lord_n mayor_n of_o the_o city_n of_o london_n the_o recorder_n and_o alderman_n for_o the_o time_n be_v together_o with_o such_o other_o commissioner_n as_o his_o majesty_n shall_v appoint_v under_o the_o great_a seal_n of_o england_n or_o any_o five_o of_o they_o shall_v have_v full_a power_n and_o authority_n to_o receive_v all_o subscription_n and_o payment_n of_o voluntary_a contribution_n of_o money_n or_o other_o endowment_n towards_o the_o amendment_n and_o enlargement_n of_o the_o street_n and_o place_n beforenamed_n or_o so_o much_o of_o they_o or_o any_o of_o they_o as_o the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o any_o five_o or_o more_o of_o they_o shall_v judge_v fit_a and_o necessary_a and_o be_v hereby_o further_o empower_v to_o treat_v and_o agree_v with_o the_o owner_n and_o occupier_n of_o any_o such_o house_n as_o they_o shall_v judge_v fit_a to_o be_v remove_v rebuilt_a or_o pull_v down_o or_o any_o part_n of_o they_o and_o upon_o payment_n of_o such_o sum_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n so_o agree_v upon_o be_v hereby_o authorize_v to_o appoint_v workman_n to_o pull_v the_o say_a house_n down_o or_o cause_v the_o say_a owner_n or_o occupier_n to_o rebuild_v according_o of_o any_o the_o say_a owner_n or_o occupier_n as_o if_o the_o same_o have_v be_v sell_v by_o deed_n feoffment_n bargain_n and_o sale_n or_o other_o assurance_n in_o the_o law_n and_o do_v by_o fine_a and_o recovery_n or_o any_o other_o way_n whatsoever_o and_o if_o there_o shall_v be_v any_o person_n body_n corporate_a or_o collegiate_n that_o shall_v wilful_o refuse_v to_o treat_v and_o agree_v as_o aforesaid_a or_o through_o any_o disability_n by_o nonage_n coverture_n or_o a_o special_a entail_v or_o other_o impediment_n can_v that_o in_o such_o case_n the_o say_v commissioner_n be_v hereby_o authorize_v by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n to_o issue_v out_o warrant_n or_o warrant_n to_o the_o sheriff_n of_o london_n who_o be_v hereby_o require_v according_o to_o impannel_n and_o return_v a_o jury_n before_o the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o any_o five_o of_o they_o which_o jury_n upon_o their_o oath_n to_o be_v administer_v by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n be_v to_o inquire_v and_o assess_v such_o damage_n and_o recompense_v as_o they_o shall_v judge_v fit_a to_o be_v award_v to_o the_o owner_n and_o occupier_n or_o either_o of_o they_o of_o any_o such_o house_n or_o any_o part_n thereof_o for_o their_o respective_a estate_n and_o interest_n in_o the_o same_o as_o by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n shall_v be_v adjudge_v fit_a to_o be_v pull_v down_o for_o the_o purpose_n aforesaid_a and_o such_o verdict_n of_o the_o jury_n and_o judgement_n of_o the_o say_a commissioner_n thereupon_o and_o the_o legal_a payment_n or_o tender_a of_o the_o sum_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n so_o award_v and_o adjudge_v shall_v be_v bind_v to_o all_o intent_n and_o purpose_n against_o the_o say_a party_n their_o heir_n executor_n administrator_n and_o assign_v and_o other_o claim_v any_o title_n or_o interest_n in_o the_o say_a house_n or_o in_o the_o ground_n whereupon_o they_o stand_v or_o thereunto_o belong_v and_o shall_v be_v a_o full_a authority_n for_o the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o any_o five_o of_o they_o to_o cause_v the_o same_o to_o be_v execute_v and_o the_o say_a house_n according_o to_o be_v remove_v and_o pull_v down_o and_o whereas_o the_o house_n that_o shall_v remain_v stand_v on_o the_o other_o side_n the_o say_a street_n or_o stréets_n or_o behind_o the_o say_a house_n that_o shall_v be_v so_o pull_v down_o as_o aforesaid_a will_v receive_v much_o advantage_n in_o the_o value_n of_o their_o rent_n by_o the_o liberty_n of_o air_n and_o free_a recourse_n for_o trade_n and_o other_o conveniency_n by_o such_o enlargement_n it_o be_v also_o enact_v by_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o in_o case_n of_o refusal_n or_o in_o capacity_n commissioner_n what_o may_v be_v do_v in_o case_n of_o refusal_n to_o compound_v with_o the_o commissioner_n as_o aforesaid_a of_o the_o owner_n or_o occupier_n of_o the_o say_a house_n to_o agree_v and_o compound_v with_o the_o commissioner_n for_o the_o same_o thereupon_o a_o jury_n shall_v and_o may_v be_v impanel_v in_o manner_n and_o form_n aforesaid_a to_o judge_n and_o assess_v upon_o the_o owner_n and_o occupier_n of_o such_o house_n such_o competent_a sum_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n or_o annual_a rent_n in_o consideration_n of_o such_o improvement_n and_o melioration_n as_o in_o reason_n and_o good_a conscience_n they_o shall_v judge_n and_o think_v fit_a which_o say_v sum_n and_o sum_n of_o money_n or_o rent_n shall_v be_v pay_v to_o the_o chamberlain_n of_o the_o city_n of_o london_n for_o the_o time_n be_v and_o such_o other_o treasurer_n or_o treasurer_n as_o shall_v be_v appoint_v by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o any_o five_o or_o more_o of_o they_o who_o be_v hereby_o enable_v from_o time_n to_o time_n to_o receive_v and_o recover_v the_o same_o by_o action_n at_o law_n and_o who_o receipt_n shall_v be_v a_o good_a discharge_n to_o the_o say_a owner_n and_o tenant_n and_o who_o be_v hereby_o appoint_v to_o receive_v and_o pay_v and_o be_v accountable_a for_o the_o same_o according_a to_o such_o direction_n as_o shall_v from_o time_n to_o time_n be_v give_v they_o by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n and_o the_o money_n so_o raise_v or_o rent_n so_o receive_v shall_v be_v expend_v upon_o the_o purchase_n or_o re-building_n house_n on_o the_o other_o side_n the_o street_n and_o upon_o pave_v and_o amend_v of_o the_o way_n and_o street_n aforesaid_a according_a to_o the_o purport_n of_o this_o act._n and_o the_o say_a verdict_n of_o the_o jury_n and_o judgement_n of_o the_o commissioner_n in_o the_o case_n aforesaid_a shall_v be_v sufficient_a and_o conclusive_a in_o law_n to_o all_o intent_n and_o purpose_n against_o the_o say_a owner_n and_o occupier_n their_o heir_n executor_n administrator_n and_o assign_v act._n every_o commissioner_n to_o take_v a_o oath_n for_o the_o faithful_a performance_n of_o this_o act._n provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o no_o person_n shall_v be_v enable_v to_o act_v as_o a_o commissioner_n to_o the_o intent_n and_o purpose_n aforesaid_a until_o he_o shall_v first_o have_v take_v his_o corporal_a oath_n before_o the_o shall_v reserve_v three_o print_a copy_n of_o the_o best_a and_o large_a paper_n of_o every_o book_n new_o print_v or_o reprint_v by_o he_o with_o addition_n and_o shall_v before_o any_o public_a vend_v of_o the_o say_a book_n bring_v they_o to_o the_o master_n of_o the_o company_n of_o stationer_n and_o deliver_v they_o to_o he_o one_o whereof_z shall_v by_o the_o say_a master_n of_o the_o
