manner_n of_o language_n for_o when_o two_o thing_n be_v compare_v together_o in_o the_o extol_n of_o the_o more_o excellent_a or_o abase_v of_o the_o more_o vile_a be_v many_o time_n use_v a_o negative_a by_o comparison_n which_o nevertheless_o be_v no_o pure_a negative_a but_o only_o in_o the_o respect_n of_o the_o more_o excellent_a or_o the_o more_o base_a as_o by_o example_n when_o the_o people_n reject_v the_o prophet_n samuel_n ●_o desire_v to_o have_v a_o king_n almighty_a god_n say_v to_o samuel_n they_o have_v not_o reject_v thou_o but_o i_o not_o mean_v by_o this_o negative_a absolute_o that_o they_o have_v not_o reject_v samuel_n in_o who_o place_n they_o desire_v to_o have_v a_o king_n but_o by_o that_o one_o negative_a by_o comparison_n he_o understand_v two_o affirmative_n that_o be_v to_o say_v that_o they_o have_v reject_v samuel_n and_o not_o he_o alone_o but_o also_o that_o they_o have_v chief_o reject_v god_n and_o when_o the_o prophet_n david_n say_v in_o the_o person_n of_o christ_n i_o be_o a_o worm_n and_o not_o a_o man_n by_o this_o negative_a he_o deny_v not_o utter_o that_o christ_n be_v a_o man_n but_o the_o more_o vehement_o to_o express_v the_o great_a humiliation_n of_o christ_n he_o say_v that_o he_o be_v not_o abase_v only_o to_o the_o nature_n of_o man_n but_o be_v bring_v so_o low_a that_o he_o may_v rather_o be_v call_v
