endeavour_v to_o alienate_v the_o heart_n of_o his_o hajesty_n subject_n from_o he_o by_o word_n of_o his_o own_o and_o by_o artificial_a insinuation_n of_o his_o creature_n and_o dependence_n that_o his_o majesty_n be_v incline_v to_o popery_n and_o have_v a_o design_n to_o alter_v the_o religion_n establish_v in_o this_o kingdom_n that_o in_o pursuance_n of_o that_o traitorous_a intent_n he_o have_v to_o several_a person_n of_o his_o majesty_n privy-council_n hold_v discourse_n to_o this_o effect_n viz._n that_o his_o majesty_n be_v dangerous_o corrupt_v in_o his_o religion_n and_o incline_v to_o propery_n that_o person_n of_o that_o religion_n have_v such_o access_n and_o such_o credit_n with_o he_o that_o unless_o there_o be_v a_o careful_a eye_n have_v unto_o it_o the_o protestant_a religion_n will_v be_v overthrow_v in_o this_o kingdom_n and_o in_o pursuance_n of_o the_o say_v wicked_a and_o traitorous_a intent_n upon_o his_o majesty_n admit_v sir_n henry_n bennet_n to_o be_v principal_a secretary_n of_o state_n in_o the_o place_n of_o mr._n secretary_n nicholas_n he_o have_v say_v these_o word_n or_o word_n to_o this_o effect_n that_o his_o majesty_n have_v give_v 10000l_o to_o remove_v a_o zealous_a protestant_n that_o he_o may_v bring_v into_o that_o place_n of_o high_a trust_n a_o conceal_a papist_n notwithstanding_o that_o the_o say_a sir_n henry_n bennet_n be_v know_v to_o have_v ever_o be_v both_o in_o his_o profession_n and_o practice_n constant_a to_o the_o protestant_a religion_n that_o in_o pursuance_n of_o the_o same_o traitorous_a design_n several_a near_o friend_n and_o know_v dependence_n of_o he_o have_v say_v aloud_o that_o be_v it_o not_o for_o my_o lord_n chancellor_n stand_v in_o the_o gap_n popery_n will_v be_v introduce_v in_o this_o kingdom_n or_o word_n to_o that_o effect_n that_o in_o pursuance_n of_o the_o aforesaid_a traitorous_a design_n he_o have_v not_o only_o advise_v and_o persuade_v the_o king_n to_o do_v such_o thing_n contrary_a to_o his_o own_o reason_n and_o resolution_n as_o may_v confirm_v and_o increase_v the_o scandal_n which_o he_o have_v endeavour_v to_o raise_v upon_o his_o majesty_n as_o aforesaid_a of_o his_o favour_n to_o popery_n but_o more_o particular_o to_o allow_v his_o name_n to_o be_v use_v to_o the_o pope_n and_o several_a cardinal_n in_o the_o solicitation_n of_o a_o cardinal_n cap_n for_o the_o lord_n aubigney_n one_o of_o his_o own_o subject_n and_o great_a almoner_n at_o present_a to_o his_o royal_a consort_n the_o queen_n that_o in_o pursuance_n of_o the_o same_o wicked_a and_o traitorous_a design_n he_o have_v recommend_v to_o be_v employ_v to_o the_o pope_n one_o of_o his_o own_o domestic_n mr._n rich._n beal_v a_o person_n though_o a_o avow_v papist_n know_v to_o be_v trust_v and_o employ_v by_o he_o in_o dispatch_n and_o negotiation_n concern_v affair_n of_o great_a concernment_n to_o the_o nation_n that_o in_o pursuance_n of_o the_o say_v traitorous_a design_n he_o be_v chief_a minister_n of_o state_n do_v himself_o write_v by_o the_o say_v mr._n rich._n beal_v letter_n to_o several_a cardinal_n press_v they_o in_o the_o king_n name_n to_o induce_v the_o pope_n to_o confer_v a_o cardinal_n cap_n on_o the_o say_a lord_n aubigny_n promise_v in_o case_n