endure_n he_o speak_v indeed_o especial_o of_o suffering_n for_o the_o truth_n from_o the_o cruel_a hand_n of_o man_n but_o it_o be_v true_a likewise_o of_o all_o suffering_n under_o the_o correct_a hand_n of_o god_n those_o stroke_n which_o be_v deadly_a to_o our_o body_n may_v yet_o work_v for_o we_o and_o what_o work_n they_o the_o seventeentth_v verse_n answer_v the_o question_n our_o light_a affliction_n which_o be_v but_o for_o a_o moment_n work_n for_o we_o a_o far_o more_o exceed_a and_o eternal_a weight_n of_o glory_n the_o suffering_n of_o the_o saint_n be_v active_a and_o their_o passion_n opperative_a but_o how_o do_v they_o work_v not_o by_o way_n of_o merit_n or_o earn_n our_o blood_n can_v oblige_v god_n but_o by_o way_n of_o preparation_n the_o lord_n send_v affliction_n to_o fashion_n and_o cleanse_v our_o heart_n as_o fit_a vessel_n to_o hold_v a_o exceed_a weight_n of_o glory_n our_o bear_v the_o heavy_a affliction_n do_v not_o weigh_v so_o much_o as_o the_o least_o grain_n of_o glory_n yet_o they_o fit_v our_o heart_n for_o a_o exceed_o excellent_a weight_n of_o glory_n we_o can_v say_v proper_o 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d that_o they_o work_v any_o glory_n but_o by_o a_o hyperbole_n in_o speech_n we_o say_v they_o work_v towards_o a_o hyperbole_n in_o glory_n and_o if_o any_o doubt_n can_v a_o man_n be_v happy_a when_o his_o outward_a comfort_n be_v go_v doubtless_o he_o may_v for_o a_o man_n be_v never_o unhappy_a but_o when_o he_o have_v lose_v that_o wherein_o happiness_n do_v consist_v the_o happiness_n of_o a_o godly_a man_n do_v not_o consist_v in_o his_o outward_a comfort_n in_o riches_n in_o health_n in_o honour_n in_o civil_a liberty_n or_o humane_a relation_n therefore_o in_o the_o loss_n of_o these_o he_o can_v be_v unhappy_a his_o happiness_n consist_v in_o his_o relation_n to_o and_o acceptance_n with_o god_n in_o his_o title_n to_o and_o union_n with_o jesus_n christ_n while_o he_o keep_v these_o privilege_n and_o these_o he_o shall_v keep_v for_o ever_o what_o have_v he_o lose_v if_o he_o lose_v all_o beside_o these_o he_o have_v not_o lose_v any_o thing_n discerneable_a out_o of_o his_o estate_n suppose_v a_o man_n be_v worth_a a_o million_o of_o money_n and_o he_o shall_v loose_v a_o penny_n will_v you_o think_v this_o man_n a_o undo_a man_n no_o his_o estate_n feel_v not_o this_o loss_n and_o therefore_o he_o have_v not_o lose_v his_o estate_n if_o a_o man_n shall_v buy_v a_o thousand_o measure_n of_o corn_n or_o cloth_n and_o shall_v loose_v the_o give_v handful_n of_o the_o one_o or_o inch_n of_o the_o other_o will_v you_o say_v that_o this_o man_n have_v lose_v either_o his_o corn_n or_o his_o cloth_n all_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o world_n and_o they_o only_o be_v looseable_a which_o a_o godly_a man_n have_v be_v not_o so_o much_o to_o his_o estate_n as_o a_o penny_n to_o a_o million_o they_o
