some_o part_n of_o the_o covenant_n but_o of_o the_o whole_a covenant_n and_o therefore_o must_v needs_o in_o its_o use_n and_o end_n have_v some_o reference_n to_o the_o whole_a good_a promise_v in_o the_o covenant_n but_o this_o i_o suppose_v will_v be_v grant_v by_o our_o opposer_n they_o general_o affirm_v that_o the_o special_a if_o not_o the_o only_a use_n and_o end_n of_o circumcision_n do_v refer_v and_o relate_v to_o the_o temporal_a part_n of_o the_o covenant_n or_o to_o the_o covenant_n as_o it_o be_v a_o temporal_a covenant_n and_o therefore_o second_o that_o it_o can_v have_v no_o other_o reference_n or_o can_v be_v of_o no_o other_o use_n with_o reference_n to_o these_o promise_n but_o only_o this_o viz._n to_o seal_v or_o assure_v the_o enjoyment_n of_o the_o good_a promise_v that_o god_n make_v a_o twofold_a covenant_n with_o abraham_n the_o one_o a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n the_o other_o a_o legal_a or_o temporal_a covenant_n and_o that_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n believer_n whether_o jew_n or_o gentile_n now_o though_o our_o opposite_n do_v thus_o various_o express_v themselves_o yet_o they_o all_o agree_v in_o the_o general_n that_o only_o temporal_a blessing_n do_v appertain_v to_o abraham_n natural_a seed_n as_o such_o and_o that_o spiritual_a blessing_n be_v whole_o or_o alone_o promise_v to_o abraham_n in_o reference_n to_o his_o spiritual_a or_o mystical_a seed_n and_o some_o add_v that_o the_o covenant_n as_o consist_v of_o temporal_a blessing_n be_v a_o typical_a covenant_n viz._n a_o covenant_n typify_a the_o gospel_n covenant_n under_o which_o believer_n now_o be_v though_o how_o to_o make_v sense_n of_o that_o notion_n especial_o themselves_o grant_v a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n be_v not_o establish_v with_o abraham_n with_o reference_n to_o himself_o and_o his_o spiritual_a seed_n will_n i_o judge_v be_v a_o matter_n of_o no_o little_a difficulty_n but_o i_o shall_v leave_v it_o to_o the_o person_n concern_v in_o it_o if_o any_o such_o yet_o there_o be_v and_o thus_o i_o have_v give_v a_o brief_a yet_o i_o suppose_v a_o full_a account_n of_o the_o notion_n and_o conception_n of_o our_o objector_n about_o the_o covenant_n now_o establish_v with_o abraham_n and_o his_o seed_n in_o their_o generation_n and_o come_v now_o to_o answer_v the_o objection_n propose_v and_o for_o answer_v to_o it_o i_o shall_v do_v these_o two_o thing_n first_o prove_v that_o there_o be_v no_o such_o real_a and_o specificla_n difference_n between_o these_o two_o covenant_n as_o the_o objector_n suppose_v and_o take_v for_o grant_v that_o there_o be_v secon_o show_v that_o notwithstanding_o the_o covenant_n make_v with_o abraham_n and_o that_o make_v with_o believer_n shall_v be_v real_o and_o specifical_o divers_a the_o one_o from_o the_o other_o yet_o upon_o supposal_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o what_o can_v be_v gainsay_v by_o our_o opposer_n unless_o they_o shall_v in_o express_a term_n contradict_v the_o apostle_n the_o second_o proposition_n may_v be_v true_a first_o for_o the_o first_o of_o these_o i_o shall_v do_v two_o thing_n first_o prove_v that_o this_o covenant_n that_o god_n enter_v with_o abraham_n and_o his_o seed_n in_o their_o generation_n be_v a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o in_o particular_a that_o this_o promise_n of_o that_o covenant_n wherein_o god_n engage_v himself_o to_o be_v a_o party_n themselves_o or_o of_o their_o parent_n therefore_o this_o covenant_n as_o establish_v with_o abraham_n and_o his_o natural_a seed_n can_v not_o be_v a_o mere_a temporal_a or_o legal_a
