die_v with_o i_o but_o hezekias_n have_v a_o far_a other_o meaning_n for_o albeit_o he_o desire_v the_o prosperity_n of_o such_o as_o shall_v suruive_v he_o as_o much_o as_o his_o own_o yet_o he_o church_n it_o shall_v seem_v that_o her_o utter_a subversion_n be_v now_o come_v the_o lord_n show_v then_o that_o he_o will_v assist_v she_o in_o due_a season_n for_o have_v he_o not_o resist_v such_o enterprise_n and_o repress_v the_o plot_n of_o the_o enemy_n betimes_o the_o jew_n may_v have_v despair_v therefore_o he_o let_v it_o be_v know_v that_o he_o have_v a_o care_n of_o his_o church_n so_o as_o howsoever_o it_o please_v he_o to_o chastise_v she_o yet_o shall_v she_o feel_v his_o help_n in_o time_n convenient_a yea_o he_o will_v oppose_v his_o strength_n against_o the_o power_n of_o tyrant_n and_o of_o her_o enemy_n lest_o they_o shall_v overthrow_v she_o and_o so_o attain_v their_o long_a expect_a hope_n that_o the_o jew_n than_o may_v be_v embolden_v to_o wait_v with_o patience_n he_o not_o only_o separate_v they_o from_o the_o ethiopian_n but_o advertise_v they_o in_o like_a manner_n that_o god_n will_v moderate_v his_o judgement_n for_o their_o salvation_n now_o he_o allude_v to_o the_o second_o verse_n of_o this_o chapter_n where_o we_o see_v the_o people_n of_o the_o jew_n term_v by_o these_o name_n and_o title_n he_o use_v the_o verb_n to_o bring_v because_o before_o this_o they_o shall_v be_v lead_v away_o as_o captive_n so_o as_o it_o shall_v be_v no_o more_o lawful_a for_o they_o to_o go_v up_o to_o the_o temple_n then_o for_o foreign_a gather_v a_o most_o fruitful_a doctrine_n and_o exceed_v fit_a for_o our_o time_n use_n a_o doctrine_n of_o singular_a use_n we_o see_v the_o church_n at_o this_o day_n to_o be_v almost_o past_a recovery_n for_o she_o be_v scatter_v oppress_a overwhelm_v and_o tread_v down_o on_o ever_o side_n what_o ought_v we_o to_o do_v in_o the_o mid_n of_o so_o great_a distress_n we_o must_v lay_v fast_o hold_v upon_o these_o and_o the_o like_a promise_n and_o assure_v ourselves_o that_o howsoever_o the_o world_n go_v yet_o god_n will_v defend_v and_o maintain_v his_o church_n and_o albeit_o she_o be_v as_o a_o body_n tear_v in_o piece_n and_o scatter_v here_o and_o there_o yet_o will_v he_o easy_o gather_v her_o scatter_a member_n together_o again_o by_o the_o work_n of_o his_o spirit_n for_o he_o will_v never_o suffer_v the_o remembrance_n of_o his_o name_n nor_o the_o invocation_n thereof_o to_o perish_v the_o lord_n will_v so_o work_v that_o of_o these_o piece_n which_o lie_v now_o scatter_v here_o and_o there_o there_o shall_v be_v a_o people_n make_v and_o gather_v together_o for_o it_o be_v easy_a with_o he_o to_o gather_v into_o one_o those_o who_o he_o knit_v together_o accustom_v to_o use_v this_o manner_n of_o speech_n often_o for_o when_o they_o mention_v the_o service_n of_o god_n they_o set_v be_v forth_o by_o external_a exercise_n as_o by_o altar_n sacrifice_n wash_n and_o such_o like_a now_o the_o very_a truth_n be_v that_o in_o regard_n the_o service_n of_o god_n be_v internal_a it_o can_v be_v represent_v but_o by_o outward_a sign_n whereby_o man_n testify_v that_o they_o serve_v and_o worship_n god_n now_o he_o name_v the_o mount_n of_o zion_n here_o chief_o because_o this_o place_n be_v consecrate_v unto_o god_n as_o the_o place_n wherein_o he_o will_v have_v sacrifice_n offer_v unto_o he_o for_o the_o lord_n honour_v this_o place_n above_o all_o other_o in_o cause_v the_o doctrine_n of_o his_o word_n to_o come_v out_o thence_o as_o we_o have_v see_v chap._n 2.3_o so_o that_o under_o this_o name_n we_o may_v right_o understand_v the_o pure_a and_o sincere_a worship_n of_o god_n to_o conclude_v the_o prophet_n describe_v not_o this_o to_o apply_v themselves_o to_o the_o capacity_n of_o the_o people_n who_o they_o teach_v hence_o we_o may_v gather_v that_o we_o appertain_v not_o unto_o the_o church_n unless_o we_o be_v offer_v unto_o god_n in_o sacrifice_n god_n we_o can_v have_v no_o assurance_n that_o we_o belong_v to_o the_o church_n of_o god_n unless_o we_o offer_v up_o our_o body_n and_o soul_n a_o sacrifice_n unto_o now_o spread_v over_o all_o the_o world_n and_o be_v consecrate_v unto_o god_n in_o general_n it_o remain_v then_o that_o we_o have_v the_o same_o faith_n among_o we_o and_o that_o we_o be_v join_v and_o link_v together_o by_o the_o band_n of_o love_n for_o if_o these_o be_v want_v in_o we_o then_o be_v there_o