from_o the_o say_a office_n or_o place_n of_o wardenship_n which_o warden_n or_o warden_v not_o demeaning_a he_o or_o themselves_o well_o in_o he_o or_o their_o say_a office_n or_o place_n we_o will_v to_o be_v removable_a at_o the_o will_n and_o pleasure_n of_o the_o master_n and_o residue_n of_o the_o warden_n and_o assistant_n of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n or_o the_o great_a part_n of_o they_o by_o themselves_o or_o their_o deputy_n as_o aforesaid_a whereof_o the_o master_n or_o master_n deputy_n for_o the_o time_n be_v to_o be_v always_o one_o together_o with_o new_a election_n or_o choice_n either_o of_o he_o or_o they_o so_o displace_v or_o remove_v or_o of_o some_o other_o of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n be_v elder_a brother_n for_o new_a or_o other_o warden_n or_o warden_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a and_o shall_v and_o may_v then_o and_o there_o before_o their_o departure_n from_o the_o say_a place_n nominate_v and_o elect_v he_o or_o they_o again_o so_o remove_v and_o put_v out_o or_o some_o other_o of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n be_v elder_a brother_n to_o be_v warden_n or_o warden_n of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n in_o the_o place_n or_o stead_n place_n or_o stead_n of_o he_o or_o they_o that_o so_o die_v or_o be_v or_o be_v so_o dead_a displace_v remove_v or_o put_v out_o which_o person_n or_o person_n be_v so_o elect_v and_o nominate_v to_o the_o office_n or_o office_n long_o new_a warden_n to_o act_n how_o and_o how_o long_o place_n or_o place_n of_o warden_n or_o warden_n of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a shall_v and_o may_v have_v and_o exercise_v the_o say_a office_n and_o office_n place_n and_o place_n of_o warden_n or_o warden_n for_o and_o during_o the_o residue_n of_o the_o say_v two_o year_n and_o so_o forward_o and_o also_o unto_o the_o time_n of_o a_o new_a election_n and_o choice_n of_o the_o like_a warden_n or_o warden_n as_o aforesaid_a according_a to_o the_o purport_n and_o true_a meaning_n of_o these_o present_n take_v after_o oath_n first_o take_v he_o or_o they_o take_v first_o a_o like_a corporal_a oath_n upon_o the_o holy_a evangelist_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a for_o such_o due_a execution_n and_o performance_n thereof_o and_o of_o the_o allegiance_n and_o supremacy_n of_o we_o our_o heir_n and_o successor_n as_o aforesaid_a choose_v warden_n fine_a for_o refuse_v or_o neglect_v to_o act_v when_o choose_v and_o if_o any_o person_n appoint_v and_o elect_v for_o a_o stead_n or_o place_n and_o stead_n of_o he_o or_o they_o that_o so_o die_v or_o be_v so_o displace_v or_o remove_v long_o with_o power_n to_o act_v how_o and_o how_o long_o which_o person_n or_o person_n be_v so_o nominate_v and_o elect_v unto_o the_o office_n or_o place_n of_o warden_n deputy_n of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n shall_v and_o may_v have_v and_o exercise_v the_o same_o office_n or_o place_n in_o absence_n of_o the_o warden_n or_o warden_n there_o into_o who_o place_n

or_o stead_n he_o or_o they_o shall_v be_v so_o choose_v to_o serve_v for_o and_o during_o the_o residue_n of_o the_o say_v two_o year_n or_o one_o year_n and_o so_o forward_o unto_o the_o time_n of_o a_o new_a election_n or_o choice_n of_o other_o warden_n or_o warden_n or_o other_o deputy_n according_a to_o the_o purport_n and_o true_a meaning_n of_o these_o present_n take_v after_o oath_n take_v he_o or_o they_o take_v first_o such_o corporal_a oath_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a for_o the_o due_a execution_n and_o performance_n thereof_o and_o of_o the_o allegiance_n and_o supremacy_n of_o we_o our_o heir_n and_o successor_n as_o aforesaid_a neglect_v deputy_n warden_n fine_a for_o neglect_v and_o if_o any_o person_n or_o person_n so_o to_o be_v appoint_v or_o elect_v to_o be_v a_o warden_n deputy_n or_o deputy_n of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n as_o aforesaid_a