the_o person_n that_o have_v no_o baptism_n and_o so_o no_o church-communion_n then_o and_o many_o of_o the_o person_n that_o have_v no_o baptism_n after_o profession_n of_o faith_n now_o and_o so_o the_o reason_n of_o non-communion_n vary_v according_o those_o in_o the_o primitive_a time_n that_o have_v no_o baptism_n and_o so_o no_o church-communion_n have_v no_o faith_n nor_o make_v confession_n of_o any_o so_o that_o the_o reason_n of_o the_o primitive_a saint_n non-communion_n with_o such_o be_v not_o simple_o their_o want_n of_o baptism_n but_o their_o want_n of_o faith_n and_o the_o same_o non-qualification_n now_o will_v be_v a_o like_a reason_n unto_o we_o of_o non-communion_n but_o where_o person_n have_v faith_n and_o this_o faith_n visible_a in_o their_o profession_n and_o conversation_n and_o have_v also_o the_o doctrine_n of_o baptism_n in_o the_o spiritual_a part_n of_o it_o both_o in_o judgement_n and_o practice_n and_o be_v confident_a they_o practical_o have_v it_o too_o in_o the_o literal_a part_n which_o be_v the_o case_n of_o the_o godly_a pedobaptist_n there_o the_o difference_n be_v exceed_o broad_a and_o large_a between_o they_o and_o those_o unbaptised_a person_n with_o who_o the_o primitive_a saint_n have_v no_o communion_n and_o so_o the_o same_o reason_n of_o non-communion_n will_v not_o suit_n both_o if_o the_o primitive_a saint_n have_v no_o communion_n with_o such_o as_o the_o godly_a pedobaptist_n it_o be_v not_o because_o they_o judge_v such_o unworthy_a their_o communion_n but_o because_o there_o be_v none_o such_o then_o in_o be_v that_o particular_a difference_n between_o saint_n and_o saint_n about_o infant_n baptism_n not_o be_v then_o on_o foot_n but_o if_o there_o have_v i_o shall_v offer_v reason_n presen_o to_o induce_v we_o to_o believe_v that_o communion_n with_o they_o will_v not_o have_v be_v refuse_v by_o the_o best_a of_o saint_n then_o in_o be_v on_o that_o ground_n in_o the_o mean_a time_n let_v it_o be_v consider_v that_o we_o have_v no_o example_n of_o the_o primitive_a saint_n refuse_v communion_n with_o such_o as_o the_o godly_a pedobaptist_n be_v and_o therefore_o by_o their_o example_n can_v be_v oblige_v to_o refuse_v communion_n with_o they_o their_o example_n of_o non-communion_n with_o unbaptised_a unbeliever_n be_v foreign_a and_o irrelative_a to_o our_o case_n and_o question_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v altogether_o impertinent_a in_o its_o allegation_n but_o if_o there_o be_v or_o have_v be_v any_o such_o in_o the_o primitive_a time_n as_o the_o godly_a pedobaptist_n be_v yet_o that_o we_o may_v be_v confident_a that_o the_o best_a of_o saint_n in_o those_o time_n will_v not_o have_v refuse_v communion_n with_o they_o i_o shall_v offer_v these_o reason_n 1._o we_o have_v no_o approve_a example_n of_o their_o refuse_v communion_n with_o any_o acknowledge_v godly_a christian_n whatsoever_o for_o any_o error_n in_o judgement_n or_o error_n in_o practice_n proceed_v mere_o from_o a_o error_n in_o judgement_n and_o therefore_o this_o suppose_a error_n of_o the_o godly_a pedobaptist_n be_v but_o of_o that_o nature_n we_o have_v no_o reason_n to_o think_v that_o they_o will_v have_v find_v hard_a measure_n if_o they_o have_v then_o live_v among_o they_o than_o all_o other_o err_v upon_o like_a term_n do_v and_o here_o let_v it_o be_v observe_v note_v that_o our_o separation_n of_o godly_a from_o godly_a upon_o account_n of_o such_o error_n as_o be_v not_o repugnant_a to_o godliness_n be_v so_o far_o from_o be_v a_o imitation_n of_o the_o example_n of_o the_o primitive_a saint_n as_o that_o we_o have_v the_o example_n of_o the_o primitive_a saint_n point_v blank_a against_o it_o which_o may_v be_v a_o good_a