conclude_v with_o the_o psalmist_n word_n psal_n 64._o 5_o 6_o 7_o 8_o 9_o they_o encourage_v themselves_o in_o a_o evil_a matter_n they_o commune_v of_o lay_v snare_n privy_o they_o say_v who_o shall_v see_v they_o they_o search_v out_o iniquity_n they_o accomplish_v a_o diligent_a search_n both_o the_o inward_a thought_n of_o every_o one_o of_o they_o and_o the_o heart_n be_v deep_a but_o god_n shall_v shoot_v at_o they_o with_o a_o arrow_n sudden_o shall_v they_o be_v wound_v so_o they_o shall_v make_v their_o own_o tongue_n to_o fall_v upon_o themselves_o all_o that_o see_v they_o first_o reason_n the_o present_a papal_a church_n of_o rome_n can_v possible_o prove_v herself_o to_o be_v the_o church_n of_o christ_n therefore_o she_o be_v not_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n the_o scripture_n and_o all_o other_o write_n depend_v on_o their_o church_n for_o their_o authority_n and_o therefore_o they_o must_v prove_v themselves_o to_o be_v the_o church_n without_o the_o help_n of_o any_o authentical_a or_o authoritative_a write_n which_o thing_n be_v impossible_a for_o they_o to_o do_v be_v thus_o divest_v of_o the_o help_n of_o all_o record_n as_o be_v more_o full_o show_v above_o there_o remain_v now_o nothing_o for_o they_o to_o lean_v upon_o but_o their_o own_o evidence_n or_o the_o tradition_n of_o their_o forefather_n not_o that_o which_o be_v contain_v in_o any_o record_n but_o only_o that_o which_o have_v be_v deliver_v by_o word_n from_o man_n to_o man_n etc._n etc._n but_o alas_o what_o tradition_n be_v this_o they_o speak_v of_o not_o the_o tradition_n of_o the_o church_n to_o we_o till_o the_o person_n deliver_v the_o same_o be_v find_v to_o be_v the_o church_n which_o as_o before_o they_o can_v be_v find_v to_o be_v without_o the_o scripture_n and_o for_o their_o own_o evidence_n that_o may_v not_o prove_v they_o to_o be_v the_o church_n to_o those_o that_o contend_v with_o they_o it_o can_v avail_v they_o since_o each_o party_n contend_v in_o this_o case_n will_n and_o may_v as_o reasonable_o as_o the_o papist_n look_v that_o their_o own_o testimony_n shall_v be_v as_o available_a for_o these_o as_o the_o other_o for_o those_o it_o be_v as_o vain_a here_o to_o tell_v we_o they_o be_v the_o church_n because_o the_o true_a mark_n of_o the_o church_n do_v agree_v to_o the_o papal_a church_n and_o none_o else_o for_o first_o the_o true_a mark_n of_o the_o church_n be_v confess_v by_o the_o papist_n to_o be_v find_v in_o the_o scripture_n which_o scripture_n they_o receive_v not_o but_o from_o the_o authority_n of_o their_o church_n yea_o their_o present_a church_n so_o query_n that_o till_o the_o scripture_n can_v tell_v we_o authoritative_o which_o be_v the_o mark_n of_o the_o church_n no_o church_n can_v be_v find_v by_o those_o mark_n nor_o can_v the_o scripture_n tell_v we_o of_o those_o mark_n authoritative_o till_o rome_n as_o a_o church_n give_v it_o we_o for_o god_n word_n so_o than_o rome_n must_v be_v find_v the_o church_n before_o there_o be_v any_o mark_n to_o find_v she_o by_o which_o be_v impossible_a as_o for_o example_n to_o clear_v this_o matter_n further_o the_o papist_n say_v that_o holiness_n be_v a_o mark_n of_o the_o true_a church_n but_o now_o set_v the_o holy_a scripture_n aside_o and_o how_o shall_v i_o know_v holiness_n from_o unholiness_n without_o the_o scripture_n here_o the_o papist_n be_v in_o a_o strait_a rather_o than_o they_o will_v let_v the_o law_n of_o god_n or_o the_o scripture_n have_v the_o pre-eminence_n do_v answer_v thus_o that_o we_o have_v a_o
