follow_v that_o all_o the_o care_n whereunto_o their_o conscience_n will_v draw_v they_o in_o their_o profession_n will_v be_v nothing_o else_o but_o a_o professsion_n of_o some_o particular_a tenet_n and_o practice_n for_o which_o they_o will_v strive_v as_o for_o life_n and_o death_n not_o that_o i_o think_v that_o any_o truth_n or_o righteous_a practice_n be_v right_o to_o be_v esteem_v or_o neglect_v but_o that_o all_o the_o theory_n of_o the_o world_n and_o all_o the_o performance_n that_o can_v be_v wrought_v in_o particular_a duty_n may_v be_v a_o matter_n of_o mere_a hypocrisy_n in_o the_o professor_n and_o nothing_o else_o but_o a_o occasion_n of_o strife_n and_o disturbance_n towards_o those_o to_o who_o our_o profession_n be_v address_v if_o the_o true_a aim_n of_o the_o holy_a profession_n be_v not_o mind_v the_o teach_v then_o of_o the_o aim_n of_o our_o profession_n by_o god_n blessing_n upon_o the_o word_n of_o his_o servant_n may_v rectify_v the_o purpose_n of_o the_o hearer_n in_o their_o profession_n and_o cure_v the_o first_o and_o fundamental_a cause_n of_o all_o our_o distemper_n and_o if_o once_o this_o radical_a cause_n be_v take_v away_o the_o secundary_a which_o be_v but_o a_o stream_n flow_v from_o that_o fountain_n will_v soon_o be_v dry_v up_o by_o the_o heat_n of_o true_a love_n and_o sincerity_n which_o will_v take_v possession_n of_o the_o affection_n of_o those_o that_o in_o the_o spirit_n follow_v jesus_n christ_n for_o as_o the_o second_o cause_n of_o our_o distemper_n viz._n the_o want_n of_o disease_n the_o remedy_n of_o the_o liberty_n some_o by_o the_o way_n and_o in_o the_o mean_n of_o christian_a authority_n but_o because_o neither_o of_o these_o for_o the_o most_o part_n be_v act_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o love_n to_o one_o another_o or_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o holiness_n to_o be_v separate_a from_o the_o world_n and_o from_o their_o own_o interest_n in_o what_o they_o do_v therefore_o they_o act_v nothing_o therefore_o to_o be_v sure_a of_o a_o blessing_n we_o must_v know_v and_o careful_o observe_v that_o which_o be_v most_o answerable_a to_o his_o will_n in_o thing_n belong_v to_o his_o worship_n 6._o now_o to_o know_v and_o observe_v this_o in_o the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n christ_n practice_n in_o the_o institution_n thereof_o so_o far_o as_o he_o will_v have_v we_o to_o imitate_v the_o same_o and_o his_o intention_n in_o command_v we_o to_o imitate_v he_o therein_o be_v to_o be_v consider_v 7._o the_o necessity_n of_o consider_v christ_n practice_n and_o intention_n in_o this_o matter_n do_v arise_v from_o the_o apostle_n commandment_n who_o do_v herein_o very_o distinct_o refer_v we_o unto_o christ_n himself_o for_o a_o warrant_n of_o that_o which_o be_v to_o be_v do_v say_v that_o in_o this_o matter_n he_o deliver_v that_o which_o he_o receive_v of_o the_o lord_n 1_o cor._n 11._o 23._o and_o that_o we_o ought_v to_o follow_v he_o so_o far_o as_o he_o be_v a_o follower_n of_o the_o lord_n ibid._n v._n 1._o 8._o therefore_o we_o be_v bind_v to_o look_v unto_o christ_n in_o the_o first_o place_n and_o to_o the_o apostle_n afterward_o with_o a_o reference_n unto_o the_o lord_n because_o final_o our_o faith_n must_v rest_v only_o in_o the_o lord_n as_o the_o object_n thereof_o and_o the_o end_n and_o use_v of_o the_o apostolical_a ministry_n be_v to_o call_v we_o unto_o communion_n with_o they_o that_o by_o they_o we_o may_v have_v communion_n with_o the_o father_n and_o with_o his_o son_n jesus_n christ_n 1_o joh._n 1._o 3_o for_o we_o be_v sure_a in_o the_o institution_n of_o his_o supper_n in_o that_o which_o be_v to_o be_v imitate_v be_v this_o first_o he_o take_v the_o bread_n and_o by_o give_v special_a thanks_o over_o it_o he_o separate_v it_o from_o the_o common_a to_o a_o holy_a use_n then_o he_o break_v it_o and_o give_v it_o to_o his_o disciple_n and_o command_v they_o to_o eat_v thereof_o second_o he_o take_v the_o cup_n which_o in_o like_a