argument_n to_o condemn_v but_o by_o no_o mean_n to_o justify_v our_o separation_n 2._o when_o there_o be_v any_o thing_n stir_v among_o the_o primitive_a saint_n that_o do_v but_o tend_v to_o or_o look_v towards_o a_o separation_n upon_o account_n of_o such_o error_n as_o be_v not_o repugnant_a to_o godliness_n it_o â—id_v not_o pass_v without_o check_n and_o discountenance_v from_o the_o apostle_n as_o be_v visible_a in_o the_o case_n of_o difference_n about_o circumcision_n day_n and_o meat_n of_o which_o more_o afterward_o and_o therefore_o the_o suppose_a error_n of_o the_o pedobaptist_n be_v but_o of_o the_o same_o nature_n that_o be_v consistent_a with_o godliness_n as_o well_o as_o they_o there_o be_v no_o reason_n to_o think_v it_o will_v have_v cast_v they_o out_o of_o communion_n then_o when_o the_o look_n of_o such_o a_o thing_n in_o other_o like_a case_n be_v so_o distasteful_a to_o the_o holy_a apostle_n 3._o when_o the_o apostle_n come_v to_o lay_v down_o and_o ennumerate_v the_o cause_n and_o thing_n for_o which_o communion_n with_o a_o professor_n of_o christianity_n be_v to_o be_v refuse_v there_o be_v none_o of_o they_o of_o a_o low_a nature_n or_o less_o demerit_n than_o such_o as_o do_v exclude_v a_o man_n the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n as_o be_v evident_a by_o compare_v 1_o cor_n 5.11_o with_o chap._n 6.9_o 10._o as_o by_o the_o mere_a recite_v of_o the_o word_n will_v appear_v 1_o cor_n 5.11_o but_o now_o i_o have_v write_v unto_o you_o not_o to_o keep_v company_n if_o any_o man_n that_o be_v call_v a_o brother_n be_v a_o fornicator_n or_o thing_n serious_o to_o be_v lay_v to_o heart_n by_o they_o that_o be_v accessary_a to_o the_o keep_n up_o a_o separation_n contrary_a to_o the_o doctrine_n custom_n and_o example_n of_o the_o primitive_a time_n three_o argument_n for_o separation_n run_v thus_o none_o be_v in_o a_o regular_a capacity_n of_o hold_v church_n communion_n with_o a_o particular_a church_n who_o be_v not_o regular_o visible_a member_n of_o the_o universal_a church_n but_o none_o but_o such_o as_o be_v baptize_v after_o faith_n which_o the_o pedobaptist_n be_v not_o be_v regular_o visible_a member_n of_o the_o universal_a church_n therefore_o etc._n etc._n answ_n that_o none_o be_v in_o a_o regular_a capacity_n of_o communion_n in_o a_o particular_a church_n who_o be_v not_o visible_o member_n of_o the_o universal_a church_n i_o ready_o grant_v and_o as_o to_o that_o clause_n which_o speak_v of_o man_n be_v regular_o visible_a member_n of_o the_o universal_a church_n i_o say_v thus_o much_o that_o none_o can_v be_v visible_o member_n of_o the_o universal_a church_n but_o so_o far_o as_o they_o be_v so_o they_o be_v regular_o so_o for_o no_o irregularity_n whatsoever_o as_o such_o can_v contribute_v towards_o the_o visibility_n of_o a_o man_n church-membership_a but_o obscure_a it_o it_o be_v very_o true_a that_o there_o may_v be_v more_o of_o regâ—larnesse_n in_o the_o visibility_n of_o sum_n universal_a church-membership_a then_o in_o other_o and_o so_o proportionable_o more_o of_o visiblenesse_n but_o where_o ever_o there_o be_v this_o visiblenesse_n in_o a_o great_a or_o lesser_a degree_n there_o be_v so_o much_o regularnesse_n of_o that_o visibility_n have_v say_v thus_o much_o by_o way_n of_o concession_n to_o the_o major_a proposition_n and_o that_o much_o for_o the_o explication_n of_o a_o impertinent_a expression_n touch_v the_o regular_a visibility_n of_o universal_a church-membership_a i_o come_v now_o to_o deny_v the_o minor_a proposition_n which_o do_v affirm_v that_o none_o but_o such_o as_o be_v baptize_v after_o faith_n
