bloodshed_n make_v a_o infinite_a satisfaction_n to_o divine_a justice_n and_o all_o this_o as_o a_o surety_n and_o in_o the_o place_n and_o stead_n of_o all_o those_o that_o true_o believe_v on_o his_o name_n and_o if_o he_o have_v thereupon_o true_o believe_v that_o all_o this_o be_v as_o true_o do_v and_o suffer_v for_o he_o as_o if_o he_o himself_o have_v do_v and_o suffer_v it_o in_o his_o be_v justify_v in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n by_o they_o but_o now_o with_o he_o he_o count_v they_o loss_n for_o christ_n and_o desire_v to_o be_v find_v in_o he_o not_o have_v his_o own_o righteousness_n which_o be_v of_o the_o law_n but_o 9_o phil._n 3._o 9_o that_o which_o be_v through_o the_o faith_n of_o christ_n the_o righteousness_n which_o be_v of_o god_n through_o faith_n then_o do_v we_o willing_o open_v the_o door_n and_o let_v he_o in_o otherwise_o we_o send_v not_o for_o he_o again_o and_o even_o so_o be_v we_o like_v to_o deal_v by_o you_o sim._n well_o sir_n you_o have_v answer_v i_o full_o and_o i_o hope_v i_o shall_v think_v of_o it_o but_o sir_n suppose_v that_o a_o antinomisticall_a professor_n shall_v come_v before_o you_o how_o will_v you_o deal_v with_o he_o min._n why_o though_o a_o man_n be_v accuse_v to_o be_v a_o antimonian_a yet_o if_o upon_o examination_n we_o find_v that_o he_o have_v a_o competent_a measure_n of_o knowledge_n and_o we_o neither_o know_v nor_o can_v hear_v but_o that_o he_o lead_v a_o honest_a and_o religious_a course_n of_o life_n though_o he_o seem_v to_o hold_v that_o the_o law_n be_v not_o to_o be_v a_o rule_n of_o life_n to_o a_o believer_n and_o that_o god_n can_v see_v no_o sin_n in_o a_o justify_v person_n and_o that_o god_n be_v neither_o angry_a nor_o do_v afflict_v his_o people_n for_o sin_n and_o that_o christ_n inherent_a righteousness_n be_v both_o the_o righteousness_n of_o a_o believer_n justification_n and_o sanctification_n yet_o if_o we_o perceive_v that_o he_o do_v not_o peremptory_o and_o obstinate_o hold_v and_o maintain_v these_o point_n but_o be_v rather_o induce_v to_o hold_v they_o because_o such_o a_o minister_n or_o such_o a_o religious_a man_n who_o he_o do_v reverence_n and_o have_v a_o good_a opinion_n of_o be_v that_o judgement_n and_o be_v willing_a to_o be_v instruct_v in_o the_o truth_n then_o do_v we_o hope_v that_o notwithstanding_o all_o this_o he_o have_v true_a faith_n in_o christ_n and_o therefore_o do_v open_a the_o gate_n to_o he_o and_o let_v he_o in_o but_o if_o upon_o information_n and_o examination_n we_o find_v a_o man_n to_o hold_v and_o maintain_v these_o point_n obstinate_o and_o do_v either_o certain_o know_v or_o hear_v that_o his_o conversion_n be_v not_o such_o as_o become_v the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n than_o we_o i_o resolve_v to_o stay_v and_o see_v what_o your_o way_n will_v be_v and_o what_o you_o will_v do_v min._n sure_o neighbour_n simon_n though_o i_o be_o very_o persuade_v there_o be_v many_o man_n and_o woman_n go_v that_o way_n who_o do_v true_o fear_v the_o lord_n yet_o be_o i_o jealous_a that_o there_o be_v divers_a take_v in_o among_o they_o that_o be_v as_o unfit_a and_o as_o unmeet_a to_o be_v admit_v to_o the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n as_o any_o that_o we_o have_v hitherto_o admit_v and_o therefore_o i_o see_v no_o reason_n that_o any_o christian_n have_v to_o leave_v we_o and_o go_v to_o they_o for_o any_o such_o cause_n sim._n i_o pray_v you_o sir_n tell_v i_o what_o you_o think_v of_o the_o independent_a way_n for_o i_o will_v fain_o hear_v your_o judgement_n too_o many_o people_n that_o do_v spend_v too_o much_o time_n about_o such_o needless_a matter_n and_o too_o many_o wrangle_a dispute_n have_v be_v thereby_o occasion_v i_o wish_v with_o all_o my_o heart_n there_o may_v be_v no_o more_o and_o i_o wish_v with_o all_o my_o heart_n that_o all_o who_o be_v true_o godly_a either_o among_o they_o or_o we_o have_v such_o humble_a love_a heart_n as_o christian_n ought_v to_o have_v that_o we_o may_v neither_o speak_v nor_o think_v evil_a