and_o if_o you_o be_v not_o both_o god_n and_o man_n shall_v curse_v you_o therefore_o be_v merciful_a this_o may_v encourage_v we_o and_o this_o will_v encourage_v we_o certain_o frailty_n if_o the_o lord_n be_v not_o quite_o depart_v from_o us._n but_o as_o it_o be_v needful_a that_o this_o virtue_n shall_v be_v in_o we_o so_o be_v it_o as_o needful_a that_o it_o be_v right_o in_o we_o for_o otherwise_o we_o deceive_v ourselves_o and_o we_o shall_v miss_v the_o reward_n in_o the_o end_n and_o therefore_o as_o i_o have_v indevor_v to_o stir_v you_o up_o unto_o it_o so_o it_o shall_v not_o be_v unprofitable_a per_fw-mi adventure_v altogether_o if_o i_o also_o direct_v you_o a_o little_a in_o it_o some_o than_o have_v think_v this_o virtue_n to_o have_v be_v deliver_v in_o the_o verse_n before_o which_o we_o have_v hear_v of_o under_o the_o name_n of_o méekenesse_n but_o in_o deed_n they_o differ_v much_o for_o méekenesse_n than_o be_v show_v when_o we_o ourselves_o be_v wrong_v and_o yet_o revenge_v not_o but_o put_v it_o up_o and_o leave_v it_o to_o the_o lord_n and_o mercy_n when_o we_o ourselves_o be_v no_o way_n hurt_v yet_o be_v touch_v and_o move_v with_o other_o man_n want_n and_o even_o suffer_v with_o they_o because_o they_o suffer_v endeavour_n ourselves_o to_o our_o ability_n to_o relieve_v and_o help_v they_o so_o that_o this_o virtue_n of_o mercy_n as_o you_o see_v stand_v of_o two_o part_n to_o wit_n of_o a_o tender_a feel_v and_o compassion_n within_o we_o and_o of_o a_o outward_a love_a help_n with_o our_o ability_n whatsoever_o it_o be_v without_o us._n the_o misery_n of_o man_n be_v of_o two_o sort_n and_o therefore_o also_o this_o merciful_a pity_n and_o help_v of_o as_o many_o for_o either_o a_o man_n want_v what_o be_v needful_a for_o his_o soul_n or_o what_o be_v convenient_a for_o his_o body_n and_o both_o of_o these_o do_v a_o merciful_a christian_n tender_n and_o pity_n and_o help_v as_o he_o can_v of_o the_o former_a we_o have_v a_o proof_n in_o the_o example_n of_o our_o saviour_n christ_n who_o 6._o bowel_n even_o yern_v and_o heart_n ache_v to_o see_v the_o spiritual_a misery_n and_o want_n of_o that_o great_a multitude_n that_o then_o he_o see_v be_v destitute_a of_o knowledge_n and_o altogether_o as_o wander_a sheep_n without_o a_o shepherd_n of_o the_o second_o we_o have_v a_o proof_n also_o in_o the_o samaritan_n who_o merciful_a nature_n show_v itself_o toward_o 10._o bodily_a want_n and_o outward_a grief_n of_o he_o that_o thief_n have_v so_o ill_o handle_v and_o in_o both_o these_o you_o see_v the_o part_n i_o speak_v of_o namely_o inward_a compassion_n and_o outward_a help_n without_o which_o never_o can_v this_o virtue_n stand_v nor_o we_o be_v like_v either_o of_o god_n or_o man_n for_o if_o we_o pity_v and_o yet_o help_v not_o that_o fearful_a speech_n of_o john_n light_v on_o we_o how_o dwell_v the_o love_n of_o god_n in_o we_o and_o we_o shall_v assure_o hear_v it_o in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n when_o i_o be_v naked_a you_o clothe_v i_o not_o when_o i_o be_v hungry_a you_o feed_v i_o not_o and_o so_o forth_o