be_v imagine_v to_o be_v so_o essential_a to_o communion_n as_o union_n in_o all_o body_n whether_o natural_a mystical_a or_o political_a communion_n of_o part_n flow_v from_o union_n with_o the_o whole_a christ_n be_v the_o common_a head_n of_o christian_n and_o centre_n of_o union_n hence_o it_o be_v that_o all_o that_o be_v unite_v to_o he_o be_v unite_v one_o to_o another_o or_o according_a to_o the_o apostle_n phrase_n be_v member_n one_o of_o another_o rom_n 12.5_o and_o be_v so_o communion_n in_o give_v and_o receive_v mutual_a help_n be_v the_o natural_a effect_n and_o common_a right_n of_o such_o union_n it_o will_v be_v monstrous_a in_o nature_n and_o can_v it_o be_v otherwise_o in_o grace_n for_o one_o member_n of_o the_o same_o body_n to_o deny_v the_o communication_n with_o the_o church_n at_o such_o time_n as_o his_o union_n with_o it_o be_v not_o deny_v the_o apostle_n command_v to_o withdraw_v from_o every_o brother_n that_o walk_v disorderly_a not_o work_v at_o all_o but_o walk_v as_o a_o busybody_n and_o yet_o during_o the_o time_n of_o this_o withdraw_a he_o will_v have_v such_o a_o one_o to_o be_v admonish_v as_o a_o brother_n and_o not_o count_v as_o a_o enemy_n and_o what_o be_v this_o less_o than_o to_o acknowledge_v he_o as_o yet_o a_o brother_n in_o the_o universal_a church_n and_o yet_o to_o deny_v he_o communion_n in_o their_o particular_a society_n 2_o thes_n 3_o 6-15_a answ_n when_o such_o scandal_n in_o life_n or_o doctrine_n be_v find_v in_o a_o person_n that_o have_v be_v own_v for_o one_o of_o christ_n church_n as_o do_v so_o far_o contradict_v that_o christian_n profession_n by_o which_o he_o be_v first_o receive_v into_o communion_n with_o the_o church_n as_o to_o give_v just_a ground_n of_o suspicion_n that_o there_o be_v never_o that_o internal_a union_n with_o christ_n and_o his_o church_n which_o such_o profession_n do_v seem_v to_o import_v or_o if_o there_o be_v that_o it_o have_v be_v since_o dissolve_v by_o such_o a_o offensive_a walk_n as_o be_v just_o suspect_v to_o be_v inconsistent_a with_o true_a grace_n i_o say_v while_o thing_n be_v in_o such_o a_o doubtful_a &_o suspicious_a posture_n and_o in_o a_o way_n of_o ripen_v for_o a_o final_a judgement_n of_o the_o church_n about_o his_o cut_n off_o such_o a_o carriage_n of_o the_o church_n towards_o such_o a_o delinquent_n seem_v most_o suitable_a as_o by_o which_o he_o shall_v be_v declare_v neither_o clear_o on_o nor_o clear_o off_o the_o church_n but_o hang_v in_o suspense_n as_o namely_o by_o suspend_v he_o communion_n as_o one_o go_v off_o the_o church_n if_o not_o recover_v and_o yet_o to_o be_v admonish_v as_o a_o brother_n not_o yet_o total_o cast_v off_o and_o this_o seem_v clear_o to_o be_v the_o case_n of_o those_o who_o the_o apostolical_a rule_n in_o 2_o thes_n 3_o 6-15_a concern_v but_o then_o this_o will_v not_o be_v find_v of_o force_n against_o the_o admission_n of_o such_o godly_a pedobaptist_n to_o church-communion_n who_o hold_v their_o suppose_a error_n upon_o such_o term_n as_o do_v not_o at_o all_o render_v their_o spiritual_a and_o internal_a union_n with_o christ_n &_o and_o of_o public_a scandal_n to_o those_o without_o as_o well_o as_o those_o within_o the_o church_n and_o not_o matter_n of_o doubtful_a disputation_n among_o good_a christian_n as_o the_o other_o thing_n be_v for_o such_o be_v not_o work_v and_o play_v the_o busie-bodye_n 1_o thes_n 4.11_o 12._o 1_o tim_n 5.13_o 14._o 1_o pet_n 4.15_o which_o yet_o be_v the_o disorder_n precise_o for_o which_o the_o apostle_n enjoin_v withdraw_v from_o in_o 2_o thes_n 3._o yea_o it_o be_v a_o evil_a of_o that_o nature_n and_o so_o contradictious_a to_o the_o christian_a profession_n that_o according_a to_o no_o marvel_n if_o not_o meet_v to_o be_v continue_v in_o communion_n when_o the_o profession_n and_o