they_o till_o we_o prove_v god_n institution_n of_o godfather_n especial_o where_o their_o title_n be_v lay_v upon_o such_o godfather_n 7_o some_o say_v that_o it_o be_v not_o the_o minister_n that_o refuse_v they_o but_o the_o church_n which_o make_v the_o law_n but_o other_o say_v that_o it_o be_v both_o the_o lawmaker_n and_o the_o minister_n unless_o we_o can_v prove_v that_o baptise_v and_o judge_v who_o to_o baptise_v be_v none_o of_o the_o minister_n office_n no_o nor_o the_o bishop_n but_o that_o the_o priest_n be_v to_o baptize_v all_o and_o only_o such_o as_o the_o law_n or_o convocation_n bid_v he_o baptize_v as_o a_o mere_a executioner_n and_o the_o bishop_n also_o such_o as_o he_o be_v appoint_v by_o the_o same_o law_n that_o else_o the_o same_o rule_n will_v hold_v for_o his_o preach_v pray_v etc._n etc._n x._o the_o like_a proof_n which_o we_o need_v not_o repeat_v will_v show_v that_o no_o minister_n must_v baptize_v any_o person_n infant_n or_o adult_n without_o the_o transient_a image_n of_o a_o cross_n and_o that_o to_o this_o we_o must_v assent_v and_o consent_n and_o subscribe_v to_o baptize_v in_o no_o other_o form_n 2._o and_o the_o same_o reason_n aforegve_v show_v how_o great_a a_o penalty_n this_o be_v as_o exclude_v they_o from_o christendom_n and_o salvation_n in_o the_o church_n judgement_n or_o from_o certainty_n at_o least_o 3._o some_o conformist_n say_v here_o also_o that_o they_o assent_v only_o to_o baptize_v with_o the_o cross_n but_o not_o to_o baptize_v no_o otherwise_o but_o other_o of_o they_o reprove_v this_o exposition_n from_o the_o rubric_n and_o the_o aforecited_a canonical_a subscription_n as_o that_o which_o will_v leave_v the_o priest_n at_o liberty_n to_o do_v almost_o what_o he_o list_v when_o the_o church_n think_v that_o
