we_o know_v certain_o to_o be_v able_a to_o do_v no_o part_n of_o a_o pastor_n duty_n sufficient_o another_o which_o to_o do_v be_v a_o great_a and_o just_a offence_n but_o we_o defend_v one_o &_o they_o impugn_v another_o albeit_o under_o the_o quarrel_n against_o that_o other_o they_o mean_v to_o wring_v out_o indeed_o both_o the_o one_o and_o the_o other_o and_o not_o only_o the_o mere_a insufficient_a pastor_n but_o the_o most_o sufficient_a as_o for_o we_o we_o only_o speak_v in_o defence_n and_o that_o but_o by_o the_o way_n of_o toleration_n for_o a_o time_n of_o such_o as_o be_v not_o altogether_o unmeete_a forth_o but_o willing_a and_o able_a to_o do_v some_o part_n or_o the_o more_o part_n and_o that_o sufficient_o of_o a_o pastor_n office_n though_o not_o all_o or_o all_o though_o not_o in_o such_o sort_n as_o other_o better_o learn_v that_o can_v public_o interpret_v and_o apply_v the_o scripture_n to_o the_o circumstance_n of_o time_n place_n person_n occasion_n and_o in_o public_a preach_n have_v the_o gift_n learned_o and_o effectual_o to_o exhort_v to_o comfort_v to_o admonish_v to_o reprehend_v the_o hearer_n and_o to_o confute_v the_o gainsayer_n although_o they_o be_v yet_o able_a to_o do_v these_o thing_n better_a in_o private_a and_o in_o public_a they_o follow_v the_o form_n set_v down_o and_o appoint_v of_o godly_a and_o learned_a homily_n not_o but_o that_o we_o hearty_o wish_v as_o well_o as_o they_o that_o all_o pastor_n can_v as_o free_o and_o learned_o preach_v as_o can_v the_o best_a at_o least_o better_o than_o they_o now_o can_v and_o the_o godly_a bishop_n and_o prelate_n do_v i_o hope_v endeavour_n themselves_o in_o their_o charge_n to_o exercise_v the_o pastor_n thereunto_o neither_o do_v we_o allow_v that_o the_o pastoral_n charge_n shall_v be_v commit_v unto_o any_o that_o in_o any_o respect_n be_v insufficient_a but_o if_o it_o be_v before_o commit_v unto_o they_o except_o they_o be_v altogether_o such_o only_a as_o shall_v be_v more_o sufficient_a to_o discharge_v it_o and_o this_o not_o only_o we_o like_v and_o agree_v unto_o but_o i_o trust_v yea_o i_o know_v in_o many_o place_n so_o far_o government_n and_o to_o avoid_v suspicion_n or_o to_o win_v favour_n but_o if_o in_o very_a deed_n they_o mean_v as_o they_o say_v they_o will_v never_o thus_o impugn_v the_o establish_a government_n order_n law_n and_o proceed_n of_o her_o majesty_n they_o confess_v that_o under_o her_o most_o gracious_a government_n the_o time_n have_v already_o prosperous_o pass_v and_o yet_o they_o infer_v under_o hand_n defame_v that_o it_o have_v pass_v so_o unprosperouslie_o that_o in_o less_o than_o half_a the_o time_n they_o dare_v jeopard_v their_o life_n if_o they_o may_v have_v their_o devise_n bring_v to_o pass_v that_o the_o necessity_n of_o learned_a preacher_n shall_v be_v so_o well_o supply_v as_o we_o shall_v have_v no_o great_a cause_n to_o complain_v for_o lack_v of_o they_o and_o fair_a and_o colourable_a speech_n lest_o our_o breath_n may_v seem_v in_o any_o show_n to_o come_v near_o to_o those_o dissemble_a hypocrite_n who_o david_n so_o grievous_o complain_v on_o psal._n 54._o saying_n if_o my_o enemy_n have_v defame_v i_o i_o can_v have_v bear_v it_o and_o if_o my_o adversary_n have_v exalt_v himself_o against_o i_o i_o will_v have_v hide_v i_o from_o he_o but_o it_o be_v thou_o o_o man_n even_o my_o companion_n my_o guide_n and_o my_o familiar_a which_o do_v eat_v sweet_a meat_n together_o with_o mâ—_n yea_o wâ—_n wall_v together_o in_o the_o house_n of_o god_n as_o companion_n and_o shall_v it_o be_v say_v of_o those_o that_o not_o only_o live_v in_o one_o realm_n and_o be_v or_o shall_v be_v govern_v by_o one_o law_n under_o one_o most_o gracious_a which_o they_o promise_v and_o imagine_v shall_v be_v do_v in_o less_o than_o half_a the_o time_n that_o be_v already_o pass_v well_o may_v our_o brethren_n blemish_v the_o time_n that_o be_v already_o pass_v as_o not_o very_o prosperous_o pass_v though_o for_o a_o show_n they_o say_v so_o but_o to_o determine_v de_fw-fr future_a contingenti_fw-la â—aâ—ors_n for_o that_o which_o may_v read_v the_o confession_n the_o collect_v or_o brief_a public_a prayer_n in_o the_o matin_n and_o evensong_n they_o be_v say_v but_o our_o brethren_n demand_v be_v there_o not_o many_o that_o have_v much_o rather_o here_o a_o chant_v matin_n and_o evensong_n than_o a_o godly_a and_o learned_a sermon_n protestant_n uery_o in_o my_o opinion_n to_o answer_v upright_o i_o think_v there_o be_v not_o many_o nor_o any_o mean_v godly_a zealous_a protestant_n learn_v or_o unlearned_a that_o so_o have_v rather_o i_o grant_v of_o other_o sort_n there_o may_v be_v many_o that_o so_o have_v rather_o but_o do_v this_o follow_v hereupon_o that_o although_o there_o be_v many_o which_o have_v rather_o hear_v the_o one_o than_o the_o other_o that_o therefore_o we_o shall_v take_v the_o one_o or_o the_o other_o clean_o away_o may_v they_o not_o rather_o sith_o both_o of_o they_o in_o their_o degree_n be_v lawful_a and_o good_a hear_v both_o the_o one_o &_o the_o other_o too_o or_o if_o they_o under_o pretence_n of_o hear_v the_o sermon_n refuse_v to_o hear_v the_o ordinary_a divine_a service_n of_o the_o public_a prayer_n now_o for_o proof_n hereof_o that_o many_o among_o we_o be_v faulty_a in_o frequent_v the_o divine_a service_n and_o refuse_v the_o sermon_n they_o say_v bridge_n let_v cathedral_n church_n etc._n etc._n be_v a_o example_n where_o you_o shall_v see_v a_o great_a number_n that_o tarry_v while_o the_o service_n be_v sing_v but_o depart_v as_o soon_o as_o the_o sermon_n begin_v to_o prove_v these_o instance_n allege_v cathedral_n church_n must_v be_v the_o example_n for_o what_o place_n they_o mean_v by_o this_o etc._n etc._n we_o may_v rather_o conjecture_v than_o they_o dare_v utter_v and_o it_o may_v be_v that_o some_o do_v so_o and_o yet_o if_o their_o so_o do_v be_v so_o ordinary_a that_o they_o be_v note_v thereof_o note_v thereof_o they_o be_v call_v into_o question_n for_o the_o same_o church_n but_o howsoever_o it_o may_v be_v in_o some_o it_o be_v not_o so_o i_o be_o sure_a in_o all_o cathedral_n church_n but_o rather_o the_o clean_a contrary_n service_n when_o they_o come_v to_o the_o cathedral_n church_n not_o so_o much_o most_o part_n of_o cathedral_n and_o collegiate_n church_n or_o such_o other_o principal_a ch._n or_o chapel_n throughout_o the_o realm_n where_o you_o shall_v not_o see_v many_o at_o the_o service_n song_n but_o towards_o the_o end_v of_o the_o service_n or_o so_o soon_o as_o the_o sermon_n begnni_v in_o flock_n they_o draw_v thither_o yea_o there_o be_v order_n take_v if_o they_o will_v not_o that_o they_o shall_v and_o therefore_o this_o be_v quite_o contrary_a but_o our_o brethr_n to_o help_v their_o forth_o proceed_v to_o the_o organ_n bridge_n while_o the_o organ_n pipe_n some_o be_v but_o for_o a_o thorough_a passage_n and_o partly_o to_o walk_v up_o and_o down_o almost_o all_o day_n long_o spend_v the_o time_n beneath_o in_o talk_v or_o bargain_v or_o other_o worldly_a matter_n but_o these_o do_v so_o as_o much_o at_o the_o divine_a service_n as_o at_o any_o sermon_n in_o the_o quéere_n above_o but_o common_o there_o the_o sermon_n be_v preach_v in_o the_o churchyard_n and_o that_o with_o a_o great_a assembly_n of_o other_o parish_n where_o they_o have_v no_o sermon_n yea_o though_o they_o have_v a_o sermon_n many_o of_o they_o in_o their_o own_o or_o in_o other_o parish_n beside_o and_o all_o that_o while_n that_o the_o sermon_n be_v in_o that_o churchyard_n none_o be_v permit_v to_o walk_v or_o to_o abide_v in_o the_o cathedral_n church_n and_o if_o the_o sermon_n that_o be_v in_o the_o church_n be_v so_o provide_v also_o i_o speak_v but_o my_o opinion_n and_o under_o correction_n that_o they_o be_v make_v in_o the_o body_n of_o the_o church_n and_o small_a thing_n and_o much_o less_o in_o great_a thing_n as_o ought_v to_o learn_v the_o truth_n of_o they_o in_o all_o matter_n and_o therefore_o go_v to_o they_o and_o let_v they_o determine_v those_o controversy_n if_o our_o brother_n shall_v hear_v this_o tale_n and_o their_o own_o word_n thus_o du_o return_v on_o themselves_o may_v they_o not_o then_o think_v they_o have_v well_o help_v determine_v except_o we_o will_v yield_v to_o they_o or_o they_o will_v yield_v to_o we_o or_o both_o to_o some_o other_o as_o to_o her_o majesty_n and_o the_o parliament_n but_o if_o they_o shall_v so_o do_v they_o shall_v convince_v themselves_o before_o hand_n that_o the_o form_n be_v untrue_a and_o false_a which_o they_o have_v already_o before_o hand_n not_o only_o avow_a to_o be_v true_a