and_o if_o we_o help_v a_o man_n in_o his_o need_n and_o yet_o do_v it_o not_o upon_o any_o tender_a compassion_n toward_o he_o but_o upon_o a_o jollity_n and_o pride_n in_o ourselves_o and_o upon_o a_o imagination_n of_o merit_n for_o the_o work_n sake_n or_o such_o like_a it_o be_v loothsome_a again_o all_o that_o ever_o we_o do_v to_o the_o lord_n and_o we_o loose_v our_o reward_n if_o you_o doubt_v of_o this_o you_o may_v see_v it_o prove_v in_o the_o pharisy_n 3._o who_o alm_n abound_v &_o make_v a_o glorious_a show_n but_o because_o they_o let_v the_o weighty_a matter_n pass_v as_o judgement_n and_o mercy_n and_o fidelity_n their_o outward_a deed_n have_v never_o reward_v therefore_o even_o a_o thousand_o time_n mark_v it_o how_o want_n of_o right_a disposition_n in_o the_o heart_n make_v outward_a deal_n of_o gift_n be_v it_o never_o so_o magnifical_a but_o pharisaical_a and_o wicked_a against_o that_o blockish_a assertion_n of_o some_o that_o the_o deed_n do_v must_v needs_o be_v reward_v this_o tender_a feel_v do_v the_o apostle_n both_o profess_v in_o himself_o and_o require_v in_o other_o in_o himself_o when_o he_o ask_v who_o be_v 29._o weak_a and_o he_o be_v not_o weak_a who_o be_v offend_v and_o he_o burn_v not_o in_o other_o when_o be_v say_v weep_v with_o they_o that_o 12._o weep_v and_o rebuke_v the_o corinthian_n for_o that_o they_o see_v so_o great_a a_o fall_n of_o their_o brother_n be_v puff_v up_o and_o do_v not_o rather_o sorrow_n so_o well_o thus_o you_o see_v 15._o what_o manner_n of_o mercy_n must_v be_v in_o you_o if_o it_o be_v allow_v of_o the_o lord_n now_o how_o this_o good_a virtue_n be_v beget_v in_o man_n we_o let_v we_o also_o consider_v and_o beside_o diverse_a other_o that_o may_v be_v name_v you_o shall_v see_v the_o worker_n of_o it_o especial_o and_o above_o other_o mean_n to_o be_v experience_n and_o sight_n for_o the_o first_o we_o see_v it_o in_o the_o wisdom_n of_o the_o lord_n our_o god_n most_o plain_o who_o therefore_o give_v his_o experience_n own_o son_n a_o sense_n of_o our_o woe_n that_o experience_n may_v make_v he_o a_o more_o merciful_a ready_a and_o careful_a regarder_n of_o our_o suit_n it_o behoove_v he_o say_v the_o 17._o apostle_n in_o all_o thing_n to_o be_v make_v like_o to_o his_o brethren_n that_o he_o may_v be_v a_o merciful_a and_o faithful_a high_a priest_n and_o again_o we_o have_v not_o a_o high_a priest_n that_o can_v 15._o be_v touch_v with_o the_o feel_n of_o our_o infirmity_n but_o we_o have_v one_o that_o be_v in_o all_o thing_n tempt_v in_o like_a sort_n yet_o without_o sin_n conclude_v thereupon_o present_o let_v we_o therefore_o go_v bold_o to_o the_o throne_n of_o grace_n that_o we_o may_v receive_v mercy_n and_o grace_n to_o help_v in_o time_n of_o need_n why_o so_o assure_o because_o we_o can_v never_o feel_v that_o want_n which_o he_o know_v not_o and_o know_v experience_n work_v effectual_o a_o ready_a regard_n and_o help_v whereupon_o by_o the_o way_n we_o may_v ground_n a_o great_a comfort_n against_o any_o cross_n if_o we_o mark_v it_o for_o thus_o may_v we_o think_v if_o mercifulnes_n make_v we_o