conversation_n the_o only_a visible_a witness_n of_o internal_a union_n be_v render_v invalid_a by_o so_o mighty_a a_o contradiction_n but_o what_o be_v this_o to_o the_o godly_a pedobaptist_n case_n who_o suppose_a error_n be_v not_o of_o a_o moral_a nature_n nor_o of_o public_a scandal_n to_o those_o without_o nor_o such_o as_o do_v invalidate_v the_o testimony_n of_o their_o profession_n and_o conversation_n as_o witness_v their_o internal_a union_n with_o christ_n and_o his_o church_n nor_o so_o much_o as_o render_v it_o doubtful_a nor_o just_o to_o be_v suspect_v but_o a_o matter_n of_o doubtful_a disputation_n among_o many_o of_o those_o that_o be_v true_o godly_a and_o not_o of_o least_o discern_v in_o spiritual_a affair_n obj._n 2._o it_o may_v be_v yet_o further_o object_v that_o though_o its_o true_a that_o membership_n with_o christ_n and_o in_o the_o church_n universal_a give_v a_o remote_a right_n to_o communion_n in_o particular_a church_n yet_o none_o can_v have_v a_o immediate_a
be_v regular_o visible_a member_n of_o the_o universal_a church_n and_o do_v affirm_v that_o the_o godly_a pedobaptist_n be_v visible_o member_n of_o the_o universal_a church_n though_o not_o baptize_v after_o profession_n of_o faith_n and_o be_v so_o have_v right_a to_o particular_a church-membership_a whatever_o it_o be_v that_o give_v we_o ground_n to_o judge_v any_o of_o the_o pedobaptist_n godly_a or_o man_n fear_v god_n make_v their_o universal_a church-membership_a visible_a for_o there_o be_v no_o godly_a man_n or_o holy_a man_n who_o be_v not_o member_n of_o christ_n body_n and_o consequent_o for_o the_o same_o reason_n for_o which_o we_o judge_v any_o godly_a we_o must_v judge_v they_o of_o the_o body_n or_o church_n of_o christ_n if_o we_o do_v but_o know_v and_o understand_v what_o we_o judge_v but_o touch_v the_o visibility_n of_o the_o universal_a church-membership_a of_o the_o godly_a pedobaptist_n and_o of_o their_o right_n to_o communion_n in_o particular_a church_n thereby_o i_o shall_v have_v occasion_n to_o speak_v more_o particular_o and_o full_o in_o my_o first_o argument_n for_o general_a communion_n among_o saint_n and_o therefore_o shall_v say_v no_o more_o of_o it_o here_o but_o refer_v you_o thither_o four_o argument_n for_o separation_n stand_v thus_o if_o according_a to_o gospel_n order_n all_o christ_n disciple_n ought_v first_o to_o be_v baptize_v before_o they_o be_v admit_v unto_o church-communion_n than_o the_o godly_a pedobaptistâ—_n although_o the_o disciple_n of_o christ_n not_o be_v baptize_v can_v be_v admit_v to_o such_o communion_n without_o breach_n of_o gospel_n order_n but_o according_a to_o gospel_n order_n all_o christ_n disciple_n ought_v first_o to_o be_v baptize_v before_o they_o be_v admit_v to_o church-communion_n by_o the_o anabaptist_n without_o any_o breach_n of_o gospel_n order_n on_o their_o part_n that_o do_v so_o admit_v they_o and_o therefore_o i_o distinguish_v upon_o that_o phrase_n without_o breach_n of_o gospel_n order_v mention_v in_o the_o close_a of_o the_o consequence_n of_o the_o major_a proposition_n as_o it_o relate_v to_o the_o admission_n of_o the_o godly_a pedobaptist_n to_o communion_n 1._o as_o it_o respect_v the_o person_n themselves_o to_o be_v admit_v the_o proposition_n be_v true_a upon_o supposition_n that_o the_o godly_a pedobaptist_n shall_v prove_v not_o to_o be_v baptize_v than_o it_o will_v be_v a_o breach_n of_o the_o gospel_n order_n aforesaid_a on_o their_o part_n to_o claim_v church-communion_n before_o they_o be_v perform_v other_o christian_a duty_n before_o they_o be_v baptize_v but_o in_o this_o that_o they_o omit_v baptism_n after_o the_o proper_a season_n of_o it_o and_o it_o do_v not_o follow_v that_o
