sin_n and_o peace_n make_v the_o conscience_n quiet_a the_o two_o fiend_n that_o torment_v we_o be_v sin_n and_o conscience_n conscience_n but_o christ_n have_v vanquish_v these_o two_o monster_n and_o tread_v they_o under_o foot_n both_o in_o this_o world_n and_o in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v this_o the_o world_n do_v not_o know_v and_o therefore_o it_o can_v teach_v no_o certainty_n of_o the_o overcome_v of_o sin_n conscience_n and_o death_n christian_n only_a christian_n have_v this_o kind_n of_o doctrine_n and_o be_v exercise_v and_o arm_v with_o it_o to_o get_v victory_n against_o and_o drive_v to_o desperation_n much_o less_o be_v sin_n take_v away_o by_o the_o work_n and_o invention_n of_o man_n as_o wicked_a worship_n strange_a religious_a vow_n and_o pilgrimage_n final_o the_o greeting_n of_o his_o epistle_n set_v grace_n and_o peace_n against_o sin_n and_o a_o evil_a conscience_n this_o thing_n must_v be_v diligent_o mark_v the_o word_n be_v easy_a but_o in_o tentation_n it_o be_v the_o hard_a thing_n that_o can_v be_v to_o be_v certain_o persuade_v in_o our_o heart_n that_o by_o grace_n alone_o without_o any_o other_o mean_v either_o in_o heaven_n or_o promise_v in_o christ_n many_o have_v careful_o labour_v by_o find_v out_o diverse_a and_o sundry_a religion_n order_n and_o exercise_n for_o this_o purpose_n to_o attain_v peace_n and_o quietness_n of_o conscience_n but_o by_o so_o do_v they_o have_v plunge_v themselves_o in_o more_o and_o great_a misery_n for_o all_o such_o device_n be_v but_o mean_n to_o increase_v doubtfulness_n and_o despair_n therefore_o there_o shall_v be_v no_o rest_n to_o my_o bone_n or_o thou_o unless_o we_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o grace_n and_o cleave_v unto_o it_o steadfast_o &_o faithful_o then_o shall_v hierome_n in_o a_o certain_a place_n as_o touch_v meat_n and_o drink_v i_o say_v nothing_o for_o as_o much_o as_o it_o be_v excess_n that_o even_o such_o as_o be_v weak_a and_o feeble_a shall_v use_v cold_a water_n or_o eat_v any_o sodden_a thing_n etc_n etc_n but_o now_o in_o the_o light_n of_o the_o gospel_n we_o plain_o see_v who_o they_o be_v who_o christ_n and_o his_o apostle_n call_v saint_n saint_n not_o they_o which_o live_v a_o sole_a &_o a_o single_a life_n or_o strait_o observe_v day_n meat_n apparel_n &_o such_o other_o thing_n or_o in_o outward_a appearance_n do_v other_o great_a god_n which_o they_o receive_v by_o faith_n as_o his_o word_n his_o sacrament_n the_o passion_n of_o christ_n his_o death_n resurrection_n victory_n and_o the_o send_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n to_o conclude_v they_o be_v saint_n through_o such_o a_o holiness_n as_o they_o free_o receive_v not_o through_o such_o a_o holiness_n as_o they_o themselves_o have_v get_v by_o their_o own_o industry_n other_o way_n to_o salvation_n but_o now_o we_o judge_v of_o it_o far_o otherwise_o we_o be_v now_o ashamed_a of_o those_o thing_n which_o we_o adore_v as_o most_o heavenly_a and_o holy_a before_o we_o be_v regenerate_v into_o this_o new_a creature_n mind_n wherefore_o the_o change_a of_o garment_n &_o other_o outward_a thing_n be_v not_o a_o new_a creature_n as_o the_o monk_n dream_v but_o
