esteem_v you_o but_o as_o filthy_a rag_n or_o as_o dross_n and_o dung_n as_o do_v paul_n former_o you_o affirm_v object_n that_o man_n in_o order_n to_o become_v a_o saint_n do_v in_o a_o patient_a seek_n etc._n etc._n but_o now_o you_o affirm_v none_o have_v true_a patience_n but_o saint_n according_a to_o the_o be_v or_o nature_n of_o a_o thing_n such_o be_v its_o working_n answ_n therefore_o that_o former_a patient_a seek_v be_v but_o a_o shadow_n of_o this_o true_a patience_n or_o as_o to_o its_o perfect_a work_n for_o this_o patience_n in_o the_o saint_n arise_v from_o the_o root_n of_o satan_n lose_v his_o prey_n for_o ever_o do_v not_o heman_n mean_v quest_n when_o he_o say_v thy_o terror_n have_v cut_v i_o off_o as_o do_v job_n i_o choose_v strangle_v rather_o than_o to_o live_v then_o if_o heman_n or_o job_n have_v strangle_v themselves_o have_v not_o god_n then_o lose_v his_o glory_n in_o that_o satan_n have_v get_v the_o prey_n i_o answer_v answ_n satan_n have_v not_o get_v his_o prey_n though_o he_o have_v hang_v himself_o nor_o god_n lose_v the_o glory_n of_o his_o grace_n but_o the_o redundancy_n thereof_o to_o eternity_n how_o be_v this_o possible_a to_o be_v true_a quest_n for_o they_o which_o do_v so_o die_v in_o a_o act_n of_o sin_n which_o nature_n abhor_v that_o be_v the_o destruction_n of_o itself_o i_o answer_v you_o must_v consider_v what_o capacity_n heman_n and_o job_n be_v in_o namely_o right_a believer_n therefore_o not_o in_o a_o estate_n of_o unbeleef_n as_o be_v achitophel_n and_o judas_n that_o hang_v themselves_o for_o die_v such_o they_o be_v cut_v off_o from_o all_o pardon_n of_o sin_n because_o the_o sin_n of_o unbeleef_n in_o such_o cut_v off_o all_o hope_n of_o pardon_n and_o whereas_o you_o say_v they_o die_v in_o it_o but_o sin_n that_o dwell_v in_o i_o so_o may_v job_n in_o this_o case_n say_v it_o be_v not_o i_o 7.15_o rom._n 7.15_o but_o my_o most_o deep_a distemper_n that_o dwell_v in_o i_o which_o strangle_v i_o again_o whereas_o you_o sty_n that_o in_o this_o case_n he_o have_v depart_v this_o world_n in_o the_o act_n of_o sin_n i_o answer_v it_o be_v true_a a_o sin_n in_o a_o transcendent_a degree_n for_o if_o god_n forbid_v to_o murder_v another_o man_n much_o more_o a_o man_n self_n yet_o say_v our_o lord_n 12.31_o mat._n 12.31_o all_o manner_n of_o sin_n and_o blasphemy_n shall_v be_v forgive_v unto_o man_n but_o the_o blasphemy_n against_o the_o holy_a ghost_n shall_v not_o be_v forgive_v therefore_o this_o be_v not_o the_o sin_n against_o the_o holy_a ghost_n in_o job_n a_o strangle_a if_o he_o do_v find_v any_o divine_a consolation_n from_o god_n to_o give_v they_o some_o manifestation_n thereof_o the_o which_o he_o do_v by_o lift_v up_o both_o his_o hand_n three_o time_n to_o his_o head_n notwithstanding_o his_o former_a deep_a sorrow_n and_o his_o present_a pain_n his_o body_n so_o hang_v yet_o he_o have_v the_o use_n of_o his_o mind_n and_o memory_n to_o give_v they_o the_o foresay_a sign_n doubtless_o so_o it_o be_v in_o this_o case_n concern_v godly_a man_n that_o when_o satan_n think_v himself_o sure_a of_o his_o prey_n he_o be_v further_a from_o attain_v his_o desire_a end_n and_o thus_o god_n turn_v the_o rebound_n of_o his_o glory_n to_o himself_o in_o the_o salvation_n of_o holy_a man_n from_o so_o great_a a_o misery_n also_o i_o remember_v mr._n fox_n in_o the_o act_n and_o monument_n of_o the_o church_n of_o a_o martyr_n say_v his_o godly_a friend_n desire_v he_o when_o he_o be_v in_o the_o flame_n that_o if_o such_o a_o sharp_a dissolution_n be_v sufferable_a with_o comfort_n to_o give_v some_o sign_n to_o they_o and_o notwithstanding_o the_o sharpness_n of_o the_o flame_n he_o be_v much_o burn_v and_o their_o expectation_n as_o it_o be_v past_a hope_n yet_o than_o his_o comfort_n be_v internal_o so_o clear_a that_o his_o mind_n remember_v the_o promise_n to_o his_o friend_n and_o give_v a_o sign_n by_o lift_v up_o both_o his_o hand_n three_o time_n to_o his_o head_n in_o those_o fierce_a flame_n to_o the_o great_a amazement_n of_o the_o people_n and_o the_o establishment_n of_o the_o godly_a at_o the_o which_o the_o people_n give_v a_o great_a shout_n be_v it_o so_o that_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n by_o not_o improve_n their_o grace_n according_a to_o their_o measure_n receive_v may_v turn_v that_o affliction_n which_o god_n inflict_v on_o they_o for_o a_o honourable_a trial_n into_o a_o dishonourable_a sharp_a chastisement_n as_o do_v job_n under_o the_o execution_n of_o satan_n second_o commission_n then_o hence_o observe_v that_o this_o case_n carry_v along_o in_o it_o a_o contingency_n as_o to_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n and_o not_o a_o immutable_a current_n which_o can_v be_v turn_v by_o they_o another_o way_n for_o here_o we_o see_v job_n alter_v its_o course_n wherefore_o god_n proceed_v against_o he_o for_o his_o fault_n as_o be_v prove_v therefore_o you_o saint_n of_o god_n keep_v to_o the_o exercise_n of_o your_o grace_n according_a to_o your_o measure_n or_o degree_n give_v you_o by_o the_o word_n and_o spirit_n of_o truth_n and_o be_v sure_a to_o operate_v perseverance_n therein_o therefore_o make_v not_o the_o consultation_n with_o flesh_n and_o blood_n nor_o your_o vain_a imagination_n your_o religion_n as_o do_v those_o saint_n which_o fall_v away_o to_o be_v quaker_n and_o familist_n not_o only_o to_o the_o destruction_n of_o themselves_o but_o to_o the_o destruction_n of_o the_o faith_n of_o many_o other_o by_o call_v their_o fleshly_a wisdom_n and_o vain_a imagination_n by_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o divine_a
nature_n not_o mean_v those_o former_a grace_n wrought_v in_o they_o by_o the_o word_n and_o spirit_n of_o god_n but_o they_o fancy_n themselves_o to_o be_v the_o divine_a essence_n essential_o the_o one_o jehovah_n this_o they_o name_v also_o by_o a_o light_n within_o they_o but_o do_v you_o be_v sure_a to_o make_v christ_n your_o religion_n who_o be_v personal_o god-man_n and_o none_o other_o and_o depend_v upon_o his_o righteousness_n impute_v only_o for_o god_n gift_n of_o eternal_a life_n also_o beware_v you_o destroy_v not_o that_o inherent_a righteousness_n which_o be_v in_o you_o
