 21._o it_o will_v be_v but_o a_o ugly_a sight_n among_o we_o to_o behold_v a_o handsome_a beautiful_a face_n of_o the_o pure_a complexion_n join_v to_o a_o body_n black_a and_o sooty_a who_o limb_n be_v all_o deform_a and_o dis-proportioned_n and_o much_o more_o ill-favoured_a to_o see_v a_o head_n of_o light_n glister_v like_o the_o sun_n and_o all_o the_o member_n dark_a as_o pitch_v resemble_v this_o sluggish_a earth_n they_o make_v no_o question_n therefore_o but_o that_o when_o he_o shall_v appear_v again_o visible_o with_o they_o attend_v on_o he_o they_o shall_v be_v conform_v to_o the_o condition_n and_o quality_n of_o his_o person_n to_o who_o they_o relate_v as_o member_n of_o his_o body_n that_o so_o he_o may_v be_v admire_v in_o his_o saint_n and_o glorify_v in_o all_o that_o believe_v they_o look_v for_o he_o to_o come_v from_o heaven_n and_o fashion_v they_o after_o his_o