shall_v refuse_v the_o say_a office_n or_o place_n without_o just_a cause_n or_o let_v so_o to_o do_v or_o shall_v after_o he_o or_o they_o have_v or_o have_v agree_v to_o it_o neglect_v the_o same_o he_o and_o they_o shall_v forfeit_v and_o lose_v several_o for_o every_o such_o default_n three_o pound_n six_o shilling_n and_o eight_o penny_n of_o lawful_a money_n of_o england_n in_o the_o name_n of_o a_o fine_a to_o be_v impose_v upon_o he_o or_o they_o several_o so_o refuse_v or_o neglect_v to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o say_a corporation_n to_o be_v demand_v and_o levy_v within_o such_o time_n and_o in_o such_o manner_n as_o the_o say_v fine_a to_o be_v impose_v upon_o the_o master_n be_v hereby_o direct_v to_o be_v demand_v and_o levy_v and_o so_o from_o time_n to_o time_n so_o often_o as_o the_o case_n shall_v require_v and_o further_o displacing_n new_a choice_n of_o assistant_n upon_o death_n or_o displacing_n we_o will_v and_o grant_v by_o these_o present_n for_o we_o our_o heir_n and_o successor_n unto_o the_o say_a master_n warden_n and_o assistant_n and_o to_o their_o successor_n that_o the_o say_a master_n warden_n and_o residue_n of_o the_o assistant_n for_o the_o time_n be_v and_o their_o successor_n or_o the_o great_a part_n of_o they_o by_o themselves_o or_o their_o deputy_n together_o with_o the_o major_a part_n of_o the_o residue_n of_o the_o elder_a brethren_n as_o aforesaid_a whereof_o the_o master_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o his_o say_a deputy_n to_o be_v always_o one_o shall_v and_o may_v from_o time_n to_o time_n and_o at_o all_o time_n hereafter_o upon_o the_o death_n depose_v displace_v expulsion_n or_o remove_v of_o they_o or_o any_o of_o they_o that_o be_v or_o shall_v be_v assistant_n or_o assistant_n there_o for_o the_o time_n be_v at_o the_o like_a day_n time_n and_o place_n when_o and_o as_o often_o as_o it_o shall_v seem_v good_a to_o they_o so_o to_o do_v have_v like_o authority_n and_o power_n yearly_a and_o every_o year_n to_o assemble_v and_o meet_v together_o and_o that_o they_o be_v so_o assemble_v and_o meet_v it_o shall_v and_o may_v be_v lawful_a to_o and_o for_o they_o or_o the_o great_a part_n of_o they_o by_o themselves_o or_o their_o deputy_n as_o aforesaid_a whereof_o the_o say_a master_n or_o master_n deputy_n for_o the_o time_n be_v to_o be_v always_o one_o to_o nominate_v and_o elect_v so_o many_o of_o that_o number_n of_o eight_o of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n be_v elder_a brother_n as_o shall_v be_v then_o want_v by_o death_n depose_v displace_v expulsion_n or_o remove_v as_o aforesaid_a to_o the_o office_n or_o place_n of_o assistant_n or_o assistant_n of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n which_o person_n or_o person_n so_o to_o be_v nominate_v and_o elect_v shall_v be_v assistant_n or_o assistant_n of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n for_o and_o during_o the_o term_n of_o their_o natural_a life_n as_o aforesaid_a swear_v assistant_n to_o be_v swear_v and_o yet_o nevertheless_o the_o say_a person_n be_v so_o to_o be_v nominate_v and_o elect_v to_o be_v assistant_n of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n as_o aforesaid_a when_o he_o or_o they_o shall_v be_v thereunto_o vote_v and_o elect_v before_o he_o or_o they_o be_v admit_v to_o the_o execution_n of_o he_o or_o their_o say_a office_n or_o place_n shall_v also_o make_v take_v and_o receive_v a_o like_a corporal_a oath_n upon_o the_o evangelist_n before_o the_o master_n warden_n and_o residue_n of_o the_o say_a assistant_n and_o elder_a brethren_n of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n or_o their_o deputy_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o the_o great_a part_n of_o they_o as_o aforesaid_a whereof_o the_o master_n or_o master_n deputy_n for_o the_o time_n be_v to_o be_v always_o one_o that_o he_o they_o and_o every_o of_o they_o oath_n assistant_n oath_n shall_v and_o will_v well_o and_o faithful_o execute_v and_o