it_o be_v that_o perseoution_n trial_n and_o affliction_n common_o make_v a_o great_a discovery_n who_o be_v wheat_n or_o pure_a gold_n viz._n sincere_a believer_n and_o who_o drossy_a and_o chaffy_a professor_n if_o wheat_n persecution_n purge_v and_o purify_v they_o but_o if_o they_o be_v chaff_n it_o usual_o fan_n they_o away_o but_o he_o that_o receive_v the_o seed_n in_o stony_a place_n the_o same_o be_v he_o which_o hear_v the_o word_n and_o anon_o with_o joy_n recive_v it_o yet_o have_v he_o not_o root_v in_o himself_o but_o endure_v for_o a_o while_n for_o when_o tribulation_n or_o it_o also_o seem_v like_a unto_o it_o even_o so_o some_o carnal_a and_o hypocritical_a professor_n cleave_v to_o the_o church_n and_o seem_v to_o love_v and_o embrace_v the_o godly_a in_o their_o arm_n and_o to_o lay_v they_o in_o their_o heart_n they_o walk_v in_o company_n nay_o in_o outward_a fellowship_n and_o church-communion_n with_o they_o they_o pray_v and_o break-bread_n with_o they_o as_o if_o they_o be_v real_o gracious_a and_o be_v not_o know_v to_o their_o brethren_n to_o be_v otherwise_o and_o as_o it_o be_v hard_o to_o discern_v they_o from_o the_o godly_a so_o it_o be_v as_o hard_a to_o separate_v such_o from_o they_o chaff_n be_v so_o much_o like_o to_o the_o wheat_n that_o some_o have_v take_v it_o at_o first_o view_n to_o be_v wheat_n so_o be_v these_o take_v to_o be_v to_o chaff_n in_o regard_n of_o the_o great_a pain_n that_o be_v and_o must_v be_v use_v to_o separate_v it_o from_o the_o wheat_n the_o wheat_n must_v be_v thresh_v and_o fan_v nay_o fan_a again_o and_o again_o before_o all_o the_o chaff_n can_v be_v sever_v from_o it_o so_o unsound_a professor_n or_o some_o hypocrite_n in_o the_o church_n seem_v to_o cleave_v so_o close_o to_o the_o godly_a and_o be_v in_o such_o seem_a union_n and_o and_o oneness_n with_o they_o that_o the_o lord_n see_v there_o be_v no_o other_o way_n to_o sever_v they_o from_o each_o other_o but_o by_o thresh_v his_o wheat_n with_o the_o flail_n of_o persecution_n and_o then_o the_o chaff_n fly_v away_o by_o the_o wind_n of_o this_o fan_n o_o what_o a_o multitude_n seem_v to_o cleave_v to_o our_o bless_a saviour_n and_o to_o be_v his_o disciple_n in_o a_o day_n of_o peace_n and_o prosperity_n when_o he_o be_v ride_v in_o triumph_n to_o jerusalem_n cry_v out_o hosanna_n bless_a be_v he_o that_o come_v in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n but_o when_o our_o saviour_n come_v to_o the_o cross_n how_o do_v they_o 29._o leave_v he_o and_o disow_v he_o nay_o may_v be_v cry_v out_o crucify_v crucifice_v he_o so_o
