cause_n it_o will_v convert_v he_o but_o he_o must_v not_o receive_v for_o that_o will_v not_o convert_v he_o now_o consider_v this_o and_o if_o there_o be_v validity_n in_o it_o here_o lie_v the_o point_n with_o he_o a_o man_n must_v not_o do_v that_o wherein_o he_o shall_v sin_v if_o it_o will_v do_v he_o no_o good_a but_o he_o may_v do_v that_o wherein_o he_o sin_n so_o long_o as_o it_o will_v be_v beneficial_a to_o he_o thus_o will_v mortal_a man_n who_o be_v but_o dust_n advance_v his_o benefit_n above_o divine_a authority_n and_o as_o if_o he_o be_v his_o own_o rule_n and_o end_n that_o hereby_o be_v the_o way_n of_o god_n own_o work_v special_a grace_n also_o yet_o most_o free_o as_o be_v suitable_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o it_o there_o be_v two_o thing_n seem_v to_o i_o clear_a in_o the_o gospel_n 1._o that_o the_o same_o faith_n which_o serve_v to_o admit_v man_n to_o be_v church-member_n serve_v to_o admit_v they_o to_o the_o communion_n 2_o that_o a_o faith_n that_o fall_v short_a of_o save_v to_o wit_n the_o very_a receive_n of_o the_o apostle_n doctrine_n serve_v to_o make_v man_n disciple_n and_o add_v they_o to_o the_o church_n from_o which_o foundation_n i_o appeal_v to_o the_o judicious_a for_o the_o solidity_n of_o that_o distinction_n of_o a_o outward_a and_o inward_a conversion_n which_o under_o favour_n i_o will_v express_v thus_o there_o be_v a_o conversion_n of_o assent_n to_o believe_v in_o god_n and_o jesus_n christ_n in_o opposition_n to_o all_o other_o religion_n which_o alone_o reach_v so_o far_o as_o to_o engage_v one_o to_o the_o covenant_n and_o this_o i_o take_v it_o be_v necessary_o pray_v requisite_a to_o adult_v church_n membership_n and_o both_o the_o sacrament_n and_o there_o be_v a_o conversion_n of_o consent_n in_o the_o embrace_n this_o god_n as_o our_o chief_a good_a and_o accept_v of_o jesus_n christ_n as_o our_o lord_n and_o saviour_n so_o as_o to_o prefer_v his_o interest_n in_o our_o heart_n above_o the_o flesh_n world_n and_o devil_n and_o this_o conversion_n though_o it_o be_v require_v as_o it_o be_v to_o the_o right_a performance_n of_o every_o save_a duty_n yet_o be_v not_o necessary_o pre-required_n to_o the_o sacrament_n or_o church-communion_n indeed_o i_o think_v as_o to_o the_o duty_n hereof_o a_o man_n may_v and_o be_v to_o engage_v himself_o before_o it_o be_v perform_v yet_o so_o or_o in_o such_o term_n as_o the_o tender_a spirit_n may_v not_o be_v bring_v in_o fear_n of_o a_o lie_n but_o as_o to_o the_o grace_n itself_o as_o it_o be_v the_o free_a gift_n do_v give_v it_o the_o denomination_n of_o a_o confirm_v or_o edify_v ordinance_n it_o be_v to_o be_v take_v in_o regard_n of_o the_o visible_a church_n and_o not_o in_o regard_n of_o the_o
