regard_n to_o his_o constitution_n of_o our_o obedience_n as_o the_o mean_n of_o attain_v it_o be_v a_o reward_n and_o god_n in_o bestow_v of_o it_o a_o rewarder_n though_o it_o be_v neither_o the_o cause_n matter_n nor_o condition_n of_o our_o justification_n yet_o it_o be_v the_o way_n appoint_v of_o god_n for_o we_o to_o walk_v in_o for_o the_o obtain_n of_o salvation_n and_o therefore_o he_o that_o have_v hope_n of_o eternal_a life_n purify_v himself_o as_o he_o be_v pure_a and_o none_o shall_v ever_o come_v to_o that_o end_n who_o walk_v not_o in_o that_o way_n for_o without_o holiness_n it_o be_v impossible_a to_o see_v god_n 2._o it_o be_v a_o testimony_n and_o pledge_n of_o adoption_n a_o sign_n and_o evidence_n of_o grace_n that_o be_v of_o acceptation_n with_o god_n and_o 3_o lie_n the_o whole_a expression_n of_o our_o thankfulness_n now_o there_o be_v not_o one_o of_o all_o these_o cause_n and_o reason_n of_o the_o necessity_n the_o indispensible_a necessity_n of_o our_o obedience_n good_a work_n and_o personal_a righteousness_n but_o will_v require_v a_o more_o large_a discourse_n to_o unfold_v and_o explain_v than_o i_o have_v allot_v to_o the_o proposal_n of_o they_o all_o and_o innumerable_a other_o there_o be_v of_o the_o same_o import_n that_o i_o can_v name_v he_o that_o upon_o these_o account_n do_v not_o think_v universal_a holiness_n and_o obedience_n to_o be_v of_o indispensible_a necessity_n un_fw-fr less_o also_o it_o be_v exalt_v into_o the_o room_n of_o the_o obedience_n and_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n let_v he_o be_v filthy_a still_o these_o objection_n be_v remove_v and_o have_v at_o the_o entrance_n of_o this_o chapter_n declare_v what_o be_v do_v on_o the_o part_n of_o christ_n as_o §_o 35_o to_o our_o fellowship_n with_o he_o in_o this_o purchase_a grace_n as_o to_o our_o acceptation_n with_o god_n it_o remain_v that_o i_o now_o show_v what_o also_o be_v require_v and_o perform_v on_o our_o part_n for_o the_o complete_n thereof_o this_o than_o consist_v in_o the_o ensue_a particular_n 1._o the_o saint_n cordial_o approve_v of_o this_o righteousness_n as_o that_o alone_a which_o be_v absolute_o complete_a and_o able_a to_o make_v they_o acceptable_a §_o 36_o before_o god_n and_o this_o suppose_v five_o thing_n 1._o their_o clear_a and_o full_a conviction_n of_o the_o necessity_n of_o a_o righteousness_n wherewith_o to_o appear_v before_o god_n this_o be_v always_o in_o their_o thought_n this_o in_o their_o whole_a life_n they_o take_v for_o grant_v many_o man_n spend_v their_o day_n in_o obstinacy_n and_o hardness_n add_v drunkenness_n unto_o thirst_n never_o once_o inquire_v what_o their_o condition_n shall_v be_v when_o they_o enter_v into_o eternity_n other_o trifle_v away_o their_o time_n and_o their_o soul_n sow_v the_o wind_n of_o empty_a hope_n and_o prepare_v to_o reap_v a_o whirlwind_n of_o wrath_n but_o this_o lie_v at_o the_o bottom_n of_o all_o the_o saint_n communion_n with_o christ._n a_o deep_a fix_v resolve_a persuasion_n of_o a_o absolute_a and_o indispensable_a
