the_o pope_n who_o they_o affirm_v to_o be_v the_o head_n of_o the_o church_n and_o by_o consequence_n to_o influence_n and_o give_v life_n to_o every_o one_o of_o its_o member_n suppose_v the_o pope_n be_v a_o wicked_a man_n as_o many_o such_o have_v be_v according_a to_o their_o own_o confession_n if_o he_o be_v covetous_a profane_a lechrous_a a_o heretic_n a_o necromancer_n or_o a_o hellish_a monster_n how_o can_v any_o relation_n and_o union_n with_o such_o a_o one_o do_v i_o any_o good_a can_v he_o make_v i_o partaker_n of_o that_o holiness_n which_o he_o himself_o want_v i_o have_v good_a cause_n to_o fear_v that_o he_o will_v infect_v i_o with_o his_o vice_n be_v it_o not_o a_o grievous_a mistake_n and_o a_o ridiculous_a fancy_n to_o say_v that_o i_o can_v please_v god_n nevertheless_o this_o be_v one_o of_o the_o article_n of_o the_o popish_a creed_n and_o faith_n §_o their_o doctrine_n concern_v tradition_n be_v also_o contrary_a to_o the_o holy_a word_n of_o god_n it_o tend_v to_o withdraw_v we_o from_o our_o faith_n and_o belief_n in_o it_o if_o jesus_n christ_n do_v now_o live_v in_o the_o world_n he_o may_v with_o reason_n treat_v the_o papist_n in_o the_o one_o thing_n that_o have_v very_o much_o scandalize_v i_o in_o this_o doctrine_n it_o be_v the_o reason_n and_o expedient_a that_o they_o have_v to_o maintain_v it_o which_o tend_v to_o the_o total_a subversion_n of_o christian_a religion_n and_o to_o the_o destruction_n