nothing_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o we_o but_o pollution_n we_o where_o faith_n and_o we_o will_v have_v any_o place_n in_o god_n church_n it_o be_v most_o certain_a that_o the_o common_a lot_n of_o all_o man_n be_v to_o bear_v sundry_a and_o infinite_a calamity_n and_o thence_o come_v the_o old_a proverb_n it_o be_v best_o of_o all_o never_o to_o have_v be_v bear_v or_o be_v bear_v to_o die_v quick_o but_o we_o see_v that_o the_o faithful_a be_v tire_v with_o extreme_a misery_n and_o exercise_v therewith_o above_o all_o other_o for_o god_n mean_v to_o try_v their_o faith_n to_o the_o end_n they_o may_v serve_v he_o riot_n why_o god_n correct_v his_o child_n and_o let_v the_o wicked_a in_o the_o mean_a while_n run_v riot_n have_v renounce_v their_o lust_n and_o the_o world_n also_o see_v the_o lord_n than_o have_v such_o a_o special_a care_n of_o they_o he_o will_v chastise_v they_o and_o in_o the_o mean_a while_n will_v suffer_v the_o wicked_a to_o run_v riot_n into_o all_o misorder_n hence_o also_o we_o be_v admonish_v that_o we_o must_v not_o only_o suffer_v one_o or_o two_o calamity_n and_o so_o a_o end_n lest_o we_o shall_v think_v ourselves_o discharge_v after_o we_o have_v endure_v some_o few_o assault_n for_o we_o must_v always_o be_v prepare_v to_o meet_v with_o new_a trial_n when_o the_o lord_n take_v up_o his_o child_n he_o let_v they_o not_o down_o forthwith_o for_o we_o must_v be_v content_a even_o then_o to_o bring_v forth_o the_o wind_n so_o die_v who_o the_o lord_n preserve_v under_o his_o safeguard_n we_o know_v that_o god_n be_v the_o god_n of_o the_o live_n and_o not_o of_o the_o dead_a math._n 22.32_o be_v we_o the_o lord_n and_o turn_n verse_n 2._o in_o that_o day_n sing_v of_o the_o vineyard_n of_o vine_n of_o or_o to_o the_o red_a vine_n red_a wine_n now_o he_o show_v that_o all_o this_o shall_v be_v do_v for_o the_o salvation_n of_o the_o church_n why_o so_o because_o the_o lord_n provide_v for_o the_o safety_n of_o all_o such_o as_o he_o have_v once_o vouchsafe_v to_o receive_v under_o his_o protection_n that_o it_o then_o if_o he_o have_v in_o plain_a word_n call_v they_o the_o people_n of_o israel_n for_o in_o as_o much_o as_o the_o excellency_n of_o a_o vine_n place_n this_o word_n vine_n have_v great_a emphasis_n in_o this_o place_n consist_v chief_o in_o the_o place_n and_o plant_v of_o it_o and_o also_o depend_v upon_o the_o continual_a dress_n of_o it_o if_o the_o church_n be_v god_n vine_n we_o thence_o gather_v that_o she_o can_v flourish_v but_o by_o the_o continual_a course_n of_o his_o daily_a favour_n and_o blessing_n upon_o she_o by_o this_o similitude_n he_o also_o express_v what_o singular_a love_n and_o affection_n the_o lord_n bear_v unto_o she_o as_o we_o have_v more_o full_o declare_v in_o the_o five_o chapter_n now_o he_o call_v it_o a_o red_a vine_n that_o be_v to_o say_v hence_o it_o be_v that_o the_o vineyard_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v so_o spoil_v and_o waste_v to_o wit_n because_o the_o lord_n leave_v it_o for_o a_o time_n and_o give_v it_o up_o as_o a_o pray_v into_o his_o enemy_n hand_n whence_o we_o gather_v hand_n our_o welfare_n soon_o decay_v if_o god_n do_v but_o a_o little_a withdraw_v his_o hand_n that_o our_o welfare_n will_v soon_o decay_v if_o strange_o that_o whosoever_o see_v or_o hear_v of_o it_o shall_v be_v astonish_v true_a it_o be_v that_o all_o the_o work_n of_o god_n be_v so_o many_o testimony_n of_o his_o power_n yea_o the_o least_o of_o they_o be_v sufficient_a to_o draw_v we_o into_o a_o admiration_n but_o in_o regard_n they_o be_v little_o respect_v because_o they_o be_v common_a we_o think_v he_o work_v nothing_o

for_o we_o think_v his_o word_n hang_v in_o the_o air_n without_o any_o effect_n but_o by_o the_o very_a order_n of_o nature_n he_o show_v how_o detestable_a this_o opinion_n be_v for_o it_o be_v too_o absurd_a a_o thing_n to_o attribute_v less_o to_o the_o word_n then_o to_o a_o insensible_a creature_n and_o therefore_o he_o teach_v that_o the_o word_n be_v never_o without_o his_o effect_n some_o understand_v it_o as_o if_o the_o preach_n of_o the_o gospel_n be_v never_o in_o vain_a but_o that_o it_o always_o bring_v forth_o some_o fruit_n which_o i_o grant_v to_o be_v a_o truth_n for_o the_o lord_n work_v by_o his_o spirit_n &_o give_v increase_v 1._o cor._n 3.7_o that_o the_o labour_n of_o his_o minister_n may_v not_o be_v in_o vain_a but_o the_o prophet_n mean_v another_o matter_n
