by_o our_o action_n and_o to_o find_v the_o mean_n wherein_o the_o comeliness_n of_o that_o which_o we_o will_v do_v consist_v this_o goodly_a seemliness_n or_o rather_o disposition_n of_o the_o &_o valour_n but_o my_o desire_n be_v to_o follow_v the_o discipline_n of_o those_o who_o life_n and_o conversation_n i_o will_v glad_o follow_v philo_z the_o jew_n speak_v of_o the_o religious_a man_n disperse_v throughout_o the_o desert_n of_o egypt_n and_o who_o in_o great_a perfection_n of_o life_n bestow_v their_o time_n in_o contemplation_n say_v that_o they_o lay_v up_o in_o their_o soul_n temperance_n as_o a_o good_a firm_a and_o sure_a foundation_n whereon_o they_o may_v afterward_o settle_v and_o establish_v all_o manner_n of_o virtue_n and_o therefore_o we_o must_v begin_v at_o that_o end_n for_o if_o plato_n with_o some_o reason_n compare_v our_o soul_n unto_o horse_n which_o must_v be_v ride_v and_o break_v ken_n by_o a_o skilful_a rider_n for_o a_o cunning_a horseman_n will_v first_o of_o all_o be_v sure_a to_o have_v the_o bit_n in_o the_o horse_n mouth_n before_o he_o give_v he_o the_o spur_n that_o he_o may_v restrain_v he_o from_o go_v out_o oâ—_n themselves_o unto_o the_o sensible_a object_n which_o offer_v themselves_o unto_o they_o but_o contrariwise_o so_o to_o yield_v unto_o they_o as_o that_o they_o cause_v those_o object_n to_o serve_v they_o and_o reason_n whereof_o they_o shall_v be_v altogether_o in_o very_a deed_n make_v now_o of_o all_o the_o passion_n over_o which_o temperance_n must_v have_v a_o especial_a eye_n to_o
