same_o which_o can_v come_v to_o we_o gentile_n no_o other_o way_n then_o by_o christ_n and_o faith_n in_o his_o name_n and_o if_o any_o shall_v object_v from_o the_o testimony_n of_o john_n the_o we_o shall_v first_o consider_v what_o in_o this_o sense_n be_v to_o be_v understand_v by_o christ_n and_o second_o what_o by_o union_n with_o christ_n so_o as_o to_o be_v justify_v thereby_o by_o christ_n here_o i_o understand_v he_o so_o as_o the_o gospel_n hold_v he_o forth_o in_o the_o work_n of_o man_n redemption_n in_o reference_n to_o his_o death_n &_o resurrection_n and_o the_o only_a righteousness_n that_o commend_v such_o to_o god_n as_o believe_v in_o the_o same_o and_o so_o christ_n thus_o consider_v be_v the_o only_a subject_n of_o life_n to_o every_o soul_n that_o shall_v be_v unite_v unto_o he_o by_o faith_n to_o which_o union_n with_o christ_n these_o three_o thing_n must_v be_v mind_v as_o essential_a to_o the_o same_o first_o god_n reveal_v &_o tender_v of_o christ_n as_o the_o alsufficient_a &_o only_a way_n to_o life_n second_o a_o heart_n fit_o dispose_v by_o faith_n to_o apprehend_v and_o receive_v christ_n so_o tender_v and_o last_o the_o spirit_n of_o grace_n unite_n and_o knit_n of_o the_o heart_n and_o christ_n togegether_o as_o aforesaid_a and_o this_o i_o understand_v to_o be_v that_o effectual_a and_o substantial_a union_n with_o christ_n to_o justification_n of_o life_n which_o the_o word_n of_o god_n approve_v of_o that_o most_o decide_v all_o difference_n in_o matter_n of_o religion_n for_o justification_n to_o life_n ever_o presuppose_v apprehension_n of_o christ_n as_o the_o subject_n of_o life_n and_o a_o true_a application_n of_o the_o same_o by_o faith_n as_o aforesaid_a the_o gospel_n hold_v forth_o no_o other_o consider_v and_o therefore_o misapply_v the_o first_o fruit_n be_v such_o as_o first_o so_o appear_v of_o god_n elect_v by_o faith_n in_o such_o a_o way_n of_o grace_n by_o god_n receive_v and_o approve_v of_o they_o in_o his_o holy_a covenant_n under_o so_o many_o gracious_a promise_n the_o lump_n such_o a_o remnant_n in_o the_o election_n of_o grace_n chief_o of_o the_o jew_n with_o
