wales_n shall_v be_v serve_v to_o testify_v or_o depose_v concern_v any_o matter_n depend_v in_o any_o of_o the_o same_o court_n and_o have_v tender_v to_o he_o according_a to_o his_o countenance_n h._n 8._o 9_o against_o such_o as_o shall_v suborn_v witness_n to_o the_o hindrance_n of_o justice_n and_o the_o procurement_n of_o perjury_n since_o the_o make_n whereof_o for_o that_o the_o penalty_n therein_o be_v small_a towards_o the_o offender_n in_o that_o behalf_n the_o say_a offence_n of_o subornation_n and_o sinister_a procurement_n of_o false_a witness_n do_v nevertheless_o great_o increase_v and_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o wilful_a perjury_n commit_v by_o the_o same_o suborn_a witness_n diverse_a person_n do_v sustain_v disherison_n and_o great_a impoverishment_n as_o well_o of_o their_o land_n and_o tenement_n as_o of_o their_o good_n and_o cattle_n witness_n the_o penalty_n for_o procure_v of_o wilful_a perjury_n in_o witness_n for_o the_o redress_n and_o more_o the_o penalty_n for_o commit_v of_o wilful_a perjury_n unlawful_a procurement_n sinister_a persuasion_n or_o mean_n of_o any_o other_o or_o by_o their_o own_o act_n consent_n or_o agreement_n shall_v wilful_o and_o corrupt_o commit_v any_o manner_n of_o wilful_a perjury_n by_o he_o or_o their_o deposition_n in_o any_o of_o the_o court_n before_o mention_v or_o be_v examine_v ad_fw-la perpetuam_fw-la rei_fw-la memoriam_fw-la then_o every_o person_n or_o person_n offend_v shall_v for_o his_o or_o their_o say_a offence_n loose_a and_o forfeit_v twenty_o pound_n to_o the_o king_n shall_v have_v authority_n by_o virtue_n hereof_o to_o inquire_v of_o all_o and_o every_o the_o default_n and_o offence_n commit_v contrary_a to_o this_o act_n by_o inquisition_n presentment_n bill_n or_o information_n before_o they_o exhibit_v or_o otherwise_o lawful_o to_o hear_v and_o determine_v the_o same_o and_o thereupon_o to_o give_v judgement_n award_v process_n and_o execution_n of_o the_o same_o according_a to_o the_o course_n of_o the_o law_n of_o this_o realm_n statute_n proclamation_n of_o this_o statute_n 24_o the_o justice_n of_o assize_n of_o every_o circuit_n within_o this_o realm_n shall_v in_o every_o county_n within_o their_o circuit_n two_o time_n in_o the_o year_n 9_o st._n 5._o el._n 9_o viz._n in_o the_o time_n of_o their_o sit_n make_v open_a proclamation_n of_o this_o statute_n or_o of_o the_o effect_n thereof_o to_o the_o intent_n that_o no_o person_n shall_v be_v ignorant_a of_o the_o penalty_n herein_o contain_v court_n perjury_n punish_v in_o the_o spiritual_a court_n 25_o provide_v that_o this_o act_n or_o any_o thing_n therein_o contain_v 9_o st._n 5._o el._n 9_o shall_v not_o extend_v to_o any_o spiritual_a or_o ecclesiastical_a court_n within_o this_o realm_n of_o england_n or_o wales_n or_o the_o march_n of_o the_o same_o but_o all_o and_o every_o such_o offendor_n and_o offender_n as_o shall_v offend_v in_o form_n aforesaid_a shall_v and_o may_v be_v punish_v by_o such_o usual_a and_o ordinary_a law_n as_o heretofore_o have_v be_v and_o yet_o be_v use_v in_o the_o say_v ecclesiastical_a court_n any_o thing_n in_o this_o act_n etc._n etc._n notwithstanding_o starchamber_n perjury_n punishable_a in_o the_o starchamber_n 26_o provide_v that_o this_o act_n shall_v not_o extend_v to_o restrain_v the_o power_n or_o council_n to_o examine_v and_o punish_v riot_n rout_n heinous_a perjury_n and_o other_o offence_n which_o have_v use_v to_o hear_v and_o determine_v such_o matter_n in_o the_o star-chamber_n at_o westminster_n nor_o to_o restrain_v the_o power_n of_o the_o lord_n president_n and_o council_n in_o the_o march_n of_o wales_n or_o in_o the_o north_n nor_o of_o any_o other_o judge_n have_v absolute_a authority_n to_o punish_v perjury_n before_o the_o make_n of_o this_o statute_n but_o but_o they_o and_o every_o of_o they_o shall_v proceed_v in_o the_o punishment_n of_o all_o offence_n heretofore_o punishable_a in_o such_o wise_a as_o they_o may_v have_v do_v and_o use_v to_o do_v before_o the_o make_n of_o this_o act_n to_o all_o purpose_n so_o that_o they_o set_v not_o upon_o the_o offender_n less_o punishment_n than_o be_v contain_v in_o this_o act._n 27_o because_o by_o the_o say_a statute_n of_o 5._o eliz._n 9_o there_o be_v no_o ordinance_n make_v for_o the_o punishment_n of_o those_o bankrupt_n who_o be_v swear_v and_o examine_v upon_o interrogatory_n by_o commissioner_n thereunto_o authorize_v shall_v commit_v perjury_n nor_o for_o the_o punishment_n of_o those_o witness_n who_o either_o by_o the_o procurement_n of_o other_o or_o by_o their_o own_o consent_n shall_v commit_v perjury_n be_v examine_v by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n touch_v bankrupt_n good_n or_o debt_n therefore_o by_o a_o statute_n make_v anno_fw-la 1._o 15._o st._n 1._o jac._n 15._o jac._n it_o be_v ordain_v that_o it_o shall_v be_v lawful_a for_o the_o commissioner_n england_n or_o above_o the_o party_n so_o offend_v shall_v or_o may_v thereof_o be_v indict_v in_o any_o of_o the_o king_n court_n of_o record_n and_o be_v lawful_o convict_v thereof_o shall_v stand_v
