pleasure_n we_o may_v see_v here_o a_o wonderful_a &_o unsearchable_a mystery_n which_o first_o of_o all_o aught_o to_o stir_v we_o up_o not_o to_o plead_v with_o god_n but_o in_o a_o holy_a repentance_n rom._n 11._o 29._o four_o here_o it_o be_v plain_a that_o those_o who_o christ_n will_v not_o save_v he_o never_o know_v hence_o it_o follow_v that_o who_o he_o know_v to_o be_v he_o they_o he_o will_v know_v to_o be_v his_o for_o ever_o this_o point_n must_v be_v remember_v because_o it_o be_v the_o true_a foundation_n and_o ground_n of_o the_o salvation_n of_o man_n soul_n we_o that_o bring_v we_o thereto_o be_v this_o knowledge_n of_o god_n whereby_o he_o accept_v and_o approve_v we_o to_o be_v his_o own_o hence_o we_o may_v gather_v that_o those_o who_o be_v elect_v unto_o salvation_n shall_v away_o never_o perish_v for_o who_o god_n once_o know_v to_o be_v his_o they_o he_o know_v to_o be_v his_o for_o ever_o &_o therefore_o mat._n 24._o 24._o it_o be_v make_v a_o be_v answerable_a some_o therefore_o concern_v the_o soul_n and_o some_o the_o body_n mercy_n towards_o the_o soul_n be_v when_o a_o man_n be_v careful_a for_o the_o salvation_n of_o a_o other_o use_v mean_n to_o bring_v a_o man_n from_o spiritual_a darkness_n unto_o light_n from_o the_o power_n of_o satan_n unto_o god_n from_o the_o state_n of_o sin_n and_o the_o danger_n of_o hell_n fire_n to_o the_o state_n of_o grace_n in_o true_a faith_n and_o repentance_n and_o so_o to_o life_n eternal_a and_o look_v how_o far_o the_o soul_n be_v more_o excellent_a than_o the_o body_n so_o far_o do_v this_o work_v exceed_v any_o work_n of_o mercy_n that_o concern_v the_o body_n mercy_n towards_o the_o body_n be_v call_v alm_n or_o relief_n whereby_o a_o man_n outward_a necessity_n for_o food_n raiment_n or_o such_o like_a be_v supply_v that_o this_o be_v a_o work_n of_o mercy_n be_v manifest_a isaiah_n 58._o 10._o where_o the_o relieve_v of_o the_o hungry_a be_v the_o pour_v out_o of_o common_a among_o we_o the_o rich_a sort_n which_o abound_v in_o outward_a blessing_n think_v themselves_o happy_a but_o if_o they_o be_v unmerciful_a they_o be_v wretched_a and_o such_o be_v all_o those_o that_o for_o the_o maintenance_n of_o their_o outward_a poâ—â—pe_n and_o bravery_n spoil_v the_o poor_a that_o live_v under_o they_o by_o enclose_v of_o commons_o rack_a of_o rent_n unreasonable_a fine_n etc._n etc._n or_o for_o the_o satisfy_n of_o their_o vain_a pleasure_n and_o delight_n bestow_v more_o upon_o hawk_n and_o hound_n then_o on_o the_o poor_a such_o a_o wretched_a person_n also_o be_v the_o corn-monger_n who_o have_v his_o barn_n full_a and_o his_o garner_n full_a and_o yet_o suffer_v the_o poor_a to_o want_v bread_n wait_v still_o for_o a_o dear_a time_n such_o also_o be_v our_o common_a usurer_n engrosser_n and_o forestallers_a of_o needful_a â—_o commodity_n whatsoever_o all_o these_o seek_v themselves_o and_o have_v no_o mercy_n on_o they_o that_o be_v in_o misery_n yea_o such_o likewise_o be_v those_o householder_n who_o spend_v their_o time_n and_o wealth_n in_o some_o disorder_a course_n as_o whore_v game_a drink_v or_o such_o like_a and_o it_o be_v a_o easy_a thing_n thus_o to_o show_v through_o all_o estate_n the_o great_a multitude_n of_o miserable_a person_n for_o now_o the_o common_a proverb_n be_v become_v the_o common_a practice_n every_o man_n for_o himself_o and_o god_n for_o we_o all_o second_o see_v the_o merciful_a man_n be_v bless_v we_o must_v learn_v to_o put_v mercy_n on_o tender_a mercy_n or_o the_o bowel_n call_v we_o protestant_n without_o leave_n and_o that_o under_o a_o great_a penalty_n which_o be_v severe_o inflict_v upon_o offender_n that_o way_n v._o instruct._n this_o commandment_n also_o show_v that_o it_o be_v not_o lawful_a unlawful_a to_o grant_v to_o any_o man_n or_o to_o any_o people_n the_o liberty_n of_o their_o own_o conscience_n in_o the_o matter_n of_o religion_n permit_v they_o