perform_v their_o office_n and_o place_n of_o assistant_n or_o assistant_n in_o all_o thing_n concern_v the_o same_o and_o also_o touch_v the_o say_a allegiance_n and_o supremacy_n of_o we_o our_o heir_n and_o successor_n as_o aforesaid_a and_o that_o immediate_o after_o the_o say_a oath_n so_o take_v he_o or_o they_o shall_v life_n assistant_n office_n for_o life_n and_o may_v execute_v and_o use_v the_o say_a office_n or_o place_n of_o assistant_n or_o assistant_n of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n for_o term_v of_o he_o or_o their_o natural_a life_n from_o thence_o next_o and_o immediate_o follow_v or_o unto_o the_o time_n of_o the_o next_o new_a election_n or_o choice_n of_o other_o assistant_n or_o assistant_n according_a to_o the_o purport_n and_o true_a meaning_n of_o these_o present_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a duty_n assistant_n duty_n and_o further_o we_o will_v by_o these_o present_n that_o the_o say_v assistant_n or_o assistant_n so_o as_o aforesaid_a from_o time_n to_o time_n to_o be_v elect_v vote_v and_o swear_v during_o the_o time_n that_o he_o or_o they_o or_o any_o of_o they_o shall_v continue_v in_o their_o say_a office_n and_o place_n of_o assistant_n ship_n be_v from_o time_n to_o time_n to_o the_o best_a of_o their_o endeavour_n and_o ability_n and_o skill_v aid_v assist_a and_o counsel_v unto_o the_o master_n and_o master_n deputy_n and_o warden_n and_o warden_n deputy_n of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n for_o the_o time_n be_v in_o all_o case_n matter_n and_o thing_n touch_v and_o concern_v the_o good_a and_o welfare_n of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n and_o brotherhood_n removable_a assistant_n removable_a and_o also_o our_o will_n and_o pleasure_n be_v and_o by_o these_o present_n for_o we_o our_o heir_n and_o successor_n we_o do_v give_v and_o grant_v unto_o the_o say_a master_n warden_n and_o assistant_n and_o to_o their_o successor_n that_o when_o and_o as_o often_o as_o it_o shall_v happen_v all_o or_o any_o of_o the_o assistant_n of_o the_o say_a guild_n brotherhood_n be_v elder_a brother_n to_o be_v assistant_n or_o assistant_n of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n in_o place_n or_o stead_n place_n or_o stead_n of_o he_o or_o they_o that_o so_o die_v or_o be_v or_o be_v so_o displace_v or_o remove_v which_o person_n and_o person_n be_v so_o elect_v and_o nominate_v to_o the_o office_n or_o office_n or_o place_n or_o place_n of_o assistant_n of_o the_o say_a guild_n fraternity_n or_o brotherhood_n shall_v and_o may_v have_v life_n with_o power_n to_o act_v for_o life_n and_o exercise_v the_o say_a office_n and_o of_o the_o say_a corporation_n for_o the_o time_n be_v not_o only_o to_o have_v take_v and_o keep_v one_o or_o more_o apprentice_n or_o apprentice_n to_o be_v bring_v up_o in_o the_o trade_n of_o mariner_n or_o seafaring_a man_n every_o of_o the_o say_a apprentice_n or_o apprentice_n to_o be_v to_o they_o bind_v for_o seven_o year_n at_o the_o least_o and_o every_o apprentice_n so_o take_v be_v above_o seven_o year_n of_o age_n at_o the_o time_n of_o his_o entry_n into_o his_o apprenticeship_n shall_v be_v by_o the_o same_o covenant_n bind_v to_o be_v order_v and_o use_v to_o all_o intent_n according_a to_o the_o custom_n of_o our_o city_n of_o london_n so_o that_o the_o same_o bond_n or_o covenant_n of_o apprenticeship_n be_v make_v by_o writing_n indent_v and_o enrol_v before_o themselves_o in_o the_o say_a corporation_n by_o some_o under_o officer_n of_o they_o thereto_o to_o be_v appoint_v and_o that_o there_o be_v not_o take_v for_o every_o such_o enrolment_n above_o twelve_o penny_n but_o also_o for_o the_o say_a master_n warden_n and_o assistant_n and_o their_o successor_n or_o the_o great_a part_n of_o they_o by_o themselves_o and_o their_o deputy_n and_o the_o major_a part_n of_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o say_v elder_a brethren_n as_o aforesaid_a whereof_o the_o master_n or_o master_n deputy_n for_o