one_o of_o another_o but_o rather_o study_v and_o endeavour_v to_o make_v up_o the_o breach_n which_o be_v needless_o make_v betwixt_o we_o that_o so_o if_o it_o be_v the_o lord_n will_v we_o may_v all_o speak_v the_o same_o thing_n and_o that_o there_o may_v be_v no_o division_n among_o we_o but_o that_o we_o may_v be_v perfect_o join_v together_o in_o the_o same_o mind_n and_o in_o the_o same_o judgement_n according_a to_o the_o apostle_n exhortation_n 1_o cor._n 1._o 10._o and_o that_o we_o may_v with_o one_o mind_n and_o with_o one_o mouth_n glorify_v god_n even_o the_o father_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n as_o the_o apostle_n exhort_v rom._n 15._o 6._o and_o so_o have_v more_o near_o and_o sweet_a communion_n together_o in_o all_o the_o lord_n holy_a ordinance_n for_o the_o edify_a and_o build_v up_o one_o another_o in_o our_o most_o holy_a faith_n and_o thus_o you_o see_v what_o my_o mind_n and_o desire_n be_v touch_v these_o thing_n sim._n then_o sir_n it_o seem_v to_o i_o that_o you_o do_v not_o only_o desire_v that_o all_o those_o that_o be_v godly_a and_o have_v a_o mind_n to_o go_v the_o independent_a way_n shall_v come_v to_o you_o and_o join_v with_o you_o in_o your_o way_n but_o also_o that_o all_o those_o who_o be_v already_o join_v in_o the_o independent_a way_n shall_v return_v to_o you_o min._n that_o be_v my_o desire_n indeed_o and_o i_o doubt_v not_o but_o that_o it_o will_v be_v very_o well_o please_v and_o acceptable_a to_o the_o lord_n if_o all_o that_o be_v true_o godly_a among_o they_o whether_o they_o be_v minister_n or_o people_n will_v come_v in_o among_o we_o for_o true_o i_o can_v see_v no_o warrant_n they_o have_v from_o the_o word_n of_o god_n to_o separate_v from_o we_o and_o to_o gather_v church_n out_o of_o church_n as_o they_o do_v sure_o i_o think_v if_o they_o will_v but_o read_v that_o learned_a and_o moderate_a tract_n call_v jus_fw-la divinum_fw-la with_o a_o indifferent_a judgement_n and_o moderate_a spirit_n without_o prejudice_n they_o shall_v see_v that_o our_o way_n touch_v church-government_n come_v as_o near_o the_o mind_n and_o will_n of_o christ_n as_o can_v be_v find_v out_o in_o his_o word_n but_o what_o say_v a_o godly_a judicious_a and_o moderate_a minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n in_o the_o pulpit_n not_o long_o since_o in_o my_o hear_n i_o be_o persuade_v say_v he_o and_o it_o be_v not_o only_o my_o judgement_n but_o also_o the_o judgement_n of_o a_o grave_n gody_n and_o learned_a divine_a who_o have_v long_o study_v the_o point_n that_o there_o be_v not_o to_o be_v find_v in_o all_o the_o whole_a new_a testament_n a_o perfect_a platform_n of_o church-government_n which_o make_v i_o think_v say_v he_o that_o it_o be_v not_o the_o mind_n of_o christ_n that_o christian_n under_o the_o new_a testament_n shall_v much_o busy_a or_o trouble_v themselves_o about_o such_o matter_n these_o word_n as_o near_o as_o i_o can_v remember_v he_o utter_v and_o true_o i_o think_v it_o be_v well_o if_o we_o be_v all_o of_o his_o mind_n that_o so_o
true_o have_v you_o ever_o go_v to_o the_o lord_n in_o prayer_n about_o your_o sin_n mat._n yea_o indeed_o sir_n i_o have_v of_o late_a divers_a time_n go_v private_o to_o prayer_n and_o have_v beseech_v the_o lord_n that_o he_o will_v be_v please_v for_o jesus_n christ_n sake_n to_o pardon_v my_o former_a sin_n and_o give_v i_o power_n to_o overcome_v my_o present_a corruption_n but_o yet_o alas_o all_o in_o vain_a for_o they_o do_v still_o remain_v with_o i_o min._n but_o do_v you_o believe_v that_o your_o former_a sin_n be_v pardon_v mat._n no_o sure_o sir_n i_o can_v believe_v that_o so_o so_o long_o as_o my_o present_a corruption_n do_v still_o remain_v unsubdued_a min._n weep_v not_o i_o pray_v you_o but_o consider_v that_o you_o have_v go_v a_o wrong_a way_n to_o work_v you_o will_v have_v your_o sin_n subdue_v before_o they_o be_v pardon_v whereas_o the_o lord_n do_v first_o pardon_n sin_n and_o then_o he_o give_v power_n against_o sin_n mat._n but_o sir_n i_o have_v think_v with_o myself_o