great_a faith_n in_o the_o habit_n may_v appear_v little_a in_o act_n and_o exercise_n the_o disciple_n faith_n in_o forsake_v all_o and_o follow_v christ_n be_v great_a faith_n but_o in_o this_o present_a act_n their_o faith_n be_v weak_a through_o the_o prevalency_n of_o their_o fear_n 28_o and_o when_o he_o be_v come_v to_o the_o other_o side_n into_o the_o country_n of_o the_o gergesenes_n there_o meet_v he_o two_o possess_v with_o devil_n come_v out_o of_o the_o tomb_n exceed_v fierce_a so_o that_o no_o man_n may_v pass_v by_o that_o way_n we_o read_v of_o few_o if_o any_o in_o the_o old_a testament_n that_o be_v possess_v with_o evil_a spirit_n but_o of_o many_o in_o the_o new_a testament_n our_o saviour_n come_v into_o the_o world_n to_o destroy_v the_o work_n of_o the_o devil_n therefore_o he_o suffer_v satan_n to_o enter_v some_o human_a body_n to_o show_v his_o divine_a power_n in_o cast_v they_o out_o note_v here_o 1._o that_o the_o evil_a angel_n by_o their_o fall_n lose_v their_o purity_n but_o not_o their_o power_n 2._o that_o they_o do_v no_o often_o exert_v their_o power_n in_o do_v mischief_n to_o the_o body_n and_o life_n of_o man_n be_v from_o the_o evil_a man_n and_o partly_o spiritual_a to_o work_v upon_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n and_o the_o spirit_n of_o evil_a angel_n learn_v 2._o that_o though_o the_o devil_n be_v now_o as_o full_a of_o discontent_n as_o they_o can_v be_v yet_o they_o be_v not_o so_o full_a of_o torment_n as_o they_o shall_v be_v their_o speech_n here_o intimate_v that_o there_o will_v be_v a_o time_n when_o their_o torment_n shall_v be_v increase_v when_o they_o shall_v have_v their_o fill_n of_o torment_n therefore_o they_o pray_v increase_v not_o our_o torment_n before_o the_o appoint_a time_n of_o their_o increase_n 30_o and_o there_o be_v a_o good_a way_n off_o from_o they_o a_o herd_n of_o many_o swine_n feed_v 31_o so_o the_o devil_n beseech_v he_o say_v if_o thou_o cast_v we_o out_o suffer_v we_o to_o go_v away_o into_o the_o herd_n of_o swine_n observe_v here_o 1._o a_o notable_a evidence_n of_o satan_n limit_a power_n that_o a_o whole_a legion_n of_o devil_n have_v not_o power_n to_o destroy_v one_o man_n nor_o be_v able_a to_o hurt_v the_o mean_a creature_n without_o permission_n obs_n 2._o the_o devil_n acknowledgement_n of_o their_o own_o impotency_n and_o christ_n power_n their_o ask_v leave_v of_o christ_n to_o go_v into_o the_o swine_n show_v that_o they_o can_v not_o go_v of_o themselves_o learn_v hence_o 1._o the_o restlessness_n of_o satan_n malice_n he_o will_v hurt_v the_o swine_n rather_o than_o not_o hurt_v at_o all_o 2._o that_o though_o satan_n malice_n be_v infinite_a yet_o his_o power_n be_v limit_v and_o bound_v as_o he_o can_v do_v all_o the_o mischief_n he_o will_v so_o he_o shall_v not_o do_v all_o he_o can_v 32_o and_o he_o say_v unto_o they_o go._n and_o when_o they_o be_v come_v out_o they_o go_v into_o the_o herd_n of_o swine_n and_o