the_o time_n be_v to_o be_v always_o one_o to_o make_v and_o set_v down_o order_n and_o pain_n for_o the_o master_n and_o governor_n of_o such_o apprentice_n and_o apprentice_n well_o training_n and_o breed_v they_o up_o in_o their_o trade_n of_o navigation_n and_o sail_v and_o also_o for_o the_o say_a apprentice_n or_o apprentice_n due_a behave_v of_o themselves_o and_o their_o obedience_n and_o diligence_n towards_o their_o say_a master_n inquest_n inquisition_n attaint_v and_o other_o recognizance_n take_v or_o summon_v within_o the_o say_a county_n or_o place_n or_o any_o of_o they_o unless_o that_o they_o the_o say_v master_n warden_n and_o assistant_n and_o other_o seaman_n and_o mariner_n aforesaid_a session_n save_v in_o case_n of_o tenor_n or_o admiralty_n session_n be_v thereunto_o compel_v or_o compellable_n by_o not_o give_v their_o attendance_n on_o board_n as_o require_v or_o any_o creek_n or_o harbour_n of_o the_o same_o shall_v first_o receive_v into_o she_o any_o merchant_n good_n to_o be_v transport_v into_o any_o part_n beyond_o the_o sea_n the_o master_n or_o his_o mate_n shall_v every_o day_n be_v aboard_o the_o say_a ship_n or_o vessel_n to_o see_v the_o say_v merchant_n good_n safe_o take_v in_o bestow_v and_o place_v within_o the_o say_a ship_n if_o she_o shall_v be_v at_o blackwall_n or_o above_o and_o likewise_o upon_o the_o return_n of_o every_o ship_n from_o their_o voyage_n the_o master_n or_o his_o mate_n shall_v be_v aboard_o every_o day_n to_o see_v and_o provide_v that_o the_o merchant_n good_n be_v orderly_o and_o safe_o deliver_v out_o of_o the_o say_a ship_n if_o she_o shall_v be_v at_o blackwal_n or_o above_o as_o aforesaid_a lawful_a and_o reasonable_a excuse_n always_o except_v and_o if_o the_o say_a ship_n shall_v be_v below_o blackwall_n than_o the_o master_n or_o his_o mate_n shall_v be_v aboard_o three_o time_n in_o a_o week_n or_o every_o other_o day_n for_o the_o purpose_n aforesaid_a and_o for_o every_o time_n their_o neglect_v so_o to_o do_v they_o shall_v forfeit_v and_o pay_v each_o of_o they_o to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o poor_a of_o this_o corporation_n the_o sum_n of_o six_o shilling_n and_o eight_o penny_n it_o be_v further_a order_v that_o the_o mate_n boatswain_z gunner_z and_o carpenter_n or_o two_o of_o themat_n least_o do_v constant_o lie_v on_o board_n whilst_o the_o ship_n shall_v have_v any_o good_n remain_v in_o she_o or_o shall_v forfeit_v and_o pay_v each_o of_o they_o for_o every_o such_o neglect_n to_o the_o use_n of_o of_o the_o poor_a of_o this_o corporation_n the_o sum_n of_o five_o shilling_n iv_o item_n whereas_o by_o reason_n of_o powder_n be_v take_v aboard_o ship_n before_o their_o departure_n out_o of_o the_o river_n of_o thames_n place_n the_o penalty_n of_o take_v or_o keep_v powder_n aboard_o but_o at_o such_o time_n and_o place_n and_o by_o be_v keep_v aboard_o at_o their_o return_n in_o the_o time_n of_o their_o unlade_v as_o also_o by_o the_o heat_n of_o pitch_n tar_n rozine_n grease_n tallow_n oil_n etc._n etc._n aboard_o ship_n there_o have_v often_o happen_v great_a loss_n by_o fire_n to_o merchant_n and_o owner_n it_o be_v order_v that_o no_o ship_n outward_a bind_v do_v receive_v on_o board_n any_o powder_n either_o for_o merchandise_n or_o store_n for_o the_o voyage_n before_o she_o shall_v be_v at_o or_o below_o blackwall_n and_o not_o there_o till_o within_o twenty_o four_o hour_n before_o she_o shall_v set_v sail_n from_o thence_o to_o gravesend_n and_o that_o every_o ship_n homeward_o bind_v do_v put_v ashore_o her_o powder_n as_o aforesaid_a at_o or_o before_o her_o arrival_n at_o blackwall_n and_o that_o within_o twenty_o four_o hour_n if_o the_o wether_n shall_v permit_v after_o her_o come_n to_o a_o anchor_n there_o or_o at_o the_o place_n of_o she_o unload_v upon_o the_o penalty_n of_o the_o master_n of_o every_o such_o ship_n forfeit_v and_o pay_v to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o poor_a of_o this_o corporation_n for_o every_o time_n so_o