that_o as_o when_o i_o be_v a_o child_n and_o have_v by_o the_o commit_n of_o any_o fault_n displease_v my_o father_n he_o will_v at_o my_o entreat_v forgive_v i_o upon_o condition_n that_o i_o do_v so_o no_o more_o but_o if_o i_o commit_v the_o like_a fault_n again_o than_o he_o will_v not_o forgive_v the_o former_a but_o reckon_v with_o i_o for_o they_o both_o even_o so_o i_o do_v conceive_v the_o lord_n will_v deal_v with_o i_o min._n but_o do_v not_o you_o tell_v i_o that_o you_o do_v beseech_v the_o lord_n to_o forgive_v you_o your_o sin_n for_o christ_n then_o you_o do_v not_o believe_v that_o god_n pardon_v your_o sin_n for_o christ_n sake_n but_o for_o your_o own_o sake_n not_o for_o christ_n obedience_n sake_n but_o for_o your_o own_o obedience_n sake_n mat._n indeed_o sir_n i_o can_v tell_v what_o to_o say_v to_o that_o min._n well_o neighbour_n mathias_n as_o you_o have_v beseech_v the_o lord_n to_o pardon_v and_o forgive_v you_o your_o sin_n for_o christ_n jesus_n sake_n do_v so_o still_o but_o withal_o believe_v that_o he_o have_v do_v so_o according_a to_o your_o petition_n yea_o and_o that_o absolute_o and_o not_o conditional_o as_o you_o have_v do_v and_o answerable_o as_o you_o do_v so_o you_o shall_v be_v sure_a to_o find_v and_o feel_v your_o sin_n mortify_v and_o subdue_v do_v but_o believe_v that_o you_o be_v wash_v pardon_n will_v be_v able_a to_o cleanse_v his_o heart_n from_o dead_a work_n for_o that_o faith_n which_o do_v lay_v hold_n on_o christ_n crucify_v say_v another_o godly_a divine_a do_v 292._o dyke_n on_o the_o sacrament_n p._n 292._o fetch_v a_o crucify_a virtue_n from_o he_o whereby_o the_o body_n of_o corruption_n be_v enfeeble_v and_o weaken_a mat._n o_o but_o sir_n i_o fear_v i_o shall_v not_o believe_v that_o my_o sin_n be_v pardon_v so_o long_o as_o they_o remain_v unsubdued_a min._n if_o you_o will_v not_o believe_v that_o your_o sin_n be_v pardon_v till_o they_o be_v quite_o subdue_v then_o will_v you_o not_o believe_v it_o whilst_o you_o live_v for_o so_o long_o as_o you_o live_v here_o you_o shall_v find_v and_o feel_v some_o remainder_n of_o sinful_a corruption_n unsubdued_a though_o you_o do_v believe_v and_o if_o you_o do_v not_o believe_v you_o shall_v not_o have_v they_o subdue_v at_o all_o by_o the_o sanctify_a spirit_n of_o christ_n indeed_o it_o be_v possible_a that_o after_o much_o strive_n against_o your_o corruption_n in_o your_o own_o strength_n you_o may_v see_v there_o be_v no_o strength_n in_o you_o to_o subdue_v they_o as_o you_o will_v and_o may_v thereupon_o go_v unto_o christ_n by_o prayer_n for_o grace_n and_o power_n to_o leave_v sin_n and_o do_v better_o and_o so_o live_v upon_o christ_n that_o you_o may_v live_v upon_o yourself_o i_o say_v you_o may_v go_v unto_o christ_n for_o power_n to_o do_v your_o work_n that_o so_o you_o may_v earn_v your_o wage_n and_o it_o be_v possible_a you_o may_v hereupon_o grow_v in_o legal_a righteousness_n as_o the_o stony_a and_o thorny_a ground_n seed_n spring_v up_o and_o increase_v much_o and_o come_v near_o unto_o maturity_n and_o yet_o this_o not_o be_v the_o work_n of_o the_o sanctify_a spirit_n of_o jesus_n christ_n wherefore_o i_o beseech_v you_o go_v not_o this_o way_n to_o work_v do_v not_o seek_v to_o have_v the_o righteousness_n of_o sanctification_n infuse_v god_n like_o unto_o thou_o that_o pardon_v iniquity_n and_o pass_v by_o the_o transgression_n of_o the_o remnant_n of_o his_o heritage_n he_o retain_v not_o his_o anger_n for_o ever_o because_o he_o delight_v in_o mercy_n here_o be_v the_o righteousness_n 18._o micah_n 7._o 18._o of_o justification_n and_o then_o in_o the_o next_o verse_n he_o proclaim_v the_o righteousness_n of_o except_o it_o be_v for_o joy_n for_o sure_o this_o fear_n be_v a_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n for_o ordinary_o after_o conviction_n he_o let_v into_o the_o heart_n of_o his_o elect_n such_o fear_n as_o these_o for_o although_o it_o be_v true_a there_o may_v be_v in_o a_o mere_a natural_a man_n certain_a natural_a fear_n arise_v from_o the_o accusation_n of_o his_o
