heart_n by_o faith_n and_o he_o will_v give_v they_o a_o inheritance_n among_o they_o that_o be_v sanctify_v by_o faith_n it_o may_v be_v call_v the_o most_o holy_a faith_n in_o these_o two_o respect_n first_o consider_v the_o operation_n and_o effect_n it_o have_v upon_o the_o heart_n and_o life_n of_o they_o in_o who_o it_o be_v it_o make_v they_o a_o holy_a people_n beyond_o all_o the_o people_n in_o the_o world_n and_o then_o upon_o this_o account_n too_o as_o to_o the_o uhimate_a effect_n of_o it_o that_o it_o admit_v we_o into_o the_o most_o holy_a place_n you_o know_v the_o holy_a of_o holies_n in_o the_o temple_n be_v a_o type_n of_o heaven_n and_o jesus_n christ_n be_v say_v to_o enter_v into_o the_o holy_a of_o holies_n that_o be_v into_o heaven_n now_o this_o do_v admit_v we_o into_o the_o most_o holy_a place_n where_o the_o most_o holy_a god_n be_v say_v the_o apostle_n have_v therefore_o boldness_n to_o enter_v into_o the_o holy_a by_o the_o blood_n of_o faith_n that_o be_v so_o good_a in_o it_o self_n a_o faith_n that_o do_v so_o much_o good_a to_o we_o and_o which_o be_v better_o that_o make_v we_o so_o good_a for_o it_o be_v much_o better_a to_o be_v make_v good_a than_o to_o have_v good_a do_v unto_o we_o and_o belove_v what_o will_v it_o avail_v we_o if_o god_n shall_v do_v we_o good_a all_o our_o day_n if_o we_o be_v not_o make_v good_a if_o we_o shall_v have_v the_o good_a of_o health_n and_o wealth_n and_o long_a life_n and_o yet_o not_o be_v make_v good_a all_o this_o while_n it_o avail_v we_o not_o now_o this_o be_v the_o salvation_n now_o to_o say_v i_o will_v keep_v faith_n i_o will_v only_o part_v with_o a_o little_a profession_n it_o be_v all_o one_o in_o scripture_n as_o to_o part_v with_o faith_n itself_o for_o why_o the_o scripture_n faith_n if_o thou_o believe_v with_o thy_o heart_n and_o confess_v with_o thy_o mouth_n thou_o shall_v be_v save_v so_o that_o as_o long_o as_o faith_n continue_v profession_n be_v to_o continue_v or_o there_o be_v no_o salvation_n faith_n without_o profession_n will_v do_v no_o more_o for_o you_o than_o profession_n without_o faith_n therefore_o observe_v what_o the_o who_o name_n i_o have_v preach_v to_o you_o that_o i_o have_v preach_v the_o way_n of_o the_o lord_n sincere_o and_o faithful_o as_o i_o have_v receive_v of_o the_o lord_n by_o the_o teach_n of_o his_o spirit_n through_o the_o word_n i_o therefore_o beseech_v and_o entreat_v you_o out_o of_o that_o hearty_a love_n i_o bear_v to_o you_o and_o that_o affectionate_a care_n i_o have_v for_o you_o that_o as_o you_o tender_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n your_o own_o peace_n here_o and_o eternal_a happiness_n hereafter_o and_o the_o spiritual_a and_o eternal_a good_a of_o other_o that_o you_o will_v before_o record_v therefore_o i_o will_v sum_v up_o the_o whole_a text_n in_o this_o point_n doct._n the_o people_n of_o god_n that_o have_v such_o a_o multitude_n of_o example_n of_o holy_a man_n and_o woman_n set_v before_o they_o shall_v prepare_v themselves_o to_o run_v the_o spiritual_a race_n with_o more_o patience_n and_o cheerfulness_n there_o be_v two_o thing_n in_o this_o doctrine_n the_o encouragement_n and_o the_o duty_n i_o shall_v open_v both_o with_o respect_n to_o the_o circumstance_n of_o the_o text._n first_o the_o encouragement_n a_o multitude_n of_o example_n or_o as_o in_o the_o text_n see_v we_o be_v compass_v about_o with_o so_o great_a a_o cloud_n of_o witness_n mark_v here_o be_v witness_n a_o great_a cloud_n of_o witness_n and_o these_o compass_v we_o round_o about_o first_o here_o be_v witness_n by_o that_o term_n we_o be_v to_o understand_v those_o worthy_a saint_n mention_v and_o reckon_v up_o in_o the_o former_a chapter_n abel_n enoch_n noah_n abraham_n moses_n etc._n etc._n all_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n that_o have_v have_v experience_n of_o the_o goodness_n of_o his_o providence_n to_o they_o and_o the_o fulfil_n of_o his_o promise_n they_o be_v all_o call_v witness_n why_o because_o the_o depose_v a_o testimony_n for_o god_n and_o to_o speak_v to_o future_a generation_n to_o be_v constant_a as_o they_o be_v that_o they_o may_v receive_v the_o like_a reward_n this_o witness_n be_v partly_o in_o their_o faith_n and_o partly_o in_o the_o fruit_n of_o their_o faith_n 1._o they_o witness_v bâ—_n their_o faith_n john_n 3_o 33._o he_o that_o have_v receive_v his_o testimony_n have_v set_v to_o his_o â—eal_n that_o god_n be_v true_a a_o man_n that_o have_v sound_o digest_v the_o promise_n that_o express_v his_o faith_n by_o cheerfulness_n and_o patience_n under_o all_o difficulty_n trouble_n delay_n and_o those_o sundry_a trial_n that_o he_o meet_v with_o he_o give_v it_o under_o hand_n and_o seal_v proclaim_v it_o to_o the_o world_n that_o he_o have_v to_o do_v with_o the_o true_a god_n and_o 2._o they_o witness_v in_o the_o fruit_n of_o their_o faith_n as_o they_o give_v we_o a_o instance_n of_o god_n fidelity_n towards_o they_o that_o faithful_o adhere_v to_o and_o firm_o believe_v in_o his_o promise_n so_o it_o be_v say_v heb._n 6.12_o be_v not_o slothful_a but_o follower_n of_o they_o who_o through_o faith_n and_o patience_n inherit_v the_o promise_n let_v faith_n but_o set_v patience_n a_o work_n do_v but_o hold_v out_o a_o little_a while_n with_o god_n and_o you_o may_v learn_v by_o the_o towards_o true_a happiness_n if_o we_o do_v not_o they_o that_o be_v now_o propound_v as_o witness_n to_o we_o will_v at_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n be_v produce_v as_o witness_n against_o we_o and_o pray_v also_o let_v we_o remember_v that_o we_o be_v to_o continue_v and_o keep_v afoot_o that_o testimony_n to_o succeed_a generation_n for_o not_o only_o the_o prophet_n and_o holy_a man_n of_o god_n be_v god_n witness_n but_o all_o god_n people_n also_o be_v his_o witness_n isai_n 43.10_o by_o their_o faith_n patience_n diligence_n constancy_n and_o cheerfulness_n under_o affliction_n they_o be_v to_o give_v it_o under_o hand_n and_o seal_v to_o the_o world_n that_o god_n be_v a_o true_a and_o faithful_a god_n but_o now_o if_o we_o either_o by_o our_o sinful_a walk_n or_o by_o
