your_o answer_n the_o strength_n of_o your_o reason_n be_v thus_o that_o we_o do_v submit_v to_o the_o direction_n of_o both_o house_n of_o parliament_n for_o the_o order_n of_o the_o army_n etc._n will_v declare_v that_o by_o submit_v to_o all_o ordinance_n of_o parliament_n be_v only_o intend_v such_o ordinance_n as_o concern_v the_o order_n and_o dispose_n of_o the_o army_n though_o that_o offer_v of_o we_o be_v in_o case_n that_o way_n of_o accommodation_n which_o be_v wave_v by_o the_o parliament_n be_v lay_v hold_v of_o of_o any_o thing_n wherein_o we_o therefore_o conceive_v no_o use_n shall_v be_v make_v in_o this_o treaty_n since_o that_o way_n lay_v aside_o yet_o such_o a_o declaration_n will_v as_o that_o point_n give_v satisfaction_n the_o five_o exception_n be_v that_o the_o king_n direction_n for_o the_o delivery_n up_o of_o the_o government_n be_v not_o obtain_v and_o that_o our_o commissioner_n be_v command_v to_o forbear_v the_o deliver_n unto_o the_o scottish_a commissioner_n the_o duplicate_v of_o the_o letter_n which_o we_o and_o the_o council_n have_v write_v to_o his_o majesty_n concern_v the_o same_o to_o which_o you_o make_v these_o answer_n viz._n that_o our_o commissioner_n do_v declare_v that_o if_o supply_v be_v not_o instant_o dispatch_v that_o we_o will_v take_v it_o for_o grant_v that_o none_o will_v be_v send_v which_o be_v the_o ground_n of_o hasten_v the_o say_a supply_n whereas_o the_o word_n of_o our_o instruction_n wero_n that_o if_o within_o a_o reasonable_a time_n after_o land_v of_o our_o commissioner_n they_o do_v cause_n to_o believe_v for_o that_o our_o commissioner_n by_o command_n of_o the_o committee_n before_o who_o they_o be_v hear_v signify_v to_o we_o their_o message_n be_v cheerful_o accept_v whereof_o the_o send_n of_o supply_n be_v but_o a_o part_n nor_o can_v it_o be_v reasonable_o object_v to_o we_o that_o we_o refuse_v those_o supply_n since_o none_o of_o the_o condition_n wherein_o we_o express_v our_o willingness_n to_o receive_v they_o be_v offer_v to_o we_o in_o manner_n as_o be_v desire_v especial_o that_o fundamental_a one_o of_o procure_v the_o king_n command_n for_o deliver_v up_o the_o sword_n and_o garrison_n which_o be_v the_o way_n fix_v on_o by_o the_o parliament_n we_o much_o wonder_v be_v not_o endeavour_v as_o well_o it_o may_v have_v be_v and_o a_o answer_n have_v before_o you_o come_v from_o london_n and_o if_o it_o have_v be_v obtain_v there_o have_v be_v no_o need_n of_o send_v it_o to_o we_o till_o your_o arrival_n and_o if_o it_o have_v be_v refuse_v the_o parliament_n in_o their_o great_a wisdom_n and_o knowledge_n of_o the_o duty_n of_o one_o so_o high_o trust_v will_v have_v find_v some_o other_o expedient_a to_o extend_v their_o letter_n shall_v be_v from_o hence_o send_v to_o new_a castle_n and_o answer_v thereof_o return_v to_o we_o and_o that_o the_o parliament_n have_v no_o reason_n to_o conceive_v that_o we_o intend_v so_o to_o insist_v on_o the_o king_n direction_n as_o without_o it_o we_o will_v not_o conclude_v etc._n etc._n as_o also_o consider_v how_o passionate_o we_o represent_v to_o the_o parliament_n the_o importance_n of_o the_o city_n and_o castle_n of_o dublin_n etc._n etc._n and_o how_o undoubted_o all_o must_v miscarry_v if_o supply_n do_v not_o speedy_o come_v that_o yet_o the_o king_n consent_n shall_v be_v so_o insist_v upon_o as_o none_o of_o the_o forementioned_a consideration_n shall_v purchase_v a_o dispensation_n therein_o and_o to_o induce_v we_o thereunto_o you_o propose_v unto_o we_o example_n of_o the_o deliver_n up_o of_o other_o garrison_n and_o force_n in_o england_n as_o in_o particular_a that_o of_o oxford_n etc._n etc._n without_o have_v any_o explicit_a direction_n from_o the_o king_n to_o deliver_v up_o the_o same_o we_o conceive_v the_o case_n of_o oxford_n to_o be_v different_a from_o this_o for_o sir_n thomas_n fairfax_n to_o who_o the_o city_n of_o oxford_n
