thing_n of_o god_n either_o to_o justify_v or_o condemn_v and_o whereas_o in_o the_o former_a proposition_n there_o seem_v a_o restraint_n make_v of_o the_o work_n of_o grace_n in_o a_o infant_n over_o there_o be_v in_o other_o person_n by_o say_v only_o so_o far_o as_o be_v necessary_a to_o union_n with_o christ_n and_o justification_n to_o life_n thereby_o now_o for_o answer_v to_o this_o we_o shall_v first_o consider_v what_o in_o this_o sense_n be_v to_o be_v understand_v by_o christ_n and_o second_o what_o by_o union_n with_o christ_n so_o as_o to_o be_v justify_v thereby_o by_o of_o grace_n unite_n and_o knit_n of_o the_o heart_n and_o christ_n togegether_o as_o aforesaid_a and_o this_o i_o understand_v to_o be_v that_o effectual_a and_o substantial_a union_n with_o christ_n to_o justification_n of_o life_n which_o the_o word_n of_o god_n approve_v of_o that_o most_o decide_v all_o difference_n in_o matter_n of_o religion_n for_o justification_n to_o life_n ever_o presuppose_v apprehension_n of_o christ_n as_o the_o subject_n of_o life_n and_o a_o true_a application_n of_o the_o same_o by_o faith_n as_o aforesaid_a the_o gospel_n hold_v forth_o no_o other_o justification_n to_o salvation_n but_o what_o be_v or_o faith_n and_o faith_n ever_o presuppose_v the_o party_n knowledge_n of_o the_o thing_n believe_v rom._n 10.14_o heb._n 11.6_o now_o let_v this_o be_v well_o examine_v by_o the_o rule_n of_o truth_n &_o then_o let_v the_o reader_n judge_n how_o capable_a infant_n be_v of_o union_n with_o christ_n and_o justification_n to_o life_n thereby_o of_o child_n in_o the_o womb_n or_o one_o that_o be_v new_o bear_v to_o have_v faith_n and_o so_o capable_a of_o a_o seal_n as_o to_o be_v confirm_v by_o baptism_n i_o can_v conceive_v but_o rather_o think_v it_o to_o be_v great_a weakness_n in_o such_o that_o shall_v so_o presuppose_v or_o affirm_v for_o it_o be_v a_o doctrine_n that_o confirm_v the_o opinion_n of_o such_o as_o hold_v faith_n to_o be_v natural_a and_o in_o a_o man_n from_o the_o womb_n and_o as_o some_o say_v they_o have_v be_v believer_n ever_o since_o they_o be_v bear_v and_o so_o it_o be_v here_o for_o when_o a_o infant_n be_v once_o baptize_v it_o go_v ever_o afterward_o for_o a_o believer_n as_o well_o as_o any_o that_o be_v never_o so_o clear_a in_o the_o faith_n unless_o he_o come_v to_o commit_v such_o
