rule_n of_o christianity_n when_o their_o faith_n and_o discipline_n be_v both_o right_a so_o that_o they_o make_v a_o very_a considerable_a part_n of_o the_o visible_a church_n and_o their_o depravedness_n in_o moral_n be_v so_o far_o from_o be_v justify_v by_o the_o principle_n they_o profess_v that_o on_o the_o contrary_a nothing_o be_v more_o strict_o enjoin_v by_o their_o principle_n than_o piety_n and_o uprightness_n of_o life_n indeed_o this_o be_v the_o first_o and_o most_o absolute_o necessary_a ingredient_n to_o interest_n the_o name_n of_o god_n for_o the_o deliverance_n of_o a_o wicked_a people_n for_o as_o to_o those_o who_o have_v either_o no_o christian_a faith_n or_o worship_n at_o all_o or_o so_o corrupt_a that_o it_o be_v as_o bad_a or_o worse_o than_o none_o so_o that_o they_o be_v neither_o part_n of_o the_o visible_a nor_o catholic_n church_n for_o such_o as_o these_o i_o say_v to_o fall_v into_o the_o extreme_a misery_n without_o any_o deliverance_n from_o it_o be_v no_o

reflection_n at_o all_o upon_o god_n almighty_a see_v that_o he_o have_v never_o make_v any_o covenant_n with_o or_o promise_v to_o they_o that_o he_o will_v appear_v on_o their_o behalf_n nay_o he_o have_v rather_o testify_v the_o contrary_a namely_o that_o he_o will_v pour_v out_o his_o wrath_n upon_o such_o heathen_a as_o know_v he_o not_o and_o upon_o such_o family_n as_o call_v not_o on_o his_o name_n so_o that_o how_o far_o soever_o common_a providence_n may_v be_v concern_v upon_o account_n of_o their_o be_v creature_n to_o free_v they_o from_o utter_a misery_n in_o this_o life_n it_o be_v very_o plain_a that_o his_o holy_a name_n be_v not_o at_o all_o interest_v in_o the_o matter_n but_o now_o that_o it_o may_v be_v sometime_o concern_v to_o deliver_v a_o church_n or_o nation_n who_o faith_n profession_n and_o worship_n be_v good_a and_o true_a though_o the_o practice_n of_o its_o member_n be_v wicked_a be_v equal_o plain_a too_o for_o see_v such_o faith_n and_o worship_n be_v considerable_a duty_n and_o must_v therefore_o render_v those_o that_o have_v they_o amiable_a in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n how_o can_v he_o evidence_n his_o respect_n to_o they_o unless_o it_o be_v by_o some_o such_o temporal_a deliverance_n beside_o if_o this_o church_n be_v of_o large_a extent_n utter_o to_o erase_v it_o from_o the_o face_n of_o the_o earth_n be_v scarce_o consistent_a with_o the_o promise_n that_o be_v make_v of_o its_o amplitude_n in_o the_o latter_a day_n and_o that_o god_n will_v in_o all_o place_n have_v some_o that_o shall_v fear_v and_o serve_v he_o nay_o such_o severe_a proceed_n against_o a_o people_n that_o retain_v so_o much_o of_o religion_n as_o a_o orthodox_n faith_n and_o regular_n worship_n amount_v to_o will_v prejudice_n the_o rest_n of_o the_o world_n against_o that_o true_a faith_n which_o they_o profess_v for_o see_v it_o be_v natural_a though_o unjust_a to_o judge_v of_o the_o truth_n or_o falsehood_n of_o any_o
