of_o the_o apostle_n but_o rather_o as_o it_o be_v most_o probable_a to_o strengthen_v his_o faith_n that_o he_o may_v be_v the_o better_o enable_v to_o go_v through_o with_o a_o difficult_a work_n for_o we_o find_v our_o saviour_n tell_v he_o in_o the_o two_o follow_a verse_n be_v the_o 18_o and_o 19_o of_o the_o last_o of_o st._n john_n what_o he_o be_v to_o suffer_v for_o his_o sake_n etc._n etc._n so_o that_o it_o be_v very_o reasonable_a to_o suppose_v that_o our_o saviour_n know_v his_o weakness_n from_o his_o former_a deny_v he_o may_v upon_o that_o account_n lie_v a_o more_o strict_a command_n upon_o he_o than_o any_o of_o the_o rest_n beside_o it_o be_v not_o unreasonable_a to_o suppose_v from_o those_o word_n of_o our_o saviour_n viz._n simon_n son_n of_o ionas_n love_v thou_o i_o which_o be_v as_o oft_o repeat_v as_o his_o bide_v he_o feed_v his_o sheep_n may_v be_v to_o upbraid_v he_o for_o his_o former_a deny_v he_o whereby_o he_o may_v take_v notice_n he_o have_v give_v more_o than_o ordinary_a which_o indeed_o be_v very_o true_a and_o i_o think_v the_o reason_n as_o plain_a for_o as_o i_o before_o observe_v our_o saviour_n well_o know_v his_o faith_n want_v his_o special_a assistance_n take_v more_o than_o ordinary_a care_n that_o his_o faith_n may_v be_v agreeable_a to_o his_o confession_n which_o indeed_o be_v the_o rock_n our_o saviour_n mean_v and_o to_o that_o purpose_n we_o read_v in_o the_o 22._o of_o st._n luke_n the_o 31._o and_o 32._o verse_n and_o the_o lord_n say_v simon_n simon_n behold_v satan_n have_v desire_v to_o have_v you_o that_o he_o may_v sift_v you_o as_o wheat_n but_o i_o have_v pray_v for_o thou_o that_o thy_o faith_n fail_v not_o and_o when_o thou_o be_v convert_v strengthen_v thy_o brethren_n by_o which_o word_n we_o find_v he_o be_v not_o as_o yet_o convert_v nor_o indeed_o any_o of_o they_o until_o after_o the_o resurrection_n for_o as_o our_o saviour_n have_v foretell_v matthew_n the_o 26._o verse_n the_o 31._o i_o
