age_n to_o come_v without_o submit_v to_o their_o whole_a law_n or_o any_o more_o than_o own_v the_o god_n of_o israel_n and_o observe_v the_o seven_o precept_n of_o noah_n as_o master_n mede_n have_v learned_o and_o with_o great_a conviction_n show_v these_o be_v desirous_a to_o live_v godly_o and_o not_o prejudice_v against_o the_o christian_a religion_n as_o the_o jew_n general_o be_v do_v then_o at_o antioch_n receive_v the_o gospel_n upon_o its_o first_o be_v make_v know_v to_o they_o and_o of_o this_o sort_n be_v cornelius_n who_o conversion_n to_o christianity_n we_o read_v of_o before_o in_o the_o ten_o chapter_n second_o and_o consequent_o this_o sense_n be_v also_o imply_v in_o the_o first_o cite_v word_n of_o our_o saviour_n viz._n that_o as_o he_o which_o be_v willing_a to_o do_v god_n will_n shall_v know_v that_o christ_n doctrine_n come_v from_o he_o so_o he_o shall_v right_o understand_v that_o doctrine_n too_o for_o it_o will_v be_v to_o no_o purpose_n for_o he_o to_o believe_v the_o gospel_n to_o be_v true_a if_o his_o faith_n be_v not_o accompany_v with_o a_o ability_n to_o pass_v a_o right_a judgement_n on_o the_o sense_n of_o it_o and_o therefore_o he_o must_v needs_o be_v able_a to_o distinguish_v between_o the_o doctrine_n of_o christ_n and_o that_o which_o be_v false_o impose_v at_o any_o time_n upon_o the_o world_n as_o he_o and_o father_v upon_o he_o by_o ungodly_a heretic_n as_o well_o as_o satisfy_v that_o what_o he_o deliver_v in_o the_o general_n be_v the_o will_n of_o god_n s._n john_n to_o this_o same_o purpose_n express_v himself_o 1_o epistle_n 4._o 6._o he_o that_o know_v god_n that_o be_v practical_o or_o be_v obedient_a hear_v we_o he_o that_o be_v not_o of_o god_n or_o be_v not_o willing_a to_o obey_v he_o hear_v not_o we_o hereby_o know_v we_o the_o spirit_n of_o truth_n and_o the_o spirit_n of_o error_n that_o be_v by_o this_o obedient_a temper_n we_o be_v capable_a of_o distinguish_v betwixt_o these_o two_o spirit_n and_o i_o say_v from_o the_o design_n of_o the_o gospel_n that_o be_v to_o make_v man_n holy_a it_o may_v be_v presume_v that_o whosoever_o consider_v it_o with_o a_o desire_n of_o be_v so_o must_v needs_o both_o believe_v it_o to_o have_v come_v from_o god_n and_o also_o be_v enlighten_v in_o the_o true_a knowledge_n of_o at_o least_o all_o the_o necessary_a point_n of_o it_o and_o be_v enable_v to_o give_v a_o particular_a explicit_a and_o understand_a assent_n to_o they_o so_o that_o it_o shall_v not_o lie_v in_o the_o power_n of_o any_o subtle_a seducer_n to_o rob_v he_o of_o his_o faith_n or_o to_o infect_v he_o with_o any_o principle_n that_o be_v direct_o destructive_a to_o it_o or_o be_v so_o plain_o in_o their_o consequence_n so_o as_o that_o he_o shall_v see_v it_o and_o make_v that_o ill_a use_n of_o they_o as_o to_o be_v persuade_v by_o they_o to_o let_v go_v his_o hold_n of_o any_o fundamental_a article_n of_o the_o christian_a religion_n for_o our_o saviour_n have_v so_o infinite_o concern_v himself_o for_o the_o destroy_n of_o sin_n in_o we_o and_o to_o make_v we_o partaker_n of_o his_o holiness_n as_o to_o aim_v at_o this_o above_o all_o thing_n in_o all_o he_o do_v and_o suffer_v in_o the_o world_n and_o to_o make_v it_o the_o whole_a business_n of_o his_o gospel_n we_o may_v be_v certain_a that_o those_o honest_a soul_n that_o come_v to_o the_o study_n of_o it_o with_o a_o desire_n of_o reap_v this_o advantage_n by_o it_o can_v be_v leave_v destitute_a of_o christ_n grace_n and_o blessing_n to_o make_v it_o successful_a to_o they_o for_o that_o purpose_n which_o it_o be_v impossible_a it_o shall_v be_v without_o a_o thorow-belief_n of_o it_o and_o a_o right_a understanding_n of_o at_o least_o all_o its_o absolute_o necessary_a and_o essential_a part_n this_o we_o may_v be_v assure_v of_o from_o that_o consideration_n though_o there_o be_v no_o promise_n extant_a of_o that_o his_o grace_n to_o such_o well_o dispose_v people_n as_o there_o be_v diverse_a other_o beside_o that_o which_o we_o have_v produce_v but_o beside_o this_o a_o sincere_a desire_n of_o be_v obedient_a and_o holy_a must_v needs_o of_o itself_o very_o great_o dispose_v we_o for_o the_o belief_n and_o sufficient_a understanding_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o be_v very_o necessary_a in_o order_n thereunto_o also_o for_o first_o it_o will_v help_v we_o to_o judge_v without_o prejudice_n and_o partiality_n concern_v it_o and_o the_o particular_a doctrine_n therein_o contain_v he_o who_o hearty_a desire_v it_o be_v to_o please_v god_n in_o do_v his_o will_n will_v be_v unbiased_a in_o his_o judgement_n in_o inquiry_n after_o it_o he_o know_v that_o he_o can_v make_v that_o to_o be_v truth_n by_o think_v one_o way_n or_o other_o which_o be_v not_o before_o so_o and_o that_o truth_n will_v be_v truth_n whatsoever_o he_o think_v on_o it_o and_o therefore_o do_v not_o wish_v that_o this_o or_o that_o may_v be_v so_o and_o then_o endeavour_v to_o persuade_v himself_o that_o it_o be_v so_o