it_o shall_v be_v attain_v exemption_n to_o the_o roman_a catholic_n of_o england_n from_o the_o penal_a law_n in_o force_n against_o they_o by_o which_o address_n unto_o the_o pope_n for_o that_o ecclesiastical_a dignity_n for_o one_o of_o his_o majesty_n subject_n and_o domestic_n he_o have_v as_o far_o as_o from_o one_o action_n can_v be_v infer_v traitorous_o acknowledge_v the_o pope_n ecclesiastical_a sovereignty_n contrary_a to_o the_o know_a law_n of_o this_o kingdom_n that_o in_o pursuance_n of_o the_o same_o traitorous_a design_n he_o have_v call_v unto_o he_o several_a priest_n and_o jesuit_n who_o be_v know_v to_o be_v superior_n of_o order_n here_o in_o england_n and_o desire_v they_o to_o write_v to_o their_o general_n at_o rome_n to_o give_v their_o help_n for_o the_o obtain_n from_o the_o pope_n the_o cardinal_n cap_n for_o the_o lord_n aubigny_n as_o aforesaid_a promise_v great_a favour_n to_o papist_n here_o in_o case_n it_o shall_v be_v effect_v for_o he_o that_o he_o have_v promise_v to_o several_a papist_n he_o will_v do_v his_o endeavour_n and_o say_v he_o hope_v to_o compass_v the_o take_v away_o all_o penal_a law_n against_o they_o which_o he_o do_v in_o pursuance_n of_o the_o traitorous_a design_n aforesaid_a to_o the_o end_n they_o may_v presume_v and_o grow_v vain_a upon_o his_o patronage_n and_o by_o their_o publish_v their_o hope_n of_o a_o toleration_n increase_v the_o scandal_n endeavour_v by_o he_o and_o by_o his_o emissary_n to_o be_v raise_v upon_o his_o majesty_n throughout_o the_o kingdom_n that_o in_o pursuance_n of_o the_o same_o traitorous_a design_n be_v entrust_v with_o the_o treaty_n betwixt_o his_o majesty_n and_o his_o royal_a consort_n the_o queen_n be_v conclude_v it_o upon_o article_n scandalous_a and_o dangerous_a to_o the_o protestant_a religion_n that_o in_o pursuance_n of_o the_o same_o traitorous_a design_n he_o conclude_v the_o same_o marriage_n and_o bring_v the_o king_n and_o queen_n together_o without_o any_o settle_a agreement_n in_o what_o manner_n the_o right_n of_o marriage_n shall_v be_v perform_v whereby_o the_o queen_n refuse_v to_o be_v marry_v by_o a_o protestant_a priest_n in_o case_n of_o she_o be_v with_o child_n either_o the_o succession_n shall_v be_v make_v uncertain_a for_o want_v of_o the_o due_a right_n of_o matrimony_n or_o else_o his_o majesty_n to_o be_v expose_v to_o a_o suspicion_n of_o have_v be_v marry_v in_o his_o own_o dominion_n by_o a_o romish_a priest_n whereby_o all_o the_o former_a scandal_n endeavour_v to_o be_v raise_v upon_o his_o majesty_n by_o the_o say_a earl_n as_o to_o point_v of_o popery_n may_v be_v confirm_v and_o heighten_v that_o have_v thus_o traitorous_o endeavour_v to_o alienate_v the_o affection_n of_o his_o majesty_n subject_n from_o he_o upon_o the_o score_n of_o religion_n he_o have_v endeavour_v to_o make_v use_n of_o all_o the_o malicious_a scandal_n and_o jealousy_n which_o he_o and_o his_o emissary_n have_v raise_v in_o his_o majesty_n subject_n to_o raise_v from_o they_o unto_o himself_o the_o popular_a applause_n of_o be_v the_o zealous_a upholder_n of_o the_o protestant_a religion_n and_o a_o promoter_n of_o new_a severity_n against_o papist_n that_o he_o have_v traitorous_o endeavour_v to_o alienate_